One star only because they did come to our home fast! But of course they would knowing they would take advantage of new homeowners. Rescue plumbing? Not one bit. They charged almost $2000 for rodding. A service that ABC plumbing/ cooling etc did for $93. We had to call again due to the issue not being resolved after this company came to "fix" our problem. We called and spoke to owner on why it was so expensive and he quickly came to the rescue of his own workers KNOWING we were gouged. He refunded a small amount back but they were not very nice and will never call again. I hope no one gets taken advantage of by them. read more

Charged $499 for a simple shower cartridge replacement that took 1 hour. Shower cartridge is roughly $60 so they charged $439/hour. Pretty outrageous hourly rate. When I called initially to have them come out they would not give me a price for a shower cartridge replacement, otherwise I would've called someone else. Will not call again. With that said, they were responsive and came out within a few hours of calling. They did complete the job (although the technician had trouble returning the valve to the correct temperature operation). Nevertheless, I was disappointed that a local business would price gouge a nearby resident. read more

My bathtub faucet broke while i was giving my daughter a bath and the water wouldn't stop coming out. I called Rescue Plumbing and within 15 minutes, Dax got back to me and told me he would be on his way. A short time later he arrived and immediately diagnosed and fixed the problem by replacing the cartridge and repairing the faucet. Had a great experience with Javier when I needed a 100 year old toilet replaced. Rescue plumbing provided a free quote (which was less than ABC who charged me $59 just for the quote). We recently revamped our main bathroom, installing all new floor and shower tile, a new shower door and a new vanity. We called Rescue Plumbing to have someone come by and reconnect all our pipes and install the new shower and sink fixtures, and we had a great experience. Pete and his assistant (I believe his name was Noah) came by to take a look at everything and gave us a very informative and candid assessment and explanation of what needed to be done and why. Pete made some recommendations on what sink fixtures would be good to order and they came back after we received everything and did the install. Everything turned out great and we appreciated their responsiveness and timeliness throughout the process -- we have some other plumbing projects that we need to get done and we'll definitely be using Rescue Plumbing for all of them! read more

When I had water pouring from the ceiling on the first floor, under the second floor bathroom at 9:30pm on a Thursday, I read the reviews and gave these guys a call. I had Dex and his assistant at my house by 11:00pm that same night. Dex quickly diagnosed the potential problem, added a spacer to fix the toilet flange seal, and even did some minor routing of the toilet drain for me. When the problem turned out to be larger than we all anticipated that night, Dex and his crew were back the next day as promised and did a complete routing of the main stack. My toilet flushes better than it ever has. And he took the time to explain to me what they were doing and show me how they were routing the stack from both directions, bottom up and top down. Can't say enough good things about this company. We have an unfortunate amount of plumbing needs recently, used them 3 times and they were amazing 3 times. They changed a valve for our bathroom shower, and even came back and fixed it for free when the valve we purchased from the hardware store had a faulty piece. They changed our kitchen faucet for a fair price. Most recently they fixed a huge issue with our building which was causing sewage backup into our kitchen. Joey the sewer specialist was so knowledgable. He found a catch basin in our yard full of grease that other companies had missed, even with cameras. As long as we are in Chicago we won't go anywhere else. read more

Call them to route out a drum trap drain. After telling me that they could not access the drain without cutting open the trap, and then they would need an additional part; they quoted a price of $450. Call another plumbing company, Excel Plumbing, they had the tool to open the the trap, and did an excellent job of clearing the drain. The charge was $250. Finding an honest plumbing company can be tricky. Rescue Plumbing should not be a candidate. read more

Pete and Noah were called in for an emergency water backup situation. They showed up on time and were very friendly and professional. They walked me through what was going on and what they were doing because they needed to use a sewer camera. Had a good experience with Rescue Plumbing. They answered when I called, were able to come out the next morning. They were scheduled to come between 10-12 and I received a VM and text around 9:30 from Victor letting me know they were on their way. Victor and Omar were punctual, wore masks and gave me a cost estimate prior to starting work. They worked quickly and fixed the issue with a good explanation of what they did. It wasn't cheap but I really don't know market rate for plumbing. Overall they did a great job and I would use them again! read more

We had a garbage disposal that went out and a Bidet that needed to be installed.
