Usually come to this shop twice weekly for over one year. I order the same thing each time. The assumed manager has helped me multiple times. This morning I go in, the cashier rang me up for a hot version of my usual. Manager gave me the hot drink and I told him I always get iced. He was adamant that I ordered hot. Made me pay for an iced drink. So now I'm leaving, with two drinks. Manager says "make sure to ask for iced next time" I'm wondering how someone with no customer service skills has an operating business...probably why I was the only customer in there. Located conveniently right before your morning commute, right off of Interstate 5 this place is a go-to morning caffeine fix. I was fortunate enough to be invited to an event here awhile back and got to taste their delicious offerings but never got around to writing a review for them so this one is long over due. My latest visit here I tried their "Honey Bear" drink, I wanted something on the not-so-sweet side and this was the drink recommended by one of the employees there. Any guesses on how it tastes? If you said that it tastes like one of those Golden Graham cookies shaped like a bear you'd be right! It was a nice mixture of honey and cinnamon. Back at the event I was invited to I remember having their "Monkey Mocha" and that was delicious too, I was definitely able to taste the banana in the drink. Along with their great drinks they also have pretty good food if you're looking for a quick snack. Breakfast burritos that I tried during the event were good, try the chorizo one! Cute spot! This was my first time at Rescate the other day. The coffee was delicious and the service was quick. The staff was very polite. I spent a few hours working and happily there were plenty of outlets for charging. There was even a small desk with a chair which was a really nice touch. I wish the seating was more comfortable throughout, but it wasn't a major factor. Best coffee spot in town! The Mayan Mocha is AMAZING!!! I get this almost every time I go. It's a favorite. I've tried their other drinks and they are great too, but I just happen to love the Mayan the most. The only thing I can say is their pastries/food items are not the best. I think if they added something different than what all the other coffee shops have that would set them even higher, like breakfast burritos, I mean if you have Mayan coffee and breakfast burrito with some salsa/chili would be a nice touch, at least during the fall/winter seasons. Where do all the locals go? This place looks like a Starbucks layout but hope! not Starbucks, but Rescate Coffee. Easy access on and off the freeway you can stop here for a cup of coffee or tea or a snack to while the time away or to meet up and chat with friends. That's what I did and what a pleasant place to be simply sipping and kicking back. The patrons were friendly and considerate. The workers were just as pleasant. This is my second visit. I found this place through yelp. I read the review so i had to stop by and check it out. My first visit i just got the white mocha and it was absolutely delicious!!! The best white mocha I've tried and i have tried white mocha at a lot of places and no place can not compare. My second visit i got the honey bear. It's really delicious. I love the cinnamon taste. This place is just ok...decided to check this place out after seeing a lot of high reviews. Inside is is nicely decorated...kinda spacious, I mean I don't believe you'll have a hard time finding a seat. There's both indoors and outdoor seating. Plenty of parking (they share a complex with a couple other restaurants/stores. The coffee was good...but not great. The issue I had was the food...I saw some good food pics, but when I got there...I saw microwaved food. I ordered a blueberry scone...and that was dinky. I could have probably finish it in one bite! Came here today to study and wanted to support a local coffee shop since I heard lots of great reviews about this place. This was my first time being there, but what ended up happening was absolutely ridiculous. I got blamed/yelled at by an older Hispanic worker (who seemed like the manager) for my bagel sandwich being accidentally taken by another customer. When I was ordering, the barista told me it would be a little longer wait for my sand-which, which I didn't mind. I got a iced Caramel macchiato, which tasted more like milk then coffee. I also ordered a ham, egg, bacon, and avocado bagel sandwich which sadly did lack flavor. As I was waiting one of the worker calls out two bagel sandwiches and two different groups of customer grabs the two bagels and leaves soon after. I noticed that those customers were after me when I ordered so I went to check in with the workers to see if there was an update on the sandwich. When I went up I learned that another lady had her sandwich also accident taken by the other customers. As I asked the older gentlemen if there's an update about my order he told me he doesn't know himself. And shouts to the barista worker who took my order if I had a sandwich, she ended up telling me that the other worker already made my sandwich and someone must of accidentally took it. The gentleman then tell her to make it and tells me with a rude attitude "next time you should be quicker when getting your order" so that doesn't happen because it already happened twice. I was absolutely flabbergasted by this response since it was one of the most unprofessional way to talk to a customer, the barista was the most nicest during this unfortunate situation. I definitely think they need a more organized and better way on giving customers their orders so it doesn't cause any confusion. Especially since this situation was not my fault. A good assortment of varying tables and chairs, inside it feels mellow/quaint. The menu is a delight, lots of seasonal offerings and workers are there for suggestions. Cons Not many plugs from what I can see, so you do have to choose your seats somewhat wisely. On Thursday January 18, I stopped into Rescate coffee to complete some work on my laptop. I am a Christian and my church is currently fasting. Because of this, I planned to order my party to go when it was time to leave. The owner Anthony approach me in a hostile manner and began to berate and belittle me publicly in front of other customers and his staff. Despite the blatant fear and intimidation he tried to instill in me, I fought off tears and tried to explain to him that I am fasting for religious reasons which is why I had not ordered yet. This did not suffice, he continued to berate me and state that he did not care (regarding my religious fast). I explained to him that this could be perceived as religious persecutions. He became increasingly hostile after I said this. He stated that his place was a place of business and that I would leave and go home or to a library. As someone who was indeed going to be a paying customer that day, I was appalled by his brazen and prideful religious discrimination and persecution. I have never received this level of Faith based discrimination and persecution from ANY business that I have visited. Edit: following my interaction I went to Starbucks and decompressed. The staff was so kind and welcoming. They did not accost me or harass me while I waited to break my fast. Once the time came for me to eat, I went up to the front of Starbucks and ordered a pastry. I would try this place again since Rescate is down the street from my chiropractor. I had the white chocolate mocha but in my opinion it tasted very milky and was very thick as for consistency. One thing that was a big turn off was that the white chocolate powder was not dissolved so the first sip I was literally biting the sugary crystals...ugh. However!!! Access is a little tough, but they are directly connected to the gas station parking lot. The menu is upscale espresso and coffee drinks. They have a limited selection of baked goods for a quick meal or snack. Seating is abundant with several tables and a living room setup with padded chairs. I expect that they serve a lot of weary commuters, but the setup does encourage lingering. You would expect Rescate in San Francisco or Chicago, but their location in the suburbs is unexpected. Stopped by today to kill a little time and have a cup of coffee before making my way to the Sac airport. The place is nice and spacious. They have a nice reading area right before the hallway to their restrooms. Their employees are very friendly. The Vietnamese iced coffee I ordered was spot on! The chocolate chip cookie was soft and not packed with sugar. The next time I'm jonesing for some coffee and I'm on this side of Elk Grove I will be sure to drop in again! read more

I am a casual customer that lives very close to this shop. I like to support local businesses and when it comes to coffee, sometimes I have to work hard. This AM I was getting fuel next door and thought I would run into Rescate for a Mocha. I stopped outside the entrance, slipped on my buff-type face mask and stepped inside the store. A lady was completing her order and I was next in line. As I waited, the cashier stated, "Sir, you need a mask." I looked right at him and asked, huh.!
