4.5 stars. We came early right around opening with our toddler on Sat in winter and it was fairly empty, which was nice. I really liked the decor which was was bright and cute - colorful paintings of roosters and the town. We ordered salmon benedict and a basic type of breakfast (eggs, potatoes, bacon) that came with a side of French toast, which was covered in sweet banana coating. I thought my dish was a bit overpriced and not that great for what it was ($15ish and my fav part were the potatoes) but the portions were definitely large. Hubby enjoyed the benedict and secretly stole most of the banana French toast. They had kid seats which was nice and we let our toddler wander the fairly empty hotel lobby right outside the cafe. So I would consider the place fairly kid-friendly. Coffee was self-serve and delicious; they also had a barista for lattes and such. Lots of pastry options that looked pretty affordable, although we didn't try any. read more

The photos of extensive menu items or brunch may be old. There was a conference going on while we were there so maybe there's another cafeteria style place? Staff did not know what we were talking about we had seen in Yelp reviews. Came here for breakfast after perusing those photos. Format here is walk up to counter, order coffees or pick out canned beverages and baked items in case. And or circle ingredients to build your own breakfast sandwich. Staff at counter average, not particularly effusive but not unfriendly. Nice local artwork on walls, seat yourself. Biscuit "bun" tasty and kind of crispy on edges- like cornbread. read more

A rare brunch experience in a sea of mediocre cafes in Port Townsend and surrounding area. While finding the place was a little tricky (ask people you see), the service and good made it worthwhile. The food was imaginative, perfectly portioned, and delicious. They don't have oficial outdoor seating, but you can count at the counter and they'll bring to you if you grab an outside table. read more

The food selection for lunch is limited, but everything we tried was great quality and very tasty. The salads and some of the sandwiches are pre-made. Four of us for dinner Friday 12/14. Service was excellent. Quite a few wine choices. Menu is not large but enough choices for most people. I had the roasted beet salad and tenderloin steak. Friends had the crab pappardelle. All agreed very good food. The space was not full for a Friday night. I believe this is because making reservations is not easy and the process is convoluted. All reservations go through the front desk and not to the reataurant Dinner 3/15/19 Again good service friendly. Menu was completely changed and I applaud them trying new dishes. We both had the blackened salmon not especially flavorful and why blacken a piece of Cape Cleare salmon with some kind of bacon jam, mashed root vegetables too rich, brussels sprouts roasted, tasted bitter. Port Townsend is so fortunate to have this incredible restaurant. Our family enjoyed a beautiful Thanksgiving at Fort Worden. Every detail was perfect and the dinner was absolutely delicious. Came here with a friend's wedding brunch. Really, really tasty food (amazing chicken sausage) ... everyone loved their food, great ambiance. Just had a fantastic brunch at Reveille as an after-wedding celebration. The staff was extremely patient and friendly with our big group; the food came out impressively quickly for a party this size, and they kept the coffee coming. I had the crab cake Benedict--great hollandaise and well seasoned crab cakes. Plus complimentary beignets!! read more

Wow-what a pleasant surprise. We have been visiting this town for several years, eaten at many places and this place is the BEST!!! The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, the wine list nice-and not very expensive. We can't wait to go back again!! We had a pork dish entree, along with ling cod-awesome. The appetizers included camembert cheese as well as red carrots-both wonderful. The bread is home-made foccacia, also delicious. read more

Had an amazing breakfast here just absolutely fantastic five stars all the way! I tried their Sweet potato&House bacon Benedict and it was absolutely fantastic I cleaned the entire plate. Everything was perfect here and it was apparent that they only source high quality ingredients. The bacon was nice and thick and clearly the best quality grade and the sweet potato breakfast potatoes were very tasty and gave the dish a nice twist. I usually don't finish my hash browns or potato sides but I did here for sure. Good beverage selection as well. Service was a little bit slow but still pretty efficient and attentive. I can not recommend this place enough for Sunday brunch what a delight and great local find. Also a very nice place to take a Sunday morning or afternoon stroll after your meal! read more

Breakfast two days here while staying the weekend at the Fort. Port Townsend is a favorite weekend getaway, but there are really only about 3 breakfast options in town -- so I was happy to learn of Reveille. Saturday setup was order at the cash register, while Sunday was sit down table service. Food both days was great - way better than I would have expected at a State Park restaurant - and now one of my new favorite places for PT breakfast. Sunday there was some slight confusion about one of the orders in my party, but staff handled it gracefully and cheerfully. Beautiful breakfasts. read more

This place has that nice comfy coffee house feel with tall ceilings and free wifi... We came here once for breakfast and once for coffee. The food was ok, nothing that I would look forward to having again though. The waitress was very unfriendly, didn't make eye contact and didn't come back to check on us once. We came in for early breakfast and loved it. We different egg dishes and all were tasty and well prepared. The atmosphere is very comfortable and casual. They sell quite a variety of natural snacks as well which must come in handy if you are staying at the fort or attending a conference there. We'll definitely be back on our next trip to PT. read more

