They did a good job repiping my house but when the shower knob they installed failed and we couldn't turn off the water; they wouldn't respond during the weekend and their customer service said it wouldn't be until Monday. We had to shut off water to our house for the entire weekend because they have no after hours solutions. Unacceptable. Especially after spending $14,000.00. Not often do you get such good service nowadays. I had a leak in my pipe underneath the concrete and therefore decided to do repiping since I didn't want to take a chance having it happen again in a different part of the house. Anyway, I received several quotes and was pleasantly surprised that when Randy came over he explained the whole process and gave me a fair ( better than previous prices), so I decided on the spot to go with him. 2 days later 5 man showed up and worked diligently and in a neat fashion. Inspector came by and 2 days later they patched up all the holes with another 3 man. All extremely hard working people. My whole experience, during this stressful time, was handled so well, between the friendly office workers that kept me up to date, arranged inspection and were so pleasant to deal with. We needed the entire under-house portion of our drain system (sewer pipes and the drains from kitchen, bathrooms and washing machine) replaced. Randy explained the whole process clearly. Repipe specialist came out and replaced all the drains in my house in May 2024. The job was done quickly and they cleaned up their mess and I appreciated that. They are very expensive but the work was done quickly. Now, a couple of months after the drains were replaced, frogs are coming out of the drains in my bathroom. So clearly something is off. I called Repipe Specialists to ask them to come take a look. They want to charge me $200 and then refund it to me if they feel that it was their work that caused the issue. I don't have confidence in a company who cannot even back up their work without charging you 200 extra dollars to come take a peek at something they did. Meanwhile, I have to keep my drains closed at all times, otherwise frogs continue to come in through my bathroom drains. This is not a company who backs up their work. Because I am not a plumber, I won't know if the person who comes to determine if the issue was caused by their work or not is telling the truth. A warranty should cover the work. Drains were replaced and drains are now the issue. What else could it be? The frogs aren't getting into my house with a key and walking in through the door. Where do I start. Re-pipe specialists does not do their own work. They subcontract out plumbers to do the job. They did my re-piped both hot and cold side, stating that it only takes two days but, it Started on that Thursday Finished on the following week Thursday! I called to complain and didn't get an answer for two days. Spoke to regional sales manager and he claim he would do his investigation, but failed to get back to me in a acceptable time. When the regional sales manager came back to me, he said it was not his problem and that the contractor said that it was up to me to pull permits, it takes longer then two days, (but the website says something different) and what not. I did not except it because I was missed lead in the sale of the project! I called for his higher-ups and reached another manager. When I reached another manager, he agreed that no work with subpar We came to an agreement and the agreement was said I'd read receive a certain amount of money back but only received a quarter of that back due to the fact that accounting error on there in failed to complete! But we had a remodel going in downstairs of out home and have not been using all the fixtures! But when we use the upstairs tub the tub leaks led to downstairs stairs! So I called them back out, after I spent a lot of money repairing all the holes they inItially put in the walls, (57+)! When the plumber arrive he was more worry about the drywall replacement then the leak itself! It turned out to be my tub connection which they failed to even examine when do they reroute. They connected to old corroded copper one walls and my tub spot was not even tight it was loose. When I point out to the plumber that it was never like this he said not his problem. Tried talking to the regional sales manager but he it was not the problem because contract did not say replace angle stops but the connected to old pipeline to even to the stops also the just tie on and off water to show water was going through the pipe not test song for leaks! My house normally don't use this tub but when we did because we ha move no kitchen it was discovered the the tub is leaking ! They fail to help nor respond when I said they connected to old piping not the stops! The regional sale manger told me not their problem nor did I get a response from his higher ups! Please stay away they do not do good work, even my insurance company and plumbers tried