Add mine to the bunch! When do you *ever* see reviews on Yelp to which *everyone* gives 5 Stars?!?! I had an undetected leak from my dishwasher that resulted in that darn black mold. After my lovely insurance company denied my claim, I had many companies come out to evaluate and give me estimates. The range of costs and plans was staggering. Ronny was on it! The communications were *immediate* and unbelievable. Edgar came out and provided the analysis and was so right-on and honest, not exaggerated like several of the other companies. What a relief! Edgar also did the demo. He rearranged the furniture to make the place livable after the fact. Oh dear. There went part of the wall, all of the lower cabinets on one side, and the flooring! That sure smarted. But Edgar was able to do this feat without the granite counter breaking...which I understand happens 50% of the time. (Yes. It happened when I had a flood in my bathroom in a different incident). And Edgar saved all the cabinet fronts to try to ease the reconstruction when I finally figure this next part out. This is so helpful and may help to reduce my ultimate cost enormously... since I don't have to *all* of the cabinets to have a matching kitchen. And now the icing on the cake. To do this correctly, you have to have a testing company come out and pass you. When the man arrived and heard that Restoration General was doing the mold work, he reassured me (best he could) that I was going to pass. *He* told me that Ronny does the isolation beautifully and correctly and so the results will be good. "And that is not the case with all companies"!!! So that made me feel extra good. And, indeed, I did pass the inspection. So, yes; honest, professional, punctual, patient, proficient, neat, great communications, excellent price, recommended by the testing company too. We definitely have a winner here. Though, they were pretty busy Ronny from RG managed to have someone coming to my home as soon as available. The supervisor that came up was very courteous and professional; Ronny followed up and they were able to solve and help me through the issue. WOW. I am eternally grateful for finding this company. Ronny is an amazing human being. After my initial phone call to him, it became apparent that what my house needed was more than simple mold removal. And although I wouldn't be able to use Ronny's services, he continued to stay on the phone with me for at least 20 minutes, explaining what he recommends i do and referring me to another company for air quality testing. I got a great discount on the air quality testing, since i went through Ronny AND this second company turned out to be just as honest and compassionate as Ronny was himself. After i got my test results back, i learned that i had a severe mold AND asbestos problem in the house. Since i rent my house, i had no idea what my next step should be. The Advanced American Lab company told me that Ronny was very knowledgeable with the legality of such situations, so again, i called Ronny. Since there was damaged asbestos mixed in with the mold, Ronny told me right off the bat that his company would not be able to work on the house (since asbestos is not their specialty) AND STILL Ronny preceded to look over my mold reports and give me advise and counseling on the proper course of action for someone in my situation. A recently had a slab leak. As a result, some of the stucco on the outside of my house was opened up and I discovered a black mold on the exterior surface of some of my plaster walls. If so, just keep calm and call Restoration General. Ronny was always friendly and helpful, guiding us through each step of the remediation process. He said our job would take about 3 days ... and indeed his team was in and out in 3 days, leaving a mold-free environment behind. Edgar and his associate who did the work were always on time and never wasted our time. They also did a good job tearing apart two damaged bathrooms and removing a lot of drywall without doing further damage to our home (this included taking out two large vanities secured to our damaged walls as well as two toilets). Their pricing seems totally fair compared to estimates I'd read online and they got through the job quickly. They also offered a Yelp discount and aided us in contracting an outside vendor (also at a discount) who did the pre-remediation lead and asbestos testing as well as post-remediation mold testing (all clear!). My mold problem was caused by a leaky ice maker water valve. The valve was installed behind a cabinet drawer as apposed to in a plastic box next to the refrigerator. By the time I noticed water sipping out from underneath the cabinet, mold has grown on the footings and drywall. I called Restoration General, and Ronny sent a technician to my house on the same day. The tech immediately started the containment, removal, and treatment of the infected area (of course after I had agreed to the service fees). He then let a machine run for 3 days to dehumidify and clean the air inside the containment. The musty odor went away, and the area appeared clean of mold. I was happy that Restoration General had quickly taken care of my problem. A week later when I was ready to repair the drywall and cabinet, I noticed a very small area with some black particles on an exposed stud. I called Ronny to consult with him of what I saw, and he came to my house on the very next day for an inspection. He used an infrared camera to check the moisture content in the wall. Though everything appeared dry and clean, he cut some more drywall above the area of my concern and carefully treated the stubs with a specialized chemical. We were very pleased with all aspects of the service received from Restoration General. It all started with the discovery of standing water under the home. We called the plumber who said the main pipe to the kitchen and sink was leaking under the house. But the plumber could not repair the leak until all of the standing water was removed and the foundation was restored to its original condition. Here comes Ronny and Restoration General to the rescue. We called another water restoration company who had planned to charge $800 for an estimate. Ronny charged no fee for an estimate, and offered a very reasonable price to clear out and clean the standing water and restore the home to its original condition. WOW. I truly wish I could give Edgar and Ronny of Restoration General 6 stars. I was in a total panic at 2 am, the night before I was supposed to leave for the airport at 6 am for a week-long vacation, because of water damage to our new home. Not optimistic, I turned to Yelp to see if it was even possible to find a 24-hour company to come assess the damage. INCREDIBLY, Ronny answered the phone right away, and called Edgar, who came to our house at 2:30 AM to come help. I have never experienced such stellar service.
