I didn't want to wait to write this. Jesus just left our front door. Can I just start by saying BLESS YOU JESUS!! Literally!!!! He was so patient, wonderful, kind and empathetic to our situation. I was on the phone with our home warranty from 8 AM in the morning literally until 4:30 PM. They gave me the run around for hours and hours and I was nearly at a breaking point by the end of the day. They promised us they could get the issue resolved today and told us to be patient, but nope, it got pushed out each time further and further until the timeline increased to tomorrow. Keep in mind we were in 100+ degree weather and inside of the house was already reaching 90 degrees. Even though waiting for our home warranty would mean the service and repair would be free (since they agreed to waive the $75 service fee due to the delayed response), we decided to just go with Jesus after seeing the other company's poor reviews. When we scheduled an appointment with Jesus, he said his schedule was full for the day, but could get us in by tomorrow morning. We asked if he had a chance or if somebody cancelled, to please stop by sooner - we were desperate. 5:30 PM rolls around and he calls saying he's near our area and will stop by sooner. When we met him in person, we understood why he received such high ratings. He was in and out within half an hour and fixed our problem. He gave us tips to maintain our unit and took care of us. He even looked around to see potential hazards, and how to prevent them ourselves. He's a very straight forward person, and his prices are more than fair. I called someone else previously and they quoted me for about $500 to repair the damaged compressor, but Jesus quoted us for less than half that amount. Rey's Air was fantastic to work with. I reached out on Yelp to schedule an estimate to replace our HVAC pump on 5/20. The estimate was scheduled for 5/25 (3 business days later) and installation happened on 5/31 (3 business days later)! Cannot overstate how quickly they were able to get everything together, which included having the unit in stock (we were told there would be months-long waits from other companies), bringing out a huge team to complete the work (about 7 hours total), and contracting a crane to get the unit on the roof. Their price was the best out of 4 companies and Eric was extremely helpful and responsive. Rey's Air was aware that we would be replacing our roof about a week after the HVAC install. They sent a worker out the day after the HVAC install to reinforce the water-tightness of the temporary seal between the HVAC unit and current roof because rain is forecasted for the upcoming weekend. I asked Rey's Air Solution to take a look at my A/C unit to be sure it was working well before it gets really hot. Scheduling was easy and they had a Yelp offer for a maintenance visit. Adrian arrived during the window they set for the appointment and he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He took the time to explain and show me pictures of all the diagnostic steps, from cleaning the condenser unit to measuring all the amperages, temperatures, and acceptable performance ranges of the various components. I learned more about the HVAC system in 30 minutes with Adrian than I had in all the time I've used it. He had suggestions about things that could be replaced eventually but didn't hard-sell anything or make anything sound worse than it was- our 11-year-old unit is still working well and he said as much. Basically, this business provided one of the best customer service experiences we have ever experienced. Period. We were looking to convert our gas furnace and AC into a single heat pump system. Rey's came out promptly and gave us the best price out of multiple quotes, and we were sold by Eric's friendliness and expertise. On triple digit days, these companies can get extremely busy, but Rey's squeezed me in next morning. Jesus was extremely prompt and courteous upon arrival. HVAC Recommendation. I cannot recommend strongly enough the services of Rey's Air Solution. I chose Rey's Air and owner Jesus Castro because his YELP! reviews were outstanding. So many people wanted to give him way more than five stars. And now I know why! Jesus knows the Beutler/Villara HVAC systems and their proprietary equipment as he used to install them (and other systems too.) Beutler/Villara are the systems installed in a lot of the developments in Natomas where we live. He understands the pitfalls, how they work, what is normal wear and tear and what needs fixing. He also understands their business model. He is a great teacher too. Prior to having Jesus come out, we had Beutler out to check on why we are not getting good air flow into our home office. Beutler could not explain much to us about our system, including the "dehumidifier". Beutler could not tell us if it was connected or had been disconnected. Beutler showed us pictures of some rust on our coils and pan, explained that the one stage condenser that was installed by the previous owner was insufficient, and recommended replacing our entire system. The technician said they would not just replace the coils and pan. A sales/estimator came out and gave us quotes in the tens of thousands of dollars. Being a discerning and careful person, I had other people come out to assess and bid. One did not pull off the panels to look at the rust, but also agreed that the entire unit could be replaced, added that just the