calling them and they did not respond! And this is a fact! So stay way away!! The person who came out to quote was local and knew a lot about the water quality in the area and local home construction. He brought samples of materials and gave me two different options to replace my galvanized pipes with PEX or copper. I chose copper - they came out with 5-6 (at least) people and got it done quickly, took care of all the permits, sent two drywall people the next day to patch and texture my walls. I was also able to negotiate a very competitive rate and thought it was good service and good value. The price is right and the initial work was done as planned, on time and in a professional manner. They did have to come back twice fix a leaky exterior hose bib but that was fine. The problem I have is I just moved my refrigerator to paint and discovered that they didnt patch the walls as promised. Unexpectedly, my 71-year-old plumbing clogged and I couldn't do laundry anymore. Over the last 16 years of living in the house, I've had almost every drain clog up, including my bathroom sink, which has only had toothpaste and hand soap go down the drain over the years, which shouldn't cause a clog of any kind. I went onto Yelp and found Repipe Specialists and called them up. They came over they what I suspected was true: I needed to replace the drains in the house. Not only did they make the process easy, but they made it quick. In one day, all of my drains were replaced and working, the very next day the inspector came out and approved of everything and the company patched up all of the holes they made in the walls to access the plumbing. I was taken in by their website, which promises that they have years of experience with repiping and special techniques to make it happen quickly and economically. Turns out, that's all a front. I had an estimator out twice. The guy was nice enough, but it was clear there was no actual plumbing expertise. Repipe Specialists it turns out is not a plumbing company. They're a "lead generation" company. They take some photos, take a cut, and essentially drum up business for small plumbing companies that don't have the scale to advertise and drum up their own work. The first time repipe came out they said the job was too complicated, apparently because the house was 2 stories. The second time they came the 1st floor had already been done. The final bid was double the other guys. And who would do the actual work? Who knows. At least they disclosed all this, though clearly not up front. read more

I really enjoyed my experience with Repipe Specialists. To give some background, my husband and I had just bought our first house and a very old one at that. We met with many project estimators from roofers, siding specialists, and general contractors. For piping we decided to start with Repiping Specialists before other plumbing company estimates. Our first encounter with the estimator was solid. His name was Scott and was a life long San Franciscan. Of all the estimators we've encountered he was the best in terms of the following: 1. He explained what he was analyzing 2. Mentioned the standard requirements 3. Explained why or why not our pipes and plumbing were within requirements. 4. Gave metaphoric applicable examples to explain how our piping is, could, and should work. 5. Made sure we understood and asked all questions before moving to the next area. 6. Organized and summarized all we talked about and made recommendations to the potential work we wanted to do. 7. Gave tips and advice based on our budget. 8. Finishing paperwork with Scott was flawless. Easy and simple. Walked us through every step. The one thing I really like is that they contract with local plumbers. They were working so hard, we decided to buy them lunch (pizza) so they could focus on their work. So we've built a strong relationship with the local plumbers on this job and will keep them on our contact list for as long as their business exists. I highly recommend Repipe Specialists. BUT THE BAIT WAS SOO GOOD... Like most Tinder experiences, ours started off well. Randy was our "senior estimator"/bait from Repipe Specialists. He seemed appropriately interested in having our business, open to answer any questions, though not too pushy (not like those desperate try-hards). Seems legit right?? The next chapter began on work day 1, when a subcontracted company by the name of Plumbing Tech Repipe Specialists (link to their excellently rated company: https://www.yelp.com/biz/plumbing-tech-repipe-specialists-san-jose-2) appeared at the house (an hour late). We had no choice or say in which company we would be having our second date with. I suppose it's by region, or availability, or maybe some algorithm we're not privy to. In any case, the work started for 13 straight hours. The water in the house was shut off between the hours of 9:30am and 10:30pm, a tad later than the "9-6pm" timeframe we had previously been told to expect. Oh well. We