Really enjoy going here to get my bearded dragons protein. We also bought our dragon from their Placentia location. Abe and Jenelle are very helpful and listen to my 10 million questions. They don't seem annoyed or impatient. There really have made this new reptile experience a positive one. And their shop is really nice. Cages clean. We have even boarded our dragon there for over a week and we're awesome with our lil man. There's just one guy that works there that never smiles and is very grumpy. I've been going to the same place(unnamed) for feeders for all my animals for years. I moved and didn't like the 30min drive to get to them. I started looking around and found Reptile Island, first impression was it's a clean, welcoming environment and one of the guys behind the desk was explaining to someone the importance of uvb rays for their reptile. I got crickets a rat and horned worms for a very reasonable price, actually much cheeper than my original place. We talked and I found out they have a big variety of feeders even Phoenix worms(huge amounts of calcium). They seemed to have a big variety of animals but due to COVID you can only see a small amount of them. Overall as long as they stay open I will never need to go anywhere else, my new favorite spot thanks guys! read more

They have ALOT of reptiles and stuff for them. We have been here twice & the second time we came one of the baby aquatic turtles was dead just floating around the others, I guess that happens when you have a lot of animals & don't keep track of each enclosure to make sure each animal is getting the care they deserve, they really need to work on cleanliness I get that it's a pet store but that doesn't mean the store needs to be filthy and they should clean the class on most tanks so you can see what's actually inside, This is not my usual stop for feeders but I was in the area and needed insect feeders. Just a little more attention to detail at your store would be great for you guys. read more

Called to make sure they had feeders for my snakes as a lot of places out here don't... they said yes they do ,let me know the pricing. Came into the store to get them ,and saw a blue tongue skink poking out through the leafs and asked while paying if I'm allowed to hold it as I've been looking to get one but I'd like to see how I feel after holding it to see if I mind and if I'm ok with it. Shannon said yeah sure ...bought my feeders and went over with her she let him out and let me know how to not grab him and I held him . She let me know some basics and the types of things they can eat what they've specifically fed him his humidity that he likes. Showed me a picture of the one she owns. Told me how to deal with their nails (the points) or if I bring them no in they can do it. She was very friendly answered any of my questions and also gave me their vet they use as I just moved here. Came back next day with husband so he could see ended up buying the blue tongue and b they are able to hold for a week if you pay in full if you need to get their stuff together . read more

Smelled horrible once going through the door. Dirty cages and enclosures.also enclosures to small for some of the reptiles and other critters they have for sale. Made me sad. All the critters looked depressed. Didn't even stay longer than 5 minutes. I will not support a place that does not appear to humanly keep their creatures. Wish I had pictures. Just by taking my first step into the store, I could tell this place was top notch. They had a great variety of reptiles available and it was nice to see they actually cared for their reptiles. They were housed with the proper lighting, heating, substrate, etc. and NONE of them looked sickly (common sight at many other reptile stores). Also, the store was clean. Robert was willing to share his plethora of knowledge in reptiles, advising us of the best food and thermometer for my daughter's baby veiled chameleon and hide box and heating options for my hatchling sulcata tortoise. My fiancé, our daughter and I drove out of our way to check out this place and it certainly did not disappoint! In fact, they returned a week later to buy an Explorarium that we've yet to see being offered at other stores. read more

I went in the other day cause my wife and I were at Disneyland and we needed a break from the crowds. I own a few different reptiles and just enjoy looking around at different reptile stores. Reptile Island is one of the cleanest reptile stores I've ever been in. They had a couple of girls who were working there that both offered to help me even though they were busy cleaning cages. The main guy there (I forgot his name, but he did introduce himself) was totally cool and easy to talk to. As far as reptiles go, they all knew their stuff. Their selection was also wide. I've got nothing bad to say about these guys, hence the 5 star rating. Would definantly go back, and when I'm looking to start my Poison Dart collection, I'll be going here to buy. read more

Do not buy from this store. My 13 year old daughter needed a lid for for her aquarium. To be sure it fit, we carefully traced out and measured the top of her aquarium and handed it to the salesperson. They sold her a lid that was a half inch too short and they didn't even match it up to the template we provided them. After getting home and finding out that it doesn't fit, we called them to let them know. They then told us they will not refund her money. They only do store credit and don't have a lid that will fit. She's 13 years old. How mean is that? read more

