    Tacquitos and tamales
    Connie L.

I always stop by when I'm in the area! Service is quick and friendly with indoor and outdoor seating. This cozy spot also serves baked goods. The prices are affordable price and the portions are generous. I've tried the Pozole, green and red tamales, and taquitos which were all delicious and a comforting start to the morning. The food always comes out hot which I always appreciate (careful the pozole was extra hot!)

Mexican baked goods, donuts, cookies, pies, coffee, tea, food. This place has a little bit of everything. There is a steady stream of locals all morning so you know it's good. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

    Chilaquiles with chicken

Very nice little hole on the wall bakery with some delicious Mexican dishes. We had the red chillaquilles and I added a savory addition of chicken. The over easy eggs were perfect and Monterey Jack cheese to top. Cafe de Olla was delicious and hot. Had to end it with a banana bread and a peanut butter muffin to go. Wonderful staff and meal to walk off with the nearby antique and boutique shops.

    Breakfast quesadilla
    Michael S.

Very friendly staff with a cornucopia (love that word!) of cookies and pastries. Everything in the glass case looked amazing and hopefully others will guide you towards their best offerings , whether it be the Italian wedding cookies, conchas, or guava cheese danish. The interior is dated and awkwardly laid out, with a separate coffee shop in the middle of the store, but who cares, right? It's the same line for coffee or baked items. I had a breakfast quesadilla and coffee. The quesadilla was basic and had sliced avocado and pico gallo on top. There is nothing exceptional about it, but it was hot and filling. Coffee was hot but tasted bland. Maybe I'm getting snobby about my morning coffee... Overall, worth a shot. There were plenty of people there at 630a but turnover was fast.

    Veggie breakfast burrito
    Valerie Deanna C.

You know what? I got a good, quality veggie burrito for an affordable price, extra salsa - no charge. Sure the veggies all could have been grilled a little more/a little longer to pull the flavors together better, but I'm not mad. I'm not mad at all. A healthy burrito that didn't have me feeling disgusting and heavy. They sell all sorts of food on the menu, so I'm going to visit again and try something else, but the veggie burrito is healthy and solid. Full of veggies. Support small businesses.

Small mom and pop bakery! I was helped right away! I ordered a bunch of different pastries. My favorite has to be the coconut puffs! I had one on my way back to the rental house. I had a cup of vanilla chai latte and it was the most satisfying paring yet! I also got a mango, pineapple and apple pastry! Which were also divine! Their cream puffs were also really good too! They have so many different pastries, it's hard to just pick and choose!

We are in Carpenteria for my kids "spring break" and wanted to go to a bakery. I was pleasantly surprised with all the options for bakery items. We live in Seattle and some bakeries cost a lot this place does not. My kids gobbled up the cookies. They have good danishes, turnovers, sweet rolls, etc. I would recommend going! They also offer burritos and other good options, but I didn't have time to try.

Back in June, my husband and I took a weekend trip to Carpenteria, we were looking in need for quick bite for lunch. We came across Reynaldo's, didn't look too busy, decided to try it. Lunch is served until 3 and the bakery stays open the full day. Got there right at 3:00 and they were happy to take our lunch order. The food and service were very good. They have a lot of bakery items, lots to choose from, everything looked delicious. Highly recommend to try this place when you visit Carpinteria.

    Delicious Huevos Rancheros, and beans.

Vacationing in sunny Carpinteria, CA this week. Great little places all over Carp., beginning with Renaldo's, Bakery. They also serve authentic mexican food for breakfast. I had the Huevos Rancheros this morning. Fantastic! Tables inside and outside. Smiles on all the faces of the nice Mexican ladies serving and cooking. Don't miss this little place right 0n the main street, just 2 blocks from the beach.

Chicken, bean, rice and cheese burrito

Reynaldo's will always be number one in my book! I was born and raised in Carp and this establishment has always been a promising go-to any day of the week. I have been craving their chicken, bean, rice and cheese burrito and finally went today for lunch. The girl behind the counter was so nice and you can't beat the price! They make their own tortillas and the ingredients melt in your mouth. Thank you, Reynaldo's! I will be back really soon!

They made the most beautiful and delicious cake for my friend's retirement celebration. Exactly what I asked for! Thank you Ana for your help!!

The outdoor seating was super cute with little steel tables and chairs, plus plenty of umbrellas for anyone sensitive to the sun. The menu was simple but had vegetarian options, and they also had a case full of bakery goodies that looked delicious. I ordered the white mocha decaf with oat milk and a breakfast sandwich -- both were really good! There wasn't too much interaction with the staff, but they kept the line moving and got the food out quickly. My parents are older and get cold easily, so we sat next to the fire pit. It turns off suddenly and we request it to please be turned back on as it's overcast and barely noon, and a waitress who hasn't been near us in 20 minutes says she smelled gas just now and had to turn it off. Translation: cheap management saw the sun coming out and wanted to save money. There was no gas smell. So classless. Even when we mentioned it again and asked, the glazed-eyes looking girl gave a slight remix of her "unfortunately umm due to me umm smelling gas umm we are not able to turn it back onnnnn." Is everyone who works here on meds or something? Coffee was terrible and watered-down, and simple premade sandwiches took 20 minutes to heat in a panini press and bring out. Food was very mediocre and my "poached" egg was basically hard boiled. The food tastes much better when you order online, probably because they actually know you have a set time limit to pick it up so they make it fresh and with effort. They just dgaf if you're seated, I guess. Just go to Lucky Llama guys.

However, my experience was disappointing. The two girls in the shop were almost asleep. One was barely conscious, the other was trying to make up for her. The chocolates looked very interesting, but they were rather dull-looking and often hard to differentiate because the display case had no lights. Add to this the already dim lighting of the store and that it was an overcast day outside, and it felt like trying to buy chocolates in an old library. As for the chocolates themselves, they did not taste like French/European chocolates at all; they had the very standard American chocolate taste-that is, Hershey-like and with no deep resounding real cacao flavor that is like bass from a speaker on your tongue. That's what real European chocolate tastes like. This was just sugar, sugar, sugar, and cute designs. Maybe they are using cheaper American ingredients rather than importing higher quality ones? No point in having the Eiffel Tower on your logo if you wouldn't be able to keep this store open in France. But the best part: the girl at the counter didn't let me try anything other than the three pre-selected types of bon bons on the sample tray! How cheap can you get? I've never had any chocolatier deny a sample of a simple truffle, especially not one with the gall to charge $3 per chocolate in a tiny town like Carp! $35 for a dozen, just to not even be able to try what you are putting in the box?