asked numerous times for updates to when the crew might be finished for the day, "one more hour... another half hour... two more hours" they said. Time dragged! The day had started off okay; they had covered furniture and carpet near work areas. Around 6pm, however, all of the plastic sheets and drop cloths were pulled and stored away, and boots who had previously been in crawl spaces, carrying dust/dirt, started stomping through the house, on carpet, [scuffing] marble, on stairs, inside, outside, all over. A few hours passed and finally, they said they were done. A sweet gentleman I didn't get the name of, digging deep in his nasal cavity for ???, rushed us through the walk through in which we found two sink leaks. Luckily they fixed it that night. Score. We had verbal arrangements for another rendezvous the next day for completion of the main line. Except, no one showed up at the given time of 8:45am. We called the office around 10:30am and was told that oops the crew would not be able to come and that we needed to reschedule. Family took work off to be present for this project, unnecessarily. Day 3: Starting to see some true colors... Lots of miscommunication/misunderstanding with time expectations of work. Something that was quoted would take "a few hours" was another 12+ hour workday, no water, no completion of faucet installation despite contract agreement. Crew of two people showed up before 9:30am, "forgot some pieces", went to Home Depot, manually dug a 1' deep mud trench, broke a drain pipe, and left around 10pm. We were told "there's no need to do a walk through, it's fine, no test needed". Whatev. Day 4: Yikes. It wasn't fine. Two more leaks found, including one resulting in damaged wood panel. Leaks were fixed, rashy wood panel looked okay to Plumbing Tech Repipe Specialists. I lost track of the days. We're into the second week now. Inspection Day is here and we've passed but not really. There are little fix it remarks noted on our papers as well as instructions for scheduling a fire department inspection as well. Randy/Repipe Specialists have been cc-ed in the many email exchanges. The response is: sorry, "Graciela from our shop Plumbing Tech Repipe is really very helpful and manages all out technicians- She will take good care of you I'm going on vacation for two weeks you will be in good hands with her and she knows the issues". **here's the switch, guys** Thhhaaaannnkkkksss..... Maybe it was them and not me? Maybe it wasn't meant to be? Maybe I was naive in not thoroughly reading other people's reviews and experiences and taking that leap of faith. In any case, I am in deep regret. Spending $12,000 shouldn't result in this much head banging and frustration. I have not enjoyed feeling like I needed to micro-manage or hold people accountable for DOING THEIR JOB. For being respectful of the home, for showing up at a home at an agreed upon time with appropriate tools and able to provide the service stated on the contract. Deeply disappointed, frustrated and concerned. Recommended only if you're into the ol' bait n switch ;) Pros: I did come out with some pretty photo album: - over 20 1'x2' holes in our ceilings, walls that would not pass kindergarten cutting protocol - damaged furniture - wood panel remains damaged by water (Plumbing Tech Repipe Specialists deny any issue with the wood) - wood shavings left in carpet from work - melted metal scraps from soldering (all over doors, walls, carpet, furniture) - shower wall tiles sawed into and glued back in true Kintsugi fashion Stay away unless you're into nightmares. read more

All the things in the photos were taken when they said the job was finished and they were leaving. I guess they had too many beers at lunch. What bothers me the most is that if this is how they leave the job on the things you can readily see,I am very concerned about what I can't see..some things I didn't see till next day like some adhesive material on the bathroom floor and the beer can left next to their truck in my apple tree. That probably is the reason they reinstalled my bathroom cabinet door upside down and broken hooks. I also needed to call them back because my dishwasher didn't fill with water..evidently they forgot to turn the lever back on. If it was just one or two items overlooked I could have gone with it, but this was a lot. My error, but when I had to fill out survey after work done I gave him a better review then they deserved because it is intimidating for someone to stand right there, looking over your shoulder and hand you this rating sheet to fill out before he leaves. Our upstairs shower started having difficulties - it just would not divert the water from the faucet to the shower head. Four different plumbers came out and changed a diverter, water cartridge and a spout, a total of 2 K in repairs and I still could not get a shower. I tried having a bath instead, but the water flow was so low that the bath water was getting cold before the tub could