Reveille The restaurant, Reveille, is located a 7 minute drive away in the middle of the historic Fort Worden, nestled in the front of the Commons, one of the few new buildings in the Fort.  The dining experience, however, is worth the extra effort. Port Townsend is full of gastronomic surprises, but this Farm to Fork restaurant, operated by Chef Cass and Restauranteur Kristan McCary, offers a sophisticated Pacific Northwest Gourmet Cuisine for the locals and tourists of Port Townsend. If you want locally sourced, sustainable, and seasonal fare paired with regionally crafted wines, ciders,and brews for a uniquely Pacific Northwest dining experience, make your way to Fort Worden. We made reservations (a must!) for the monthly wine dinner and were smart to do so.....all of the tables were reserved. Five courses are offered and each course paired with wines from a vintner who comes to present his wines with generous pours. Each month features a different vintner from the Pacific Northwest.  We started with herb roasted cauliflower steaks dressed with a beurre blanc and a large dollop of grape rosemary chutney. This was accompanied by a perfectly chilled a 2014 Gewurztraminer from Idiot's Grace Winery and Vintner in the Columbia River Valley. A perfect start to whet your taste buds. The next course was filet of salmon wrapped in rice paper, seared perfectly to flake off of your fork. It was surrounded by a rich reduction of tamarind and soy and a small stack of julienned tricolored vegetables. Course three was a Mushroom Cannelloni topped with savory, crisp chunks of pancetta bathed  in a rich creamy truffle and parsley froth. This was paired with a 2014 Dolcetto from Idiot's Grace Winery and Vintner. It doesn't end.....next course was Braised Short Ribs Ragu over a Chipotle Sweet Potato Mash garnished with sautéed broccolini. This was paired perfectly with a 2013 Syrah, Grenache blend called Mistral Ranch. The black cherry notes of the wine enhanced the rich savory red wine tomato ragu and the fall off of the fork tenderness of the short ribs. We finished with three of the richest chocolate truffles imaginable, cayenne cinnamon, bittersweet chocolate, and almond chocolate...too decadent and sinful to pass up. The service was efficient, timely while unobtrusive, their goal was to enhance our enjoyment, not feature their service. We felt unrushed and undisturbed, yet our desires seemed anticipated...the wait staff appearing as soon as our wants. What an incredible evening! read more

My wife and I stopped in here for dinner. Had a little trouble finding it as there are no signs outside. It's inside the commons building at Fort Worden. My wife had Pasta Rustica and I had Chicken Marsala. Both were delightful and reasonably priced. We had a Pinot Grigio and a Chardonnay that were also excellent. The bread starter with the garlic infused balsamic olive oil was to die for. When in Port Townsend this is a go to place for us. read more

Reveille is well worth a visit. We had a nice lunch there, although not what we were expecting. We checked out the restaurant's website beforehand and drooled over the long list of great sounding sandwiches on their lunch menu. When we got there we were handed lunch menus that featured zero sandwich choices. They had sliders, the only thing with bread that we saw. A "roasted vegetable" salad we had was good, although the vegetables in taste and consistency were mushy microwaved frozen veggies. (We love roasted vegetables) The rest of the salad was tasty. We were served warm tap water with our meal which was a disappointment on a very hot summer afternoon after a long bike ride. I poured mine out and refilled my glass with cold water from my bike's water bottle. From what I saw I bet this restaurant is capable of exceptional meals. Their attention to detail and execution was lacking on our visit. If they are going to post a menu online they really need to update it to reflect what the restaurant is actually serving. Online they offer a BLT, a roasted turkey and cranberry sandwich, a smoked French dip, a roasted vegetable sandwich and a Washington burger. None of these were available when we dined there, and we confirmed with our server that this was the case. As of this review their website still lists all of the delightful sounding sandwiches which they won't serve you when you visit. read more

We've eaten virtually everywhere in Port Townsend, and this is our favorite for a good dinner. The menu has an excellent variety and we've enjoyed everything we've had in our three visits so far, from short ribs to scallops to prawns. Beautifully plated as well as deliciously flavored! Nice wine list at reasonable prices. (Entrees are reasonable as well, with perfect quantity--not huge plates to make up for so-so quality. The table for two at the front window is our favorite! We live in Port Townsend, know its restaurants, and love really well designed and prepared food. Our first meal tonight in this lovely and peaceful restaurant on the grounds of Port Townsend's treasured Fort Worden, suffused with late spring evening atmosphere and blessed with wonderful acoustics, was the best dinner we have found in PT in many years. Gorgeous tenderloin, perfect short ribs. A starter beet salad that could not have been better. A unique ginger pear bread pudding dessert that was subtle in its multiple flavors. Prices are mid-range for good restaurants: the tab for two, with wine, salads, entrees, a dessert and a Cafe Americano was $80, and there were less expensive entrees on the menu. We even liked the background music (Ella, Satchmo, etc.), and we are picky! Can't wait to go again. read more
