Consider giving them a call before booking a home energy assessment to see if they actually allow you to pay them to complete an assessment at your home. Hopefully they will update their site and booking process to indicate which building types are excluded from their service offerings.

They charged me $99 to perform an energy whole house energy audit. The guy that came for the audit was late, but called to let me know. He seemed knowledgeable and explained what he was doing and why. He said they'd get back to me with a proposal that would detail the different improvements they could perform as well as an ROI for each option. Sounds good so far, right? The guy that gives me the proposal is also late. He calls to tell me he's stuck in traffic and shows up more than an hour after our scheduled meeting time. He basically gives me a bologna sales presentation with 40% energy savings totaling $30,000. No ROI per line item. He tells me I don't have to do all the line items. When I tell him I'm primarily interested in just the heating work, he leaves. I never hear from him again. My HVAC contractor assured me that there was no additional cost (outside of the 99 dollars) for having the paperwork go through Ciel Power in order to qualitfy for the rebates/financing. The truth is that Ciel Power's quote was for more than $2,500 more for identical work performed by the identical person. I've gotten some addtional quotes on similar insulating and heating projects and I've found I can save 40% on the project cost (well over the 5k rebate) and get similar energy savings elsewhere. I'm out $100 but I hope it saves you yours. Don't get fooled into thinking that this clean energy program rebate will save you money. It may actually cost you.

I had to buy another condenser and it stopped working after 6 months. I have a maintenance contract with them and have had them inspected every spring and fall. I've been without heat since mid November, it is now February and they've sent out techs 5x to diagnose things and they can't figure it out. The worst part is their lack of communication, I've asked for a phone call from their service manager for a month and have not received a single callback. In short they are incompetent and rude to their customers, never calling back