be filled. I called Repipe Specialists as one of the 4 plumbers mentioned that the problem might be low pressure. They identified that the water pressure coming into our house is actually high meaning that the pipes were occluded. We had 100 years old galvanized pipes. The provided a very reasonable estimate for changing the pipes with either copper or IPEX material. They applied for the city permit and scheduled the job on the date I requested. They have a wonderful office coordinator who took care of all scheduling. The whole project of putting in new pipes was done in one day - almost unbelievable. They had a large crew, I did not count but looked like 10-12 people were on the site working. Apparently they were subcontracted by the Repipe specialists. I wished there was a walk-through and more clear communication between the sales team and team who did the job we mighty have been able to save a few holes in the walls. There were a lot of holes in the ceilings walls and under sinks but luckily we did not have to go through the bathroom tile or stucco. The next day the inspection was done and on day 3 a crew of 2 people came and closed all the holes in the house, except for the hole that they cut in the back side of our kitchen cabinet, which was the only permanent causality of this project. Valdomar led a team of 6 men that I was very impressed with. There was someone working in nearly every room, and under the house, simultaneously. They worked hard and fast, and seemed to have fun, and enjoy their work. You could tell they knew what they were doing. They were done, cleaned up, and gone before 2pm, and we had water once again in less than a day. Could not have asked for a better crew. They were awesome. Then, a two man crew came a couple days later and patched the walls. Covered everything, worked clean, and were done, cleaned up, and gone in about 2 hours. The process started with a free estimate with Scott. He was very knowledgeable, answered all questions and left us with a quote and some materials to review about the job choices. Our old pipes could either be replaced with copper or pex. We choose pex which it turns out in California is a combination of pex and copper. Turns out code only allows pex within the walls and copper for all exterior areas (Think romex and conduit). We compared the quotes to two other companies and Repipe Specialist were the cheapest and the only one who offered a pex option. Once we signed the contract we were handed off to Javier at Gallegos Plumbing to do the actual work. Repipe was clear that this would happen and disclosed this fact in the initial meeting. Javier and his team were great. Doing the piping in one day. Meeting with the inspector twice and then coming back and patching the walls in one day once the inspectors were done. As was explained initially they close up, patch and texture the walls to match but don't do any painting. (This seemed standard with all the estimates I got, I think they dont want to be responable for paint matches). My pro tip is to save a chunk of the ripped out section to take with you to your local paint store so you can match the color if you dont have the old paint on hand. We worked with Repipe Specialists back in August 2023. I'm happy to report that 8 months later the pipes have had no issues, as far as we know, and water pressure is going as strong as ever. Here is how the overall experience went: We contacted several plumbers in the are based off of Nextdoor recommendations, and Repipe Specialists had the best rate, as well as the best salesman to work with. Mark was thorough and honest. I never felt rushed, and Mark answered every question I had with patience and knowledge. The repipe itself was done by a plumbing company from the Southbay, which I was initially surprised at. However, the owner of that plumbing company brought so many guys out (almost 10), and finished the job in less than 1 day. This plumbing company's owner was also on site, and said they have such a great working relationship with Mark and Repipe Specialists, that they really don't have to book other jobs. The plumbers were very clean, they put down plastic mats and sheeting all over the house. The patch guys came next. And these guys were STELLAR. So respectful, clean, detailed and efficient. I wouldn't hesitate to call them for other handyman jobs in the future. As for the overall package that Repipe Specialists provided, I highly recommend, both in pricing and in quality of work. Do not use this company. They subcontract the job to whatever small local company looking for work and they will not do work to code or fix mistakes after inspection by the city. In this case, we got "Quality Plumbing." The name must be ironic. We've been waiting for over a month for them to come back and fix things deemed "wrong" by the city. This has been a nightmare. We keep getting promised that the crew will come out and fix it and they never show. Countless days of work we have had to take off waiting for them with no response. On top of all this drama, they tried to sell us on the fact that our pipes under the house are broken and there is water flooding the entire area and it needs to be fixed right away. They quoted 3k. Luckily we didn't do it and when the city inspected under the house they found no traces of water. This subcontracted company tried to scam us with doctored photos. This is unacceptable. All we want is for them to fix the errors. Please. We just want to move on from this horrible experience and avoid paying any more money. If not, we'll see you in court. read more