Where do I start? I had just visited a different reptile store around Reptile Island and all i can say about that place was i left depressed and almost did not want to visit Reptile Island. Once i entered Reptile Island i was blown away by the number of supplies they offer and the selection of reptiles they have!!! By far the best reptile store I have ever been too. Staff here is great they have awesome customer experience. Pro's - great Animal selections - great customer service - they don't push you to buy and let you walk around and take everything In . - EVERYTHING IS KEPT CLEAN - if they don't know something they ask someone who knows ! -great animal flow everything is kept together you don't have to guess where product or animals are located. Con -Far from where i live. I have no complaints about this place. If someone complaints about the prices please remember you pay for what you get. These guys keep their animals in top conditions and i would not hesitate to buy my future pet from them knowing that their pets are keep clean and healthy. Iwill be stopping by every time i am in the area. I was here for an hour or so and i was not pressured to buy anything and staffed was very helpful. They're always ready to offer you a great deal or discounts and are happy to help you find the right type of reptile for you! I went in and looked at a few of their snakes and they were happy to let me hold each one while they were showing me the types of equipment I would need to make a snake happy. 5 stars from me! My boyfriend wanted to surprise me with a lizard and we drove to different reptile shops and ended up coming here. Then he told me to pick one out! Omg there are so many reptiles to choose from. From iguanas to snakes to tortoises you will not be disappointed!! The staff is very helpful, we asked one worker which reptiles are the nicest and will not be mean or bite. (I really wanted a nice lizard to sit on my shoulder) and he told us the crested gecko or the bearded dragon make awesome pets. So we walk over to the bearded dragon area and holy moly there's like 50 of em, some grey some orange. Being an indecisive person, you could imagine how long I was sitting there looking at them. BUT one beardie came up to me and my boyfriend and started pawing at the glass (so cute) and his eyes followed us wherever we went. So we asked to get that one, we named him Noodles later(: they put him in a box and helped us pick out some lighting and other supplies we needed. And gave us free crickets! Awesome awesome place I would recommend to anyone looking for a reptile or supplies in general. I will say some lights and stuff can get pricey and you can find cheaper ones on amazon!!! Absolutely terrible business. I walked in and ordered a special made tank with a guy with a beard. He quoted me and took my info and said they'd call me in a week to see if it's done. Week goes by, I call, they don't know who I am. So I go through the process of making an order AGAIN, week later they call and it's broken and they have to send it back for fixing...WTF?!?!?! FINALLY get a call a month into the original order and they charge me $100 more than they quoted me for a REPAIRED tank....Not a new one....lol go fuck yourselves. Love this store! They form great customer relationships. Robert took great care our daughter's gecko, Sydie Pie, who had a sore on her head. We go there every week to get mice for our snakes. This is a really nice reptile store. It's kept clean, it's pretty big and there's a good selection of various reptiles. In fact, they've actually a whole wall empty so they could near double the amount of reptiles. Not sure why one side is empty but it is. As you can see in the pics there's also a huge pen for land turtles which I would totally buy if I had a huge backyard. "Where are you going she asked?" I pointed. She asked me what it was and I said I didn't know, but I was going to find out! Of course I ate my lunch at work...so the time for adventure had come! Imagine my surprise! Turtles, spiders, snakes, and more beautiful reptilian, amphibious, and arachnid friends! Everyone went to lunch for lunch, how boring, so I went to Reptile Island to feed turles and look at tarantulas. Great place to come too. Even if not purchasing any friends that day. Gonna be honest. I felt uneasy immediately walking in here. Not because I'm afraid of reptiles but because it was dirty and most of the reptiles seemed stressed. There was a cage of baby beardies that looked like they were dying. ...Lethargic, broken tails. They have a large variety of supplies but again everything was dirty and unkept. Don't buy frogs from reptile island. Purchased green tree frog and died within 1 week. Purchased 2nd green tree frog and died within 2 weeks. Waited awhile and purchased a red eyed tree frog. Made it about 2 months. With each frog took perfect care of them. Bought tank , mister , heating pad all through there. Called today wanting some sort of refund and was told no. No warranty. Disappointed such bad customer service. Also bought a leopard gecko from them and his set up 2yrs ago. Thank god he's ok. Update. You spoke to my 11 yr old son. Walk into the store and the employees seem clueless. I went in for a red eared turtle. They sell with proof of a good environment which is reasonable but not how they describe it. I'm pretty new to this whole turtle thing and i payed over 150$ for the whole thing not including a tank or food. I check online and everything is almost 60% cheaper than this store. They rip you off and take advantage of customers who don't know much. They don't price the items and price them on the spot. They are horrible. read more

I liked this place. The people there are friendly and can answer you almost any question you may have regarding the reptiles there (in my case, the turtles). My favorite part was watching the turtles at the natural looking setup they have. I noticed that the African Sideneck Turtles were the friendliest. I got a healthy panther chameleon that I had to search MANY stores to find one that knew how to treat them right and keep them healthy. They were happy to take the time to answer any questions I had and made sure I was prepared to take him home. This place has a huge selection of reptile and amphibian feed, tanks/cages, and a vast selection of animals to purchase. One of the only places around that sells "Mazuri tortoise food". And it's cheap too. Got a huge bag for 20 bucks, when online a small bag costs 25. I only knock a star off because I'm not sure if it was a bad time to be in there, but a large amount of animal cages were missing food and water. I get there are a ton of animals in there and making sure the cages are cleaned and the animals are taken care of is time consuming, so I'm gonna go ahead and give the shop the benefit of the doubt that I came in during the hours of these tasks being accomplished. I'll come back though...they have huge selections of everything reptile and amphibian lovers need for their pets. read more

I drive from Corona every weekend to come get my bearded dragons food here. I will be a forever be a faithful customer to this store. This place is a joke, the store is dirty, all the poor reptiles are living in filthy conditions and look miserable/sick, it smells so horrible for being a decent sized store. No customer service at all, there was at least 4 people working all standing around talking to each other and every time the phone would ring someone would hesitate to answer, like how dare they break up the conversation. Do yourself a favor and drive a little further to Reptile Rescue Orange County where they actually give a shit about the animals and are happy to assist and answer any questions you have. read more