coils and pan could be replaced, or we could wait for it to break. Nice fellow, but I had to explain that the coolant was the new type. Jesus came out and thoroughly inspected and explained things to us. We moved into our home (built in 2003) two years ago and didn't understand our "two stage" system and the zones. Jesus was able to explain everything with drawings and reasonings. I had a lot of questions and he spent nearly two hours inspecting and helping us to understand that rust shows up right away on the coils and is not a concern until it starts leaking. That the coolant we have is the new kind so it is not toxic when it leaks. He could install a sensor in the secondary drip pan to detect any fluid once the first pan fails, and that the proprietary triangle boxes used by Beutler tend to create a turbine effect and thus ineffective flow. He also explained that all our bathrooms an laundry room are connected to a separate "dehumidifier" and how this worked off a switch in our laundry room. He explained that the bathroom fan in the guest bathroom was an add on by the homeowner. He said the "dehumidifier" was a requirement of the building code, but not really needed in this climate. It may be helpful when we shower, but who is going to go to the laundry room to turn it on before showering, or remember to turn it back off? But I digress. He did all of this without charge! This was all included in his free estimate! And he didn't try to sell us anything. Basically, he said not to bother changing anything, maybe install the sensor, and that he would come back out to look into the part of the attic space above the home office that was blocked off by huge sheets of plywood to make sure it was well insulated and to better look at the area above the office. At this point it was 7:30 pm, he had been busy all day with other jobs. We made him take $100 for all the teaching and assessing. My husband lovingly calls it the "wife tax" as I had many questions about our system which he answered to my full satisfaction. He came back out today and installed the sensor for $75. He then went behind the plywood to adjust one of the triangle boxes above the office in an effort to improve air flow. This last part was pretty involved. We will see if that helps, and if there is no improvement, he can come back out and replace the triangle box with something that is better. That part he did not charge us for even though I asked him to! I told him he should charge us for the time to make the adjustment to the triangle box as I was afraid he would go out of business giving his time away. He reassured me that he would be just fine. I am posting this to encourage you to use this man and his team for any of your HVAC needs. He is very professional, polite, always wore booties in the house and a mask. He is a good communicator, calling to let us know when he is on his way. He is hardworking and eager to expand his business. He is focused and enthusiastic about his work. Because it was an emergency and last minute they were going to try to get us in within 3 days and we were just so relieved someone even responded to us. I can't believe I haven't posted my review yet. I got my unit replaced in September 2022. My 20 year old unit died on my and I wasn't going to replace it since it was just me in my house and I'm fine dealing with fans and heaters. I can't say enough about how amazing Adrian at Rey's Air Solution is! He was the first technician to come out earlier this year for an AC tune-up. He was extremely thorough at that appointment, showing me photos, bringing me out to see areas on the units he cleaned and worked on and generally being all around friendly and knowledgeable. I ended signing up for the membership to have yearly service. Adrian came out again today for a furnace tune-up. At the AC appointment, he mentioned the furnace was throwing an error code and after I signed up for the membership, said he would deal with it at the fall tune up. Well fast forward to today, after some background I told him about issues I had had with this brand new furnace and the original installer, he took the time to diagnose the issue (quickly), troubleshoot and actually end up fixing the problem I had had for YEARS. He again was extremely thorough and concise in his explanation and brought me up to the attic to show me the equipment. The tune up appointment ended up being dedicated to this issue and I was shocked that I was not charged. He said he told me he was going to fix this issue at the AC tune-up and kept his word. Found these guys on r/Sacramento Reddit and there is lots of praise for these guys so next I went to Yelp, they checked out, so sent a Yelp quote request this morning and was immediately responded to and said he could send someone in the next few hours. This is the Friday before 4th of July, first heat wave of the summer, 105 today through Monday and my AC stopped blowing cold air, YIKES! Sylvester and Adrian came over, they were on my roof in a matter of minutes and diagnosed the issue; faulty capacitor. This is the best case possible. I was totally at their mercy and they could of told me anything and I would of had to pay for it. I'm sure ever repair is different so is the price, but to have 2 professional technicians, on my roof for an hour, and the part, it was $225. Sylvester showed me the new part before he installed and showed me the defective part that he removed, offered to let me keep it.
