Stopped here on a whim as I was on the market for a latte and the line and a cute exterior caught my eye. This place is situated in a mini food market of sorts with some small shops for desserts, food, and drinks. I got an iced chai latte and didn't have any issues. Wouldn't have minded a stronger chai flavor, but overall pretty good (7.5/10). There was a good amount of seating outside and plenty of space to roam. What a super neat spot! My colleague and I were headed down to Carlsbad for an event and really wanted to grab a coffee from a local spot. This place popped up on Yelp and I'm so glad we swung by. They had some seasonal drinks like a cardamom latte, brown sugar sage latte, and black sesame matcha during the time we came. I got the latte with cardamon in it. The barista at the front was really helpful and knowledgeable on the drinks. The coffee did taste pretty standard overall but I definitely did taste the floral notes that was mentioned. This shop is part of an open space area so there's plenty of seating outdoors and some limited seating indoors. There's plenty of shade and parking. I did see that they had some food offerings like toasts and smoothie bowls. Super cute spot to work or hangout, especially if it's a warm spring kind of day. read more

Nicer little shop in Carlsbad village. There's a small parking lot adjacent to the shops but it was all full when we got there. The shared open concept was a nice place to relax or meet up with friends. They share the area with Pop Pie, Shoots, and Stella Jean's. We ordered the seasonal black sesame matcha. Matcha was smooth but I think they forgot to add the black sesame syrup in ours unless it was extremely subtle because it had no black sesame taste at all. Just tasted like pure matcha. read more

There's a large outdoor space in the back with plenty of seating; it was relaxing to dine outside in stereotypically perfect San Diego weather. We tried the morning bun, which is dotted with pistachios and crushed edible flowers, a buckwheat banana bread, ham and cheese croissant, and a salmon lox toast. My favorites were the ham and cheese croissant, which was flaky and delicious, and the salmon lox toast. We also got a decaf and a regular latte, but both drinks were just okay. The menu also includes delicious breakfast items and fresh baked pastries. The staff were very attentive and friendly. For drinks, we ordered the following; - raspberry matcha latte (seasonal) 5/5 - Butterscotch Latte 5/5 The raspberry matcha was excellent drink as well as the Butterscotch latte. For breakfast we got; -2 smoked salmon 5/5 -1 basil whipped Feta veg 4/5 And for pastries we had peach Lychee pop tart and salted caramel shortbread. The peach Lychee pop tart is a must try! We were staying with friends who live in Carlsbad. We walked to the Village to do some day drinking. After a while we needed a booze/beer break and a pick-me-up. Our Carlsbad resident friends suggested a nearby coffee shop, Revolutiona Roasters. We walked in and the place was clean and cute with that local coffee shop vibe. Service was friendly and quick. Three of us opted for the Maple Latte. Becky wanted something caramel, but Revolution Roasters has no caramel. None. The guy behind the counter suggested a butterscotch latte as "the closest thing to caramel". So she did. I rarely drink iced and/or flavored coffee. I'm old school black, hot coffee. I found the maple latte to be pretty good in flavor albeit pretty damn sweet. It was a refreshing pick-me-up though. The other two liked theirs also. Becky on the other hand, not so much. She said the butterscotch was just "okay", not at all a substitute for caramel. read more

I went here kind of on a whim for a snack and it blew me away! They have all kinds of toast, and I was so happy to find that they offered gluten free toast! I got the smoked salmon and WOW! Some of the best gf toast I've had. It had herbed butter, flavorful delicate salmon, crunchy salt and pepper, lemon zest, and edible flowers. A total work of art. The gluten free bread is a little smaller, so it was two pieces of toast. I got a kombucha and sat in the courtyard which was lovely! Such great vibes here. The service was friendly, kind, and quick. I was so happy with my experience and will definitely be back soon for more gf toast, and am also now inspired to put lemon zest on all my salmon from now on. read more

