I've been going to Republic since it first opened when a friend who did my hair started working there. When she moved away, I was referred to Alex. She's been doing my hair for about 2 years I think, and I couldn't be happier! She has always helped me decide which cut/colors would work best for me and does an amazing job every time. She's realistic and tells me when something wont work with my hair and why, so ladieShe's awesome with color and just as great with her cutting/styling skills, plus she's funny and easy to talk to! I'm always excited for my hair appointments here. I would recommend Alex to any of my friends, she's the best! Also, Tineal is a stud when it comes to waxing. My eyebrows are perfect now; I just got a Brazillian wax for the first time with her, really painful but she made me feel comfortable being there and talked the whole time to keep me distracted. The salon is always clean, they usually have treats/snacks out plus coffee, tea, other drinks- awesome- and all the other girls working there are friendly. So worth the $$$ every time. Had the worse experience getting my hair done here with Shelb.... she has ruined my hair so badly totally trashed it out, I had long beautiful blonde hair before I got into the salon. I asked her and showed her a picture of a blonde hair she said she will do what she can. I told her over and over I do not want my hair to be over process so please do only what you can do light up the hair. Next thing I know my hair was so over processed it's falling, breaking by just touching my hair,, then I told her I am trying to grow out my hair please don't cut my hair just trim the ends only. After trimming my hair, she literally took off over 3 inches of my hair, next thing I see my hair is so short now and so damaged... I called the salon next day spoke with the manager. She did not even cared what has happened.. horrible customer service I spent over $250 and I got damaged short hair. Don't ever go to this salon if you want to have long beautiful healthy here this is not the place... not worth it.. read more

This is my favorite place to come for a day of pampering. The ladies at this office are so friendly and inviting. The inside is beautiful and clean. I was lucky to find this place! Came in as a walk in after the place I usually go to was too understaffed to take me. The inside is beautiful and comfortable, and I was immediately offered a drink. After a very short wait a stylist named Whitney took me back and asked what I wanted to do with my hair. I should add that before today it had been 9 months since my last haircut, so she really had her work cut out for her. Even though I forgot to bring a picture she did exactly what I asked and it turned out better than i was hoping for. My hair is thick to the point that it sometimes overwhelms me, but Whitney did a great job taming it without shaving or thinning it like other salons have tried. I left with a very cute cut and a stylist I would love to go back to. No more 9 month stints without a haircut! read more

I went to this salon because I wanted something new and they seemed like they did great hair . I told the girl what I wanted and trusted her with my hair and I ended up getting the complete opposite color and the hair cut was just awful. I wanted a blonde color and ended up being orange ?? She told me it wasn't going to be like the pictures because how dark my hair was and I understood but she did say it would be more blond than pink becuase it was a rose gold blonde I guess. How does blonde turn into orange . Then I told her I understand if you have to do layers because my hair is so thick , but to do long layers to make it look Like I have no layers at all . I'm very picky about the layer subject. When she was done my hair looked like it had two different hair cuts! I told her I was iffy about the color because it's not what I wanted , but then she started to get nervous so I wanted to be nice and say I'll try it out for a few days . A few days gone by , I took a shower and then straightened my hair , that's when everything went bad because she curled my hair at the salon so I wouldn't see the hair cut . I texted the number she gave me and I politely told her I wanted to make another appointment to change the color and make my hair shorter , she first was going to change my hair color but charge me another 185 to make my hair the way I wanted in the first place . She then refused and threatened that she wouldn't want to touch my hair unless I wanted it to get worst . She also told me she's never cut thick hair before!!! Wouldn't that be the first thing you say to a customer with thick hair ! I paid $185 for a messed up haircut and color. then got turned Away when I wanted to fix it . I had to go to hair gone wild so they would be able to fix my hair and and now I love my hair thanks to hair-gone wild. I highly don't recommend-this place , the girl Shelbi does not care about customer service at all. I wouldn't be able to speak on behalf of the other stylists that work there . The salon was very clean and hip. I had my hair cut by Jenna. She was super friendly. My hair cut was good but she didn't razor or shear my hair like i asked, so i still had a lot of unwanted volume. Also my hair was blunt at the ends, but i wasn't able to tell until i styled my hair, like i normally do at home. read more

I had Christie and Alex do my make-up and hair for my wedding and it was a great experience! I loved the look they created and especially how easy they were to work with. When I had my hair/make-up trial, I wasn't 100% sold on they way it turned out. Every bride's fear, right? But, Christie and Alex were so easy to talk to that I felt comfortable giving feedback, and sure enough, on my wedding day it turned out perfectly! I could tell that they really listened to my concerns and went out of their way to make sure that I was completely satisfied. On my wedding day, we had record setting heat and my hair/make-up lasted through the pictures (hottest part of the day), outdoor ceremony, and reception with lots of dancing. My make-up didn't come off until I took it off over 12 hours later. I'm pretty sure my hair would've lasted over night, but I did take it out before falling asleep. Christie and Alex showed up on time, were calm and easy going (exactly what you need on your wedding day), and did a beautiful job. I would recommend them to other brides, or anyone who needs hair or make-up for special occasions. read more

The true standout for me was my stylist Jenn. She is PHENOMENAL!! I have been going to salons for many years and I am telling you, I have never had a stylist make me feel and look the way she did.
