Worst enchiladas I've ever had. Just paid $17 to eat beans and rice. Plenty of other options close by.

Lately, I've been indulging in chicken-fried steak, and it's now my sole focus. Although I'm not a frequent visitor to this area, today was a remarkable find! The steak was freshly prepared, the potatoes achieved crispy perfection, and the eggs were like fluffy clouds of delight. However, let me emphasize the salsa-it is extraordinary! I even witnessed the chef preparing it fresh upon my arrival. I have just a small amount left, and there is no way I can leave it behind. After all, waste not, want not! Everyone I encountered was exceptionally warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The restaurant was immaculately clean-trust me, I pay attention to details, especially in restrooms! It exuded a fresh aroma and was impeccably tidy. I am eagerly counting down the minutes

But for my plate, almost $20 that had me scratching my head. At that price point you're almost certainly better off going over to red Apple. I now remember why this place is not something I go to more than once every 7 years or so. Fresno continues to be challenged by executing a soft and fluffy omelette that is moist! It's not any better over at red apple in that department... hockey puck. -G

Gotta love their motto: "Every plate is made with love, and every customer is treated like family." I've had the pleasure of meeting Teresa on a few occasions and chatting a bit. She is just so genuine and earnest. I always look forward to seeing her and chatting if she has the time. Each time we are in the area (usually to visit Yosemite and Kings Canyon National Parks) we make sure to stop in. This visit we managed to come in twice! Yay! Just love the working model train set perched overhead in both eating areas. If it's not running, just ask your server and they will turn it on. First visit I ordered the shredded beef enchiladas (comes with refried beans, rice, chips and salsa) along with a nice refreshing beer. Second visit I ordered the Trainwreck breakfast (eggs, hash browns, bell peppers, onions, tortilla chips, jack and cheddar cheese. Plus choice of two meats and two additional vegetables.) with biscuit and gravy. I choose two types of sausage, zucchini and avocado. Oh and an ice cold beer of course. Both meals were fresh and delicious. No matter what I order here I always know it will be tasty and well balanced. Service is always friendly, helpful and courteous! If I lived closer I would definitely stop by more often!

That said, the meal was a bit hit or miss. Some items were flavorful, while others felt a little under-seasoned. It wasn't a bad experience, but nothing really stood out enough to make me eager to return right away. Still, it's a comfortable spot if you're in the area and looking for a casual meal.

Food comes out fast. Bottomless coffee. 5. Some items you can choose 1 side order or 2 side orders. 6. We visited on a weekday and were seated within a few minutes. We sat outside since we had our dog, which was a nice option. I had a mimosa and the chilaquiles, and my boyfriend ordered the chile verde burrito. Portions were really generous-we didn't even finish our plates. The food was good, though I do wish the chilaquiles had come with sour cream and a bit more chicken. Chile verde burrito was yummy! Service was fine and everything came out in a reasonable time. Only downside was the restroom situation-there's just one, and even though I locked the door, someone still walked in right as I was coming out of the stall... super awkward and uncomfortable Overall, a solid spot with big portions and a relaxed vibe on a weekday. I'd come back, just with a couple small improvements in mind.

It's dripping with history and depending on what you order, perhaps gravy and salsa or syrup as well! Apparently, charles Lindberg flew in the 1920s and over 20K people showed up to greet him. One of the biggest names going on at the time and even later, that's pretty cool. It's so fun pigging out here watching all the planes coming in and taking off. Apparently, some of these pilots actually fly in just to have breakfast or lunch and then takeoff! That should tell you something! I forget what I had. It's been a while. I thought I had written this review much earlier. It was definitely 'get in there again good!' It's one of the most unique places to visit in the city. Both the service and the food were excellent and it's fun watching all the plane activity through the huge windows in the diner. Would not hesitate to go out there again and check it out. -G

Ambiance was quiet and quaint, we got here a little after open on Sunday morning of Memorial weekend. Lobby was attractive, loved the wood seating. We got Red Chilaquiles, Bacon Breakfast Burrito, Pancakes, French Toast, and some breakfast plates that come with a meat of choice, eggs and potatoes. Everything was bland, but there are some condiments on the table to help a little. Would not come here again, but would not protest if someone I knew wanted to come here. Worth visiting once.