This was a cute little coffee spot in Carlsbad. It is located just down the street from Pizza Port surrounded by a white fence. I can only describe it as a little village of tiny bungalows. They have a beer shop, pie shop, ice cream shop and of course coffee shop all within their white fenced area with grass over by the tables. I believe they also had a few yard games. There are lots of spots to sit under a very nice tree. Lots of dogs on leashes if you have a furry friend with you. I forgot about the coffee. It is excellent. We ordered a latte and my hubby gave it two thumbs up with regards to strength and taste. They also have tea options. read more

I was so excited to try this place, based on all of the great reviews, but unfortunately the entire experience was a huge disappointment. Not sure if I was just there on an off day, or others that have left reviews are just super generous, but nothing was good. First and foremost, I walked in ready to order, and the guy at the register and another guy filling the pastry case looked at me, yet ignored me and continued to have their conversation as I just stood there waiting for somebody to take my order or even acknowledge that I had walked in. I was super excited to try their honeycomb latte since it sounded amazing. Unfortunately, the baristas weren't friendly at all either when my name was called for my drink...and it tasted like a watered down latte. Not even a hint of honey whatsoever. It just tasted like water down coffee with milk thrown in :( I'm not expecting to be treated like royalty when I walk into a coffee shop, but I surely don't want to feel like everyone is annoyed that they have to take an order and make a coffee. Excellent coffee spot in the village. Its surrounded by other restaurants and breweries which makes this spot a great gathering spot for groups and friends. I enjoyed a cappuccino and their cinnamon roll. The roll was excellent and had great frosting to cake ratio. There is a parking lot right behind here as well as street parking. LOVE Revolution! Always one of my go-to stops in Carlsbad. They have creative seasonal flavors (ordered orange vanilla pine today) & their avocado toast & pastries are SO good! The coffee here is very high quality, smooth, and not bitter. They don't make it so sweet like many places, but I still got half sweet with an extra espresso shot. I went to the other location in Oceanside before where the parking wasn't so great, but this location is much better! It also had other small businesses surrounding the area. I love how the parking I found was in a parking lot and easily accessible. There was a bit of a wait, but everyone was nice. The employee was great. She explained how their syrups were made in house with love and less sweet than a regular Starbucks. I appreciated that because I don't like my drinks very sweet. The sesame matcha was good. I didn't know it came hot, but thankfully it did because there wasn't much indoor seating and it was a little chilly outside. Majority was outdoor seating with nice ambiance and a bunch of heat lamps that didn't work. Only two worked then one, so they must have been running low on gas. Revolution Roasters is a little on the pricier side compared to Porto's, but it's a nice place to stop and visit. I would come here again as a treat. read more

The tea color is the shade of emerald green you want, properly hand whisked, with frothy foam, and a solid matcha-to-milk ratio. Highly recommended It, I also bought a pastry with the avocado and tomato toast. This place uses high-quality items such as Harlem tomatoes on ithe avocado toast. All the bake goods seem to be fresh. I stumbled upon this spot for a drink and to get some work done. I love that there's plenty of seating, so finding a spot shouldn't be an issue. The back patio even has heat lamps, which is a nice touch. I haven't visited during warmer weather yet, but hopefully, there will still be plenty of seating then. Inside, a few tables have outlets, which is great if you need to plug in a laptop. The barista was very welcoming and took the time to suggest drinks based on my preferences, which was a nice touch. For the matcha lovers, this place does it quite well! They use honey for sweetness and the matcha itself is good quality. The matcha isn't super strong here, but is balanced with the milk! Today was an exception and it will be a while before I return, if I do. I ordered a not-too-sweet mocha and found it much too sweet when I tasted it. I politely asked if a little extra milk could be added to balance it out, but was told "that is the amount of milk that comes with the drink, it will be $1.00 if you'd like more milk". I was surprised by the lack of flexibility, especially after paying $6 for a 12 oz drink. Clearly, my satisfaction didn't matter. A small gesture could've completely diffused the situation and left them with a satisfied customer. read more
