Buffalo Chicken Wrap Sweet Potato Fries

Revelry seriously has some of the best bar food you can find on E 6th street. This is our GO to spot if we need to eat during our bar hopping adventures. You can't go wrong on the menu, everything is solid. My fave is the buffalo chicken wrap (fried or grilled) with blue cheese dressing and sweet potato fries. It's pretty reasonably priced too which I appreciate. The service is good and the vibes are good. One of my fave spots to watch sports and have a delicious meal!

From the brunch menu, chicken wings & waffles. So good!

Revelry never dissappoints. Since moving here 2 months ago, I've popped in 5 or 6 times. When it's slow, the always friendly staff chit-chats with me. When it's busy, they're less talkative but still cool. Like today, a busy NFL Sunday. I was probably the only guy who cared about the Bucs/Jets game. I asked the doorman about it. He quickly grabbed a (I think) manager who quickly found an open TV for me, with an open table in the shade, directly in front of it. It was during brunch (11-3) and I had some amazing chicken wings & waffles with a few beers and a shot, watching my Bucs squeak out a win. It was pretty awesome. It's a fun indoor/outdoor sports bar and I'm lucky to live within walking distance. ;-)

We visited Revelry Kitchen + Bar in Austin, TX last week and I'm glad we did. It's a chill sports bar with lots of seating outdoors. They do have indoor limited seating at the bar. Although there is plenty of benches and tables with televisions showing the football games. We ordered the six buffalo wings, patty melt, and loaded cheese fries. The wings were delicious and crispy with good flavor. The patty melt was a bit salty, but the loaded cheese fries were crispy and tasty. Our server was quick and friendly. We definitely enjoyed our visit. A great place for food, libations, and watching the game.

Updating to 4 stars because we actually got to try the food yesterday on Superbowl Sunday and it was delicious ! :) Perfect Vibes for a football game.

Excellent hot fresh food. Chicken pesto sandwich delicious, house salad generous and fries were seasoned perfect. Tons of tv's to watch your favorite team play. Cool sports bar / outdoor patio. Staff also attentive and very kind. My go to sports bar when visiting ATX.

Revelry is an East 6th staple for a reason - there's plenty of seating, good music, and the staff is friendly. Their holiday decorations were super cute and the drinks weren't special but they were still good!

Great HH spot!! Their brussel sprouts are fantastic. They use a maple sriracha bacon sauce and it's addictive, not to mention they are discounted on happy hour. I also enjoy their RK burger. It's juicy and flavorful and I often add cheddar cheese. Their employees are always friendly and they renovated the indoor area, which looks great! You can also choose to sit on one of their two patio areas. Wells are $5 on HH.

The vibe outdoors is fun, it's open air with mist fans blasting and a roof overhead. Dog-friendly and saw several dogs there. There are big TV's as well to watch the games. You seat yourself, pull up the menu on a QR code, and go to the bar to order. There's paid street parking and small parking lots nearby. As for the food, it's mediocre bar food. I tried a couple recommendations from other reviews, namely the pretzel bites and the wings (Asian garlic flavor), both of which were very average in taste. The burgers don't even come with fries, you have to order them as an appetizer.

I've only been here once, for drinks while catching up with a friend. We stumbled across this place playing very nice live music , so decided to go in. I was very pleased with the ambience, the service was quite attentive for a Sat night. I'll definitely go back to checkout the food next time.

Do they honor "expired" gift certificates? I honestly don't know of any other location where your money is only temporarily good.

Do they allow dogs on the patio?

    Yes

    Open Thanksgiving? Hours?

Will we be closed on Thanksgiving. Our sister bar, Corner Bar on 1901 S. Lamar will be open. 3pm-2am.

Is the brunch menu available ALL day, even for dinner?

The Brunch menu is only available at Sunday Funday Brunch, 11am-3pm. Every Sunday.

    No teenagers during brunch hours?

When I've been, there's a sign upon entry that says no one under 21.

Do you have big slow melting ice cubes for your cocktails? If yes, what drink comes with it?

Yes we offer several of our house cocktails with the large cubes. All of our Old Fashioneds as well and any rocks pour of premium liquor.

Is this a good bar to watch sports?

There are 2 very large TV screens across from each other and a smaller TV or 2 in other areas of the bar. We watched the Winter Olympics here.

Is this place 21+ only? I'm thinking about bringing some of my friends here for a dinner but saw in big font on their website that it was 21+ up?

Yes, Revelry is 21 and up only. It is listed as 21 and up only on Yelp, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Foursquare, and the website.