Even when we hit some snags with the plumbing company that Repipe subcontracts with, Andy was attentive and advocated for quick resolution. In retrospect we should have asked more questions up front about the plumbing company that Repipe subcontracts with so that we had a lot more information up front in terms of history of complaints, quality issues, etc. However we were a bit fatigued by all the vetting we had been doing prior to choosing Repipe; so we just went with their subcontractor. This is a review for Aaron Davis as the estimate writer and Anthony and his team who actually did the work. I'm located out in East San Jose. I decided to go with them after getting 3 estimates. The local companies that I got estimates from, they do not use PEX, they are strictly copper only. Aaron was punctual and thorough. He walked with me through the property and listened to the concerns that I had and offered suggestions. He actually pointed out some things that I had missed. He looked under sinks and behind toilets, turned on hose bibs to see the flow. and even measured the water pressure. Like I said, thorough. We set a date and I was contacted with a time frame that the team would show up. They were on time and courteous. Anthony, the co-owner of the company that sub-contracts with Re-pipe Specialist, assures me that they are very experienced and will do a good job. They laid out plastic and cloth, covering the areas they would be working on. As expected, the job was done within a day, and we could use the water once again. When it was all done, the team lead walked me throughout the areas that had been worked on and showed me what was done. The difference in water pressure was INCREDIBLE!! I had purchased a high flow shower head because of the low water pressure. Now I'm drowning because there's so much water!! Hot water is almost instantaneous, like within TEN SECONDS!!! The Sheetrock repair guys were really nice as well. Once again they covered all the area they walked through. They were fast and efficient. The patching look great! Overall, my experience was great! There were a few minor problems afterwards, but it's really easy to call and schedule an appointment to have someone come out. If you want a company that FAILS the plumbing inspection three times, and this in regards to the GAS CONNECTION to the hot water heater among other issues, then this is your outfit.* The salesman said the re-piping work would take two days, one day of tearing out and re-piping, and then after the inspection, one day of re-patching the drywall (of course, not two consecutive days). Because of the FAILED INSPECTIONS (city of Fremont) and then of subsequent "we can't make it this week" (and not returning calls) being pushed aside, our project lasted from FEBRUARY 8TH TO APRIL 24TH, about 8 WEEKS. What did they say, "If it sounds too good to be true..." (*When the plumber came the final time to correct the gas pipe connection after the previous guy installed it wrong (the sediment trap), I showed him exactly what the inspector told me what was wrong, where to correctly install it and showed him what the inspector wrote, and he still installed it in the wrong spot.) read more

On April 26th, we had our 1960's home in Concord repiped by Repipe Specialist. Randy was great in explaining everything, even provided tips for a smooth construction day. They came out did the repipe in one day, they did their best to contain the dust and dirt. They even installed a shut off valve in my laundry room sink (didn't originally have shut off) so that when I change my old faucet I don't need to shut off water to whole house. The patchers came on another day, 2 weeks later, to patch up all the holes even patched my ceiling from an old ceiling leak. Both inspections PASSED, inspector even commented that 60% of his inspections fail and he is impressed with Repipe Specialist. The only problem I encountered was with scheduling the inspector, the plumbers (office) never called me back with the date of the inspection, thus, I was still in my PJs when he showed up, good thing I was home. So, for the 2nd inspection, I hounded the office staff to let me know when the guy was coming out. A long-overdue review and a long story...We found out there was a leak under our floor and the original plan was to identify the leaking point and seal it. However, American