First time here and heard that this spot was fire . Went during my lunch hour and boy, it was packed. Two staff working. One on the register and the other making the food. Place is small so everyone is just standing waiting for their food. I ordered the super burrito and waited quite long cause so many people was ahead of me. I ordered the shrimp burrito, breakfast burrito for my husband and super fries with half asada and half pork. Everything was piping hot, and pleasing to the eye!! I should have taken a photo but I was in a rush to eat and pick up my kids. There was plenty of shrimp in my burrito along with fresh onion and bell peppers it was very delicious! The meats on the fries were perfectly cooked with come crispy pieces. When I was picking up my order I told the cook it was my first time there and he said I would like it and he was right! Shrimp Tacos - I enjoyed that the shrimp was covered in a 'fajita" sauce; I like my shrimp tacos with some flavorful seasoning. Torta - Overall enjoyed the flavor profile and meat to veggie to bread ratio Shrimp Burrito - tasty like the taco with the same spicy "fajita" flavor. Wish there was more shrimp though. What I wish was better...the service. Not bad nor rude but, they did forget my shrimp burrito. I didn't check my bag before leaving, and they didn't repeat the order to me either. When I got home, I realized my shrimp burrito was missing. I called and informed them of the missing item. They told me they didn't know how this happened and they asked me when I'd come back to get it, to which I said "in 15 minutes". They said "today?". I was like "yes, today." I wanted my burrito. I assumed they'd be more apologetic and show more sincerity since it was their fault they forgot my item, which resulted in me having to make the trip back for my burrito. When I arrived at the store again, they had it ready, but again, there was not much service in the lens of "hey I'm truly sorry we forgot your item that you paid for in full and the fact that we didn't check upon giving your order to you--that's our fault, and here's what we're going to do to make it right." Again, it's not a huge deal, but showing some sincerity and demonstrating care to your customers can go extra mile when trying to build a loyal customer base. Especially, when there's so many burrito/taqueria places to choose from in the general area. Given the food wasn't super "unique" and the service (in the case of the forgotten food item with the nonchalant attitude) I probably won't be a regular there. read more

It really is true that you can find the best food at places that you least expect. You don't normally expect to find such delicious and fresh Mexican food inside a gas station but that is what they have here. I ordered a shredded beef taco, homemade crispy shell and really good seasoned beef. Probably the best shredded beef taco I've ever had. I also ordered a breakfast burrito, potatoes, chorizo, eggs, cheese and I added beans. The burrito was huge and the tortilla was definitely homemade and fresh. I only got through about half of the burrito. The spicy salsa was a nice compliment. My bill only came out to just over $12. Would highly recommend. read more

The ham burrito came with ham, potatoes, eggs and cheese. Both burritos were huge, great in size for the price and both very had very good flavor. My partner and I found this spot after asking our car rental place for a good spot to get a California burrito. You'll walk into a gas station convenience store that also sells liquor. It'll be clear you're there because there are menu items on the windows outside, but no main big sign. It's in the back left corner when you enter. This is a takeout only spot. It seems like they do catering too. The menu is huge and offers a lot of great options. We ordered the taquito with guac, the taco al pastor, and the Cali burrito. They were so tasty. These items had great flavors and spices. The crunch, cheese, and guac in the taquito was awesome. The taco's spices and juiciness were unforgettable. And the Cali burrito had a nice kick. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by. If I'm ever back in the area, I'd run (not walk) here. read more

I've tried asada, pastor and carnitas tacos/burritos. They make quality food. Their carnitas are a little lacking but that is my only complaint. Far from bad, but not great. If you want great carnitas you will have to go to south/southeast Fresno. Fantastic breakfast burritos and their sauces are great as well. This is my regular breakfast spot. If you get breakfast burritos from Arsenios, stop it and switch to these guys. Their asada and Al pastor meat are very good. You will not be disappointed. read more

Yes, it's in a gas station. These people know what Mexican food is supposed to taste like. It shouldn't take them long to be able to get their own independent location. Everything we had was cooked fresh as we ordered it. The carne asada is great. Great simple marinated beef cooked on a flat top grill, and the flavors go so well with any of the salsas. I think we all had asada. We had fries, wet burritos, chimichangas, and tacos. We got six full meals, and it was less than $90. We will be back to try more stuff. read more

I was craving a burrito and Taqueria 444 hit the spot! Lady working the counter was helpful since it was my first visit. Really enjoyed the California Burritto. Fresh, filled with tons of ingredients and nicely grilled/crisp on the outside. The mild salsa is very mild and adds a nice flavor to the burrito. I am definitely coming back and next time, I'll add guacamole to the California Burrito. This location is also inside the gas station and across from Costco. I was disappointed since the reviews are so high. Ordered delivery tonight. Fish taco was very bland. One tiny piece of dry fish inside. Enchiladas were not bad. The chicken was tender and there was a good amount of sauce. Could use more cheese. Beans and rice were good. I won't be back because I love fish tacos and here they were terrible. This place was really good considering it's location with affordable prices. Got the wet burrito with Asada, super breakfast burrito and an El pastor quesadilla. The taste in general was flavorful and the burritos were packed with meat. The burritos came with guacamole and Pico de gallo and you could get salsa roja or verde on the side. I would definitely recommend going for the breakfast burrito in the mornings as the service was fast. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the quality of the salsas and the quesadilla was very greasy and dripped. Other than that I will be returning! read more