I felt the vibe instantly, like as soon as I put one foot in the door. Magical, sophisticated, worldly, wonderful and more were the feelings that spontaneously hit me. The dark and elegant decor, lighting, design, & layout made me feel as though I were in a high-end Tokyo cocktail lounge. The front room as I mentioned is an intimate bar and lounge area with artwork adorning the walls. It's a modern, minimalist, and sleek space. The artwork is ever-changing (every couple of months or so) and the cocktail menu changes right long with it. Note: artwork is available for purchase. What an absolutely glorious way of combining different mediums (liquid art vs physical art). The craft cocktails & mocktails are the epitome of works of art. I've had great cocktails and mocktails elsewhere but honestly I'd be hard pressed to find anything on this level. You're taken into an entirely different realm just watching the genius of mixologists. It's mesmerizing watching them hone their craft. In the back of the lounge is an enclave of eclectic art and other pieces that then leads you to Konbini, the sushi bar. It's an industrial, warehouse vibe with a long counter that screams hip, Tokyo inspired, late-night eatery. Service is impeccable and welcoming at this cosmopolitan venue. It's truly an amazing experience.

I was pretty bothered by my experience here. Even aside from their mid drinks, it felt like we were constantly chasing down servers and they were only attentive when they needed something from us. We went to the photobooth to take pictures before we sat down, but the machine ate my money and broke down. I let a server know, and he came back and said he would comp $20 off of our meal, which I was happy about. I honestly only wanted them to refund me my $10 for the photobooth strip. However, they came back a few minutes later and gave us a photo card and told us to use it to pay for the photobooth and it could be used an unlimited amount of times. I was also happy with this solution, but what happened afterwards left a bad taste in my friends' and my mouth. We hadn't gotten menus or been asked what we wanted to order yet. We were just waiting around for drink menus and food menus, so we didn't want to get up and go take photos when they might come back to take our orders. The manager (?) came back to me a few minutes later and asked if we had taken photos yet, and I let him know that we were waiting to be given menus. He said someone else would give us menus, and another server gave us only a drink menu. A few minutes later, we are still waiting for food menus. The same manager came back and asked us to not lose the photo card. At this point, we were frustrated. Why come back constantly to ask for a photo card when we haven't even been given our food or our menus yet? When we finally got our food, a different server asked if we had given back the photo card yet. They were so pressed about getting this photo card back and not actually getting our orders, and we also thought it was a bit distasteful to offer a solution (the $20 off the meal) but then go back on it with the photo card. It was presented as "unlimited" swipes but we were rushed to give the card back, and realistically, we only had enough time to take one set of photos. The drinks themselves were truly just okay. I don't think any of us were particularly impressed with our drinks, but the interior of Papercut is really nice and intimate.

The bartender claimed I was drunk and cut me off anyway. I was at the bar talking to a girl while waiting to get a drink (the wait was long because the service is very slow, despite the bar not being very busy at all). She was clearly into me, and the bartender kept jumping in trying to talk to her too (instead of doing his job making drinks). He was doing all sorts of things to try and flirt with her and make her laugh: pulling out and showing her buckets of pre mixed cocktails, running and sliding under the bar, etc. She was engaging with both of us , and right in the middle of that, I get cut off out of nowhere. No explanation other than claiming I looked drunk, which I very clearly wasn't. It felt very clear what was going on--he wanted me out of the way. I left and asked the bouncer on my way out if I seemed drunk. This was literally two minutes later. He said no, not at all, and asked me why I would even ask that. I then told him exactly what happened and asked him to let the owner or whoever was in charge know about this extremely unprofessional conduct so they can discipline the bartender. His response was that the bartender has discretion to cut anyone off, and let me know the bartender is supposedly married so he couldn't have been flirting with any of the customers. Well, sounds like his logic is flawed--not only COULD he flirt with his customers, he WAS, and was therefore cheating. I hope his wife finds out. This is perfectly representative of Austin customer service lately and not normal in other places. I was in Tampa for an entire month earlier this year and this would've been unthinkable there. I'm not coming back.

But I should know not to get my hopes up... Storytime... We had a resy for 8 at 9:45 for a birthday, we arrived at 9:45 there was no clear spot to check in, we asked around and they pointed us to the water station by the entry. After finally being greeted, we were told our section wasn't ready, the other party hadn't left yet. The server / hostess seemed frazzled and kept running around trying to get us a section and talking to people about leaving. We stood there waiting for about 30 minutes. Then we were finally seated in a section barely big enough for 6, we were crammed in like sardines, sweatin. We asked the parties next to us if they could push over a bit so we all could fit, luckily they were friendly and accommodating. We were greeted not too long after being seated, Our order was taken by the first server, It took about 30 minutes for drinks and food to start to come out. The birthday girl ordered a hookah and it took an hour and a half for it to come out. Then we were not checked on for about an hour, We finally ordered more drinks and then we never received them, We asked three different servers and were told several times that they were taking care of it and it was never taken care of, We left at 1:15 without ever getting our additional orders. One of the servers told us that the bar was crazy busy and that they were probably making our drinks and people at the bar were just taking them. So chaotic. We were finally helped by Heaven and Summer at the end around 1:00 a.m. when we asked to pay for our tab. Of course the tab was all wrong because it had all of the drinks we ordered that we never received. Again, chaotic. I felt bad for the birthday girl because she was really excited about being there for the first time with all of us and the experience was subpar at best. I will say, the best part was the DJ, HellaYella. And the jerk lamb chops. Also, If and I mean if, We ever go back, We will not reserve a section like that and we will get our drinks at the front bar and sit out on the nice patio. We'll see.