Leak Detection failed the job twice and we ended up with two holes in our slab with no clues on where is leaking. Then Repipe Specialists were here for the rescue! They were easy to schedule and they repiped the whole house with minimal interruption to us within one day! They are even cheaper than the quote from our handyman. We hired repipe specialists to repipe our entire house in April 2020. They were very prompt right from getting back to us with a quote, to help financing. Their men were very well informed about the layout of the water pipes in the house and very carefully cut out the dry wall to access the pipes. The men worked tirelessly for 8 hours to get the job done in a single day. They also returned to re- do the dry wall once the inspection was passed. First of all, the sales rep, Scott, was great! He was very personable, straightforward and honest about the work that needed to be done, and the price was VERY reasonable! Although the re-piping was scheduled to be completed in one day, it took an extra day to complete when the workers discovered major corrosion in one of the toilet drains. However, I was notified of this immediately and the workers returned to complete the repair timely and as scheduled. I also replaced the existing toilets with new ones which the workers installed at no extra charge! They were efficient, respectful, courteous and neat! Good customer service from start to finish. I had a very positive experience working with Repipe Specialists. The initial appointment with the Sales Rep, Andy, was scheduled within a day of my initial contact. Andy was very thorough in going over the process, reviewing my options, and providing a quote for the work. He even called back to offer additional suggestions on how to do the job in my 85yo house to minimize wall patching and save me $$. The actual job was scheduled within 5 days, which seems unreal, these days. The crew of 10 guys showed up on time and completed the work by early afternoon. The foreman, Teo, was readily available and did an excellent job communicating any changes and also making recommendations for replacements of faucets that had deteriorated after years of water going through old galvanized pipes that still had low water pressure despite the new piping. The crew was cordial and everything was done professionally, swiftly, and neatly. Yes, the crew is from a company that subcontracts with Repiping Specialists. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! This company deliberately omits certain information until the job has started. Once the job is under way they conveniently tell you what else needs to be done that is NOT on the contract. We called you specifically for the "what else"! We called specifically for the plumbing to be fixed bc there was a leak coming from the plumbing pipes. SCOTT BASIL, who seems like a functioning alcoholic, was infatuated with the hot and cold water lines as the problem but said "ALL the pipes would be replaced". NOW he is talking about the plumbing is a "separate system" and the contract is only for the water lines. WTF! WE HIRED YOU FOR THE PLUMBING JOB. Our water pipes were perfectly fine. Now half way through the job the contractors felt the need to inform us that the sewage pipes are extremely bad with leaks and there is water all under the house which will start to attract animals. Umm that's why you are here, to replace those same exact pipes. He says it's not on the contract and to give the person who gave us the estimate a call, which would be Scott. Scott, sounding under the influence wants to offer to give us a separate estimate for the "plumbing". HELL NO! The initial estimate was for the plumbing. Never apologizing for the miscommunication and not clarifying to people who don't speak their piping language, he became defensive and dismissive. He told me he "didn't have time to deal with this situation right now and needed to go". What kind of professional says that when you are expecting a $8,000 check. I am flabbergasted at the way Scott is handling us in this situation. I see from other reviews that this is a common practice and the Better Business Bureau will definitely be contracted next. read more

We had 4 local companies come to our house and provide estimates. It was something we felt necessary since this was a big project. The last one I called was Repipe Specialist and I'm glad I did. The first 3 were good and only one was not an option since they only had a 2-man crew and we would be without water for several days or longer. Randy, salesperson from Repipe covered everything the others did but also asked me questions that I didn't even consider but were very important. It was then we made our choice to go with Repipe. Their communication throughout the process and scheduling the Inspections were exactly as promised. Christopher and his team replaced all of the old pipes in one day. We had running water by 4pm same day. We passed inspection the next day. Oscar came out to patch all of the holes and the next day we passed our Final Inspection. Everything was completed in one week. Our expectations were met and then some. Customer Service was first class and greatly appreciated. Hard to find these days - thank you. read more

