A week or so after my cut, hair kinda dirty and uncombed, some dry shampoo thrown in, and it still looks ROCK!

I will come back here. Those that know me, know how huge that is. A little background, because this is relevant. I have long, straight hair. Low maintenance. I have not been to a salon in .....20+ years? I'm a devotee of the $7 haircut place in my neighborhood, the random cheap haircut places a bit west of me, or hacking my hair off myself with a manicure scissors (that was fine during COVID, actually). I have never been loyal to a salon or haircutting place. I DIY most stuff hair related. But now, I want to be a little more phresh and ROCK and styley. My boyfriend came here first and I was so taken with how great of a haircut he got, that I decided I needed to come here too. So, I came here, armed with a photo of what I hoped would work for my hair. And it actually did! MARISHA, you are fantastic!! My hair has layers! It moves! It curves, even! it does not look thin, how did you dooo thaatt!!! It's still long, but it has shape and movement. I can still throw it into my beloved ponytail when it's time to GET SERIOUS WORKING, but now i have a fetching little strand that curves around my chin vs. a severe Germanic pony tail - it can be another actual style. I AM SO HAPPY WITH MY HAIR NOW. And tempted by the crazy bright colors they do here THAT'S IN MY FUTURE. I also feel comfortable getting a little wilder with the cut in the future, now that I have this fabulous gray growing in (which I love, gray hair RULES). Non gender specific pricing? TAKE MY MONEY, and my heart for a rational approach to hair cuts. Win WIN!!! Seriously, I am someone who balked when my neighborhood place started to charge $7 M / $10 F. NO. And RBCS is super reasonable for the great cuts they do. TIP HEAVY!!!!! Will come back. You should go there too. Shop is SPOTLESS and clean. Online scheduling a breeze - you can see exactly what's available for appointments. A gem. HAPPY. FUN. GREAT. A note: They don't wash your hair THAT'S FINE. Wash it at home!! I'm good with this!!

Trust the process, and trust Rev. Billy with all of your hair care needs I know it is time for a new headshot whenever I reach a critical mass of people at work saying, "Wow, you look so much different than your photo!" when I turn on my camera for a Zoom meeting. Reviewing my headshot proofs this past week have made me reflect on what an incredible job my stylist, Rev. Billy, has done with my hair over the past 8 years. My natural hair is a dark, dark brown - practically black! The morning of a milestone birthday (no hints but it ended in zero), I decided I wanted to look like Silver Sable from The Amazing Spider-Man issue #265. Rev. Billy was amiable to my whims, and explained patiently and scientifically that going from naturally (and practically) black hair to white hair had to be done gradually so as not to cause all my hair to fall out. I was not familiar with this, as Billie Eilish explaining to People Magazine it took her months to become blonde had not been made mainstream yet. Rev. Billy was so incredibly careful and considerate, prioritizing the health and strength of my hair was first and foremost. "Trust the process!" I was told, and trusting that process paid off 100%. You can see that going from (practically) black hair to white hair IS a process. The strength and health of my hair was never compromised. And because Rev. Billy took such good care of it, I never ONCE had any of my hair fall out. Photos 1 and 2 are from May 4, 2019, the day I first began my white/blonde-haired journey. Photo #5 was taken February 25, 2021, the day I decided I wanted to grow my hair out. Photo #12 (my latest headshot) was taken June 17, 2023. Because Rev. Billy took such good care of my hair, I have been able to explore all different sorts of hair journeys. Including my most recent journey - which has been to grow my hair out as long as I possibly can. Or at least until my next milestone birthday ends in a zero where I will probably chop it all off and start again. All this to say, my hair is living proof of the benefits that come with taking your time and being patient with the process. Rev. Billy's Chop Shop has taken such good care of me, and I have been so fortunate to have Rev. Billy as my stylist always taking great care of my hair while making me look fabulous every step of the way. Seriously check them out if you are considering a change yourself - they will take great care of you! I know I cannot wait for my appointment next week

I had the best salon experience of my life here! I am OBSESSED with my hair! It was my first time in and Libby was my stylist, I cannot say enough how amazing of a job she did. They are taking Covid very seriously with temperature checks and only 2 stylists working with one client at a time. I felt extremely safe coming in. Everyone was so nice and it is a salon environment everyone would feel comfortable in. In order to get the colorful hair I wanted Libby had to bleach my hair to snow from dirty (over processed) blonde. I have had my hair bleached many times and it has never come out this soft EVER. I felt like a magical unicorn walking out of the salon and I get compliments all the time on my hair, even weeks after my appointment. Libby also told me exactly how to maintain color and life after my appointment, and I left feeling so confident about upkeep! I am absolutely coming back to Libby for all of my hair needs. Get your butts in there!

