Repose Coffee is a glistening diamond in the rough. I get my nails done nearby. Prior to Repose Coffee opening, the tenant was a Boba store. I was bummed when they closed until TODAY. Bye-Bye Boba! At Repose, I ordered the Biscoff foam latte for myself with the everything croissant, which was filled with cream cheese, both of which were absolutely delectable. I ordered my daughter the cold foam matcha and almond croissant, also delicious! And I ordered her friend the strawberry shortcake and a pastry that starts with a K, both of which were spectacular. Both of them said, "Can we get this delivered to our house?" We live in Irvine but I promised to return when we come for my next nail appointment. No one would expect a place like Repose to exist in Placentia; more so NYC or Europe! Repose is the most perfect way to start the day. the strawberry lemonade was super good but there is WAY too much ice compared to drink- my sister also asked for light ice on the matcha latte but they only filled it 3/4 of the way which is absurd for a $7 drink thats already in a small cup. our drinks hardly made it out the parking lot and the matcha was a lil grainy. i rly like the atmosphere of the cafe but for the $6+ drinks that last a few sips- you can make it at home. never made a review before until now. my sister is quite disappointed:( read more

First of all, why is it so dang warm inside? I did go on a rainy day, but that doesn't mean there shouldn't be any air circulation inside. Anything 75+ is not a comfortable setting especially when it's a full house and coffee is being made. Americano was okay. Cappuccino was okay, although I felt like I barely got any drink in my cup. I saw the stereoscope coffee bags, so I assume this place uses their bean? Was excited about that, but it falls a little flat compared to getting an actual drink from Stereoscope. repose coffee {placentia} so we came in 30 minutes before they close and they were super nice and let us change the order I asked for the strawberry cheesecake but I noticed it didn't have the word latte in it so I asked if I can change it into a Matcha and they did but beware it did cost around 9.50 and I'd say that's pretty expensive. and jared got the Biscoff latte, but honestly, it was pretty good so I couldn't complain if it was bad I probably would be mad and not come back, but it was really delicious. The Matcha taste was really strong on its own and the strawberry as well was really good and when I mixed it, it was a really good combination of both maybe less Matcha taste but the sweetness was perfect and they don't add too much sweet foam onto it which I like because sometimes having too much foam can ruin the latte. The best latte, though was really bitter and sour. It seemed like the espresso was probably burnt or it died so it wasn't that good and the Biscoff taste was not there at all so it was just a really burnt latte with no taste sadly I don't think I'm ever in this area so might not yet again, but it was a good try. read more

Repose Coffee = New Favorite Spot! Just needed a quick coffee and sugar fix after visiting a friend's newly opened dog boarding shop nearby, and wow -- Repose Coffee seriously over-delivered. The pastry was so fresh (you could actually taste the difference), but OMG -- the matcha latte. Not the usual sweet or bitter mess -- it was super smooth, rich, and honestly felt like a whole new matcha experience. I actually stopped mid-sip and was like, "Wait...what?!" . And the Americano? One sip and I straight-up said out loud, "Dang, this is good!" No bitter aftertaste, just solid, smooth coffee vibes. Folks in Placentia are lucky to have this new gem in the area. Seriously. I entered Repose Coffee with 3 expectations: good coffee, good seating, and good service. What I was met with is superb coffee, pleasant seating, and wonderful service. I personally had the Ganashe Mocha, which actually tasted like a Chocolate Ganashe pastry. Their homemade-cold foam brings a refreshing lightness to the drink. Their beans are from Stereoscope so I already know their standard coffee is solid. Parallel to the coffee bar is a line of tables to sit in, very clean and the vibrant colors provide an optimal study space. The baristas are great, kind and warm, and very sociable if you want them to be. Love Andrew. Real coffee & lattes drinkers know this place serves first class coffee. First they don't use the cheap artificial syrups like Torani and Monin. They have a house made syrups or and organic vanilla syrup. They use stereoscope coffee beans which is arguably the best in the biz. They also have house made cold foam. Had their iced vanilla latte and it was amazing and on par with other elite coffee shops. They do not cheap out on their ingredients. I've tried their sweetened & unsweetened matcha lattes and strawberry matcha with almond milk and loved them all each time. Very rich in flavor and color. I've been here two days in a row to try both their signature drinks, the ganache mocha latte and the strawberry shortcake latte. They were both good. The ganache latte is a rich chocolate latte that's pretty thick and sweet. The strawberry shortcake is pretty good also. They use something that looks like strawberry compote in the bottom and it has a really nice strawberry flavor. They do use quite a bit of ice so I feel like you don't get very much drink. I came in wanting to try a new cafe and ordered a strawberry matcha, but was given and charged for a regular matcha latte. Upon ordering and giving my name to the barista, I noticed a judgmental face but ignored it. Once I realized the barista got it wrong I went back to ask if they can remake it and the barista then tells me "we can just add strawberries to the drink".
