We had our third slab leak in three years so we finally decided to get a quote to re-pipe our two story home. Reuben from Repipe Expert came to our home on a Sat. explained to us in great detail the work that needed to be done and gave us a quote in writing before he left an hour later . He had answered all of our questions and made some great suggestions as to how to solve some unique issues and how to minimize the number of "intrusions" he'd need to make in our walls. We felt very confident giving the contract to Reuben and his crew! On Monday morning he showed up right on time with a crew of four guys and went right to work, covering all our wood floors with tarps, moving furniture to rooms that wouldn't be involved and covering the rest with heavy plastic tarps. The re-piping with PEX went very smoothly, and by the end of the second day the water had been completely restored. Reuben's crew patched all the holes and textured them to match the untouched areas. We were certain matching the existing texture would be a part of the job we'd be unhappy with but we were completely wrong. Reuben's in-house crew did a fantastic job with the texture and when it dried and was painted, it was difficult to tell old from new. The entire job took three full days, we didn't have to leave the home and go to a hotel and the crew cleaned up well beyond what we expected. We'd highly recommend Repipe Expert to anyone who reads this review. They've done a whole neighborhood near us (45 plus homes) and are truly the experts they claim to be. After having our first slab leak, we looked at different options like rerouting and epoxy coating but we weren't sure they worth for the money we had to spend. Then our neighbor recommend to repipe from his own experience having repipe done after 4th leaks at his house. Ruben was referred by that neighbor as trustworthy plumber. Yes, he was absolutely RIGHT about that. Ruben was not only an honest and good person but so professional. Our house gave him a bit of challenging task by having vaulted ceiling, requiring an additional dedicated irrigation line and travertine surrounded bathroom. However he always came up with the best solution for us and made sure our money was well spend. The travertine surrounded bathtub was the big issue for us since it didn't have an access panel. It was literally untouchable knowing travertine is soft stone and easily breakable. Ruben bravely and kindly offered his service to remove the tile to repipe and make travertine tile access panel without any extra charge. We were so nervous about that begging but his wingman, Agassi did absolutely amazing job! All of our neighbor and friends were so impressed by the result since they couldn't tell it was the access panel. Ruben and his crew were doing amazing team work and worked incredible efficiently so they could finish the job including all extra work we asked for in 2 and a half day. Having a slab leak was a quite stressful experience for us but Ruben and his team made it almost one of most pleasant experience. They were the Godsend plumber for us! read more

Last Oct. I did whole house copper repiping ( from the meter to the house ,3 bathrooms and one kitchen), past city inspection and got my permit. Ruben, Repipe expert is my contractor. I interviewed 7 contractors. Ruben's price was in the middle, not lowest. But I selected Ruben as my contractor. Except positive reviews, reasonable price, the most import reason for us to select him was Ruben promised he would personally work on this project. Since my wife thought the owner / boss had more experience so we want him to watch his team's work, to make sure the work quality, it is also good communication with owner directly if he work on the project personally. Except to apply permit Ruben spent his most of time personally worked on my project. Ruben and his team satisfied every requests that I asked. There is an example: Ruben originally suggested a height for my shower head. But we insist to hold original height. After installing the shower head we felt higher was better, so we asked Ruben to re do it to raise the height. He did what we asked. But after that we felt the location/height was not as good as what he originally suggested. So we asked him if he could re move this shower head again. He did , no complain. Now we were happy. Ruben's team are good too, they are polite, come on time, each person know what they should do, good work and clean. We are happy and highly recommend Ruben and his team. Ruben and his crew did a great job re-piping our San Pedro house with PEX. Ruben also did a nice job installing a tankless water heater with a build-in re-circulation pump. I was especially impressed by the drywall patching job. It was paint ready when they finished and it was done without sanding, minimizing the amount of dust generated. My walls have a orange peel texture which they matched. There was still some dust generated when the drywall holes were cut. Even though Ruben's crew but down ground cloths and plastic, some drywall dust still found its way in other areas of the house so I would recommend homeowners take extra steps to partition off areas or cover furniture with plastic to protect against air-born dust. Ruben made sure everything was working right before leaving. He added two check valves in the system to get the re-circulation system to work properly and prevent back-pressure into the pre-filter. He performed the job at the quoted price, which was significantly less than a major re-pipe competitor. Ruben is the one who provided me the price quote and he was there to perform and supervise most of the work. I much prefer this over talking to a salesman like I did with his competitor I highly recommend Repipe Expert if you need to repipe your house. I'm writing this review giving Ruben and his crew five stars, also saying a good job well done. Living in Carlsbad a two hour drive to our rental property in West Covina it was so very important for Ruben and his crew to show up as promised for the two times we were required to be there and they showed up as promised. Repipe Expert is the company we chose to re do a repipe job that was installed improperly. Ruben squeezed us in as there was no running water in this house for a week and he had the water on that same day, he came back the following week and after it passed inspection filled in the ditches outside plus patched the walls. We can't praise Ruben and his crew of relatives and childhood friends enough Ruben on the first day, he was working us in his busy schedule, had to leave to another job and we can say his crew worked as a team each helping one another never arguing and best of all they were actually singing, wow! I have used Ruben a few times. There is no problem he cannot solve. I've used many other plumbers who have no clue how to solve difficult problems. I wish I had found Ruben earlier. It would have saved me a lot of time and money in changing unnecessary parts, that didn't solve the problem. He is a very good communicator. He clearly explains what he is going to do, and he does it correctly. He shows you what he did throughout the whole process, so you aren't left wondering if he did the job that was agreed upon. He is very reliable. He shows up on time, and he does what he says he is going to do, and he usually does a few things above and beyond for free, just to make sure everything is right. He also does the drywall repair after the plumbing is finished, and it always looks really good. It is nice not to have to find a repair man to patch the wholes left by the typical plumber.