The best experience I ever had! This was my first time coming to this shop and also getting my hair dyed. Marisha went above and beyond with helping me restore my hair and helping me achieve these awesome colors! Found out my hair had a whole bunch of built up from using bad products (that I had no idea were bad!). Got mad educated and picked up some Kevin Murphy products on my way out to make sure healthy things are actually going in my hair! All the love to both Marisha and Billy for working their magic! Don't hesitate and go to them!

I cannot say enough good things about Lira Hair Salon. I came in after a disastrous visit to a…read moreso‑called "blonde specialist" who completely ruined my hair while trying to take me from brunette to blonde. My hair was damaged, uneven, and honestly I was scared to try again. Lira changed everything. She not only helped me achieve the blonde I originally wanted, but she did it in a way that protected my hair and brought it back to life. My color looks beautiful, natural, and exactly how I envisioned it. Even better--my hair is actually growing back and feeling healthy again. Lira is truly a master of her craft. She listens, she cares, and she knows exactly what she's doing. If you're thinking about going blonde or need someone to fix a color gone wrong, she's the one you want in your corner. Absolutely worth every visit.

First I will start with what was good…read more 1. The dye job ended up beautiful. I came in with pretty unclear instructions and reference photos and both the stylist and the owner were able to figure out what fit my needs. This seems to be a huge strength here. 2. They were able to fit me in last minute. What was bad 1. The total time listed online was 1.45 hours, the service ended up taking 2.45 hours. I have been to many salons and never had my hair take that long, especially when I was getting all over color and a blowout (no haircut). Perhaps this was due to me booking last minute. However, the website booking made it look wide open and I think it is the responsibility of the salon to accurately represent their booking capability. I would not have booked with them had I known what experience was to follow. 2. The salon overall seemed overbooked and people were bouncing around. Three different people worked on my hair. Personally, I really didn't like this set up. I like to build a relationship with my stylist and this hectic atmosphere was not synonymous with that 3. The blowout I had was so uncomfortable. The rollers were tangled up in my hair and I could feel it ripping out as the stylist took them out. I have never have a blowout be so painful. My hair had so many split ends after I looked in the mirror at home. 4. My hair fell the moment I stepped outside. Granted it was a windy day, but my hair doesn't typically fall that fast. I think this may have been due to the stylist rushing at the end. On one hand I'm glad she did because I had been sitting alone for quite some time, but on the other hand I paid for essentially nothing. My old stylist back home (moved cross country) had no problem giving me a blowout that lasted at least a few hours. Even on windy days. 5. At one point the owner took my stylist in the back and seemed to be scolding her. This is never something a new client wants to see. I immediately felt anxious that something had gone wrong with my hair color. It ended up great but tbh experience was awkward and handled strangely in my opinion. 6. Finally. The price came out to $260 for all over color and a blowout. I wouldn't mind this price if it wasn't for the lackluster experience. Hair salons are charging luxury prices without offering luxury experiences. The pricing structure is also strange. They charge $60 extra for toner but I have never had a color job that didn't need toner to look good. It feels strange to not include it all together. The toner charge was added after which was a surprise because toner has always been included in the price. To be clear, the website did ask if I wanted to add toner for $60. I thought that was for someone coming in looking just to tone and not add more color. Perhaps this was my mistake but I found the whole pricing structure strange. A few other things to note: water was offered but never given and they only accept cash/zelle/venmo tips. Overall this salon was not a fit for me. A lot of this is subjective preference but I think it's important that people understand what environment they are paying for when they sign up to spend hundreds. That being said, the color was beautiful and I am grateful for that.

I usually see Emad for my cut, color, and blowout, and he is SO kind and incredibly talented. He's truly the best hairstylist I've ever been to. My blowouts last for days, which is why I always book with him before trips. It saves me from worrying about styling my hair or packing my Dyson. I've also referred several friends, and they are just as obsessed with Emad and the team as I am. Everyone I've encountered at the salon has been so professional and kind. I also wanted to add, in response to a Yelp review mentioned below, that I've personally never encountered a language barrier with any of the staff.