Yup...just called them for an active leak on their work. Was told that their warranty department will be sending me an email...comforting. They don't have teams for emergency work on what the plumber who just left here says is faulty work. Asked for a phone number and was told that their was no number and she would mark my email 'urgent.' Don't bother with these people...just in time for the holidays. read more

So, I'm actually a tenant, and my landlord found these guys and did the booking. They have a couple specials so he was after the savings. They send a sales guy to your house. Mine was Randy. Randy was a jovial fellow who asked inappropriate questions like, "Wow, that's a crazy treadmill you got there, how much did it cost ya!" Randy came with a boss, who's name I can't remember. Randy busts out with clear leaf booklet of materials, with testimonials from clients (years old), and a chipper sales spiel. Randy made a big point to explain their business is different - each office has an "owner" onsite to manage the crew who is invested in the business, is a licensed plumber, speaks English, etc., not typical subcontractors who don't care about the main business. Randy promised several things: - they had to meet code, therefore, straps would be placed on the water heater, a drain would be installed from the water heater to the outside of the house, and insulation would be placed on all the relevant pipes (hot water, etc.) depending on if they were in the attic our outside in the garage. - he showed us the copper pipe options - MLK.They use L on all their jobs, he says. He writes that down on the contract. - they would do the work within one day - the next day, the city inspector would come out to review, and they'd help arrange that and would let us know when it's scheduled, and he asked me my time preference for the appt. - the day after the inspection, they'd come patch and paint my walls - they were going to supply a new faucet/fixtures for the shower/bath since the old place had a 3-valve, and we were going to 1 valve. Now, good ol' Randy leaves. That night, Randy calls and leaves a voicemail - they're coming Thursday to work like we'd asked. I call back and get his voicemail, and that's that last I heard of Randy. Thurs AM, the crew lead comes. He's driving a Repiping-branded van. His crew speaks English, they're nice and pleasant. They do the work. Toward the end of the day, I start asking questions: - There's no straps on the hot water heater - The faucet in the bathroom is not the one shown and charged for in the sales pitch and on the contract - When is the inspection scheduled for? His answers: - We are out of stock and have to reorder but we'll get it done before the inspector comes - We ran out of stock but if you really want it I can go back to the office and get the other one when it's in stock and come back and change it - The contract says the OWNER (my landlord) is supposed to schedule the inspection, so I don't know. Note, they charged FEES for the inspection and said they were going to take care of it, and ASKED me about the appointment time. The lead showed me the contract and for whatever reason - both "contractor" and "owner" were circled next to "inspection." And how do you insist you need things for inspection then not install them? Also - there's no way to tell if your pipes are actually L copper, because there are no labels/stamps on the pipe. Go figure. For all you know you've got M pipe and paid for L. After that rigamarole, we have to start calling and harassing the main office - a guy comes back to put the insulation on, a guy comes back to put the straps on, turns out the patchers don't paint the same day so, NO they can't paint and close your walls the day after the work, they need TWO days to do that (patch and dry, then paint). The painters say they just paint, NO they don't texture, so if your walls are textured you've got to argue with the dude (or call the main office) to get them to do that because it isn't just "painting." Also note, I used my own damned paint for them that I happened to have left over, it's not like I got a discount there. And the guys do put the little plastic and cloth down but the paint crew is different from the plumbing crew (a total lie from Randy, he said they were all in the same crew) and the plumbing crew doesn't give a rat's ass if they get dust all over your stuff so they're sloppy with it, and they do wear boots all up in your linoleum, scuffing it and bringing in germs. It all finally got done, but it took 4 days at least to get everything actually done. And I still have to get a friend to help me reattach stuff to my walls. You get what you pay for. read more
