My fiance and I were in the area to see a play that was across the street. The play was called Port of Entry and it is recommended that you see it if possible. We did not have much time left until the play started and I was hungry so we tried this Mexican Restaurant. I cannot speak to parking as my fiance and I took Uber to the restaurant. When we go to the restaurant, we were able to be seated immediately. They have a pretty large selection of foods that you can order. If we had more time, I like to think if we had more time, that I would have looked at the menu longer and find something that was more authentic Mexican. This time, I ordered the hamburger. If you are rolling you eyes right now, you are not alone. My fiance did the same think and even mimicked the shame scene from Game of Thrones. The burger turned out to be exactly what I needed for this night. It came out quickly and was very tasty. Was craving a Molcajete and thought I would try out this neighborhood spot down the street from my office. Friendly staff, and a truly delicious stone bowl of goodness that hit the spot! Steak, chicken, and chorizo, piping hot with beans, cacatús, and cheese. Very very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get, maybe just a different cut of steak, was a bit tough on texture but excellent on flavor. Meh. So came here 9/19/20 @ around 1:00 and was really surprised with the lack of service at this restaurant. First of all, nobody came for us at the front so we took it upon ourselves to seat ourselves. Then as other tables were getting chips and salsa, our table did not. Our waitress finally came and honestly rushed us through our entire order. We had the had tostada, mar y Tierra Molcajete, two miches, and a pozole. The food was definitely decent but the meat was a tad overdone. Another thing that blew me was I guess there is a thing two mirror that separates the kitchen from the parlor area of the restaurant that the cooking staff may think you cannot are through but you definitely can. We were seated so you can kind of see in the parlor area as well as see and hear the kitchen staff as well as see through that fake 2 way mirror thing. Some Woman came in wearing tight pants and were all talking saying "check out her butt" and basically the whole kitchen staff as looking at her and making catcall noises. How embarrassing for a place of business. Maybe they should be mindful of that and know that the 2way mirror is able to be seen through. When it came time to pay for the bill, our waitress seemed mad to remind me that it was cash only, we kindly obliged but she can hold that rude tone. My boyfriend got the 3 steak taco dinner to go and we shared it but after a few hours, we would not stop having violent diarrhea and vommiting. The food poisoning was so bad I had to go to the ER due to severe stomach pain, and dehydration due to all the loss of liquid. Never eating here again and warning others to be careful. The owners were rude and dismissive. I was trying to contact their owner to explain the situation and was lied to that they dont speak english (youre in an english speaking country with english speaking patrons too that is not an excuse.) Hung up on 3 times while trying to rectify the situation and then when I tried to tell them in person showing my hospital papers was dismissed and gaslit. Its a shame they call themselves a business and i hope they are reviewed and shut down for negligence of food safety. You don't treat someone like crap after they get sick by your food. When seated, you're greeted with chips and salsa and...let me tell you...the salsa is out of this world. It's definitely as good as any Mexican restaurant I've had before, maybe even the best! One of the reasons I love it so much is that, besides tasting fresh, it's got a really nice, spicy bite to it. It's one of those salsas that, once you start, you can't stop. Alright enough about the salsa - onto the food! I ordered the chiles rellenos platter, which comes with two huge chiles filled to the brim with cheese and smothered in salsa. I got the green salsa (you have the choice of red as well) and it's actually quite spicy. You have been warned! Also on the side are Mexican rice, refried beans, and salad. I got to try the chicken fajitas as well, which were a nice contrast to the chiles rellenos - a way to cool down after the spicy green salsa. On the side you of course get a stack of corn tortillas to stuff with the grilled chicken and other goodies. Casual atmosphere and quite clean. Only complaint on that end is the music was really loud and the speaker's bass was ultra heavy. But hey, part of the experience perhaps? At any rate, that's not stopping me from coming back. What a hidden gem in the Albany Park area! After this passing this restaurant more than a few times, I decided it was finally time to try it out. I went with with the chicken taco dinner and was not disappointed! For some reason, chicken tacos can be so easy to mess up when it comes to seasoning and how they are cooked, but they were delicious! I also have had the chance to try a molcajete and it was extremely filling and able to fill up to three people, at least. The only drawback is that when you order the food to go, the wait can be a little long. Regardless of how long the wait is, for either one, it is definitely worth it! read more

There was a television blaring and a sound system roaring. I couldn't figure out why the management felt the need for so much noise. I ventured in to try it out and was happy I did My order consisted on 1 taco ( never order more than 1 in case it's bad ) and a small tray of levanta muertos ( seafood mix of crab legs , mussels , shrimp and cut up octopus ) Well I kick myself because the 1 taco was not enough and I should of ordered 5 , the taco was so meaty and flavorful that I wanted to go back and buy more . Let me tell you. This is some serious Mexican food right here. Been here 6 or 7 times the food is always good and fresh too. You may have to wait about 10 minutes. But to me that's a good thing. Their chip salsa is super hot. But with a lot of flavor. And it always tastes to same. The salsa Verdi and roja is very much the same.
