Rey's Restaurant Sports Bar has something for everyone. The menu has so many different options. Burgers, wings, carne asada, empanadas, and the list goes on. Indoor and outdoor seating. & of course, a bar and lots of tvs. We went on a Friday night, and the crowd definitely got bigger and louder as the night went on. It seemed like the place to be on a Friday night as a DJ was setting up on our way out. Our server was amazing & even when it got busy, she made it a point to check in on us to make sure we were still good. Mom & I both enjoyed our meals and dessert. Highly recommend, whether you stop by for lunch or decide to hang out for the night.

GET REY'S BIRRIA PLATE. 10/10 I would eat it every day. The consumé was so flavorful, full of radish, onions and cilantro. The tortilla was crispy, the meat was SO good, and cheesy! Complimentary chips and salsa The service was great, very friendly bartender

Food is alright. Waitresses are just thirsty for tips and start adding you on social media for posts and more attention

We got out the car and we heard the music and it was bumping bumping bumping. We loved it from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. We were asked our drink order. We got margaritas and paleta shots and the paleta shots were yummy yummy yummy! We enjoyed ourselves and we appreciated them allowing us to stay inside until our Uber ride came. We will definitely be back. 10/10 recommend and it felt so family oriented. We loved it!!!

We had seen the place on Yelp and planned to grab something quick to go, but it turned into a great stop. The location is fantastic and convenient near the airport. The hostess was welcoming right away and directed us to the bar so we could place a quick to-go order. At the bar, the bartender gave excellent service and convinced us to try a couple of tacos along with the yuca fries and plantains we originally planned to order--and I'm glad he did. The Tacos Al Carbón were outstanding: grilled fajita beef with sautéed poblano and onion on flour tortillas topped with pico de gallo and guacamole. The steak was tender and full of flavor. The beans and rice were just right, and the plantains with coconut sauce were a perfect addition. The bartender also recommended a Stone Delicious IPA, which made the short wait enjoyable. We grabbed a Tamarindo agua fresca and bolitas de yuca for the road--light, flavorful, and perfect for the drive. Great food, great service, and a great find near the airport. Definitely worth stopping in.

A Home-Cooked Feel with a Few Rough Edges…read more My first visit to Dona Maria started on a positive note with a warm, friendly greeting that made me feel welcome right away. I ordered the Calisticas with chicken and the Pernil (braised pork). The crispy plantains were one of the highlights of the meal, providing a nice texture and crunch. The pork was tender and juicy, although I unexpectedly encountered a large bone joint in one portion. The chicken cups were less successful. They were noticeably oily and lacked the juicy, flavorful bite I was expecting. The standout flavor of the meal was actually the chimichurri sauce. It added brightness and depth, and I found myself pouring it over nearly everything on the plate. Overall, the experience felt very much like eating at a friend's home--comforting, unpretentious, and made with care. That home-style atmosphere extended to the food preparation as well, which appeared informal (I did see prep without gloves) and may not appeal to guests who expect a more polished restaurant experience. While there were some enjoyable elements, particularly the hospitality, plantains, pork, and chimichurri, the execution of several dishes was inconsistent. A decent meal with a welcoming spirit, but not one that fully lived up to its potential.

When we first walked in, we stood at the front door for about six minutes with no acknowledgment from any staff. It became obvious no one was coming to seat us, so I had to walk toward the back and ask someone if we could be seated. That should have been the first red flag. After finally being seated, it took nearly twenty minutes for someone to come take our order. Now, over an hour later, we are still sitting here without food. No updates. No apologies. No sense of urgency. This level of service is completely unacceptable. Waiting over an hour for food without any communication is ridiculous. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this restaurant based on the service alone.

I am in Dallas for work this week and I met up with a friend here tonight for dinner. I scoped out…read morethe menu on Yelp ahead of time and I knew I wanted some variety of steak dish. My friend suggested splitting a dish or two so we split the pupusas - there is an El Salvadoran restaurant I used to live by that does great pupusas so I was curious to compare. These were very good, and for $14, they could certainly be a meal. My friend got the tropical salad with shrimp and I got the Carne Asada. The chimichurri sauce was delicious and so was the steak. I'm not a huge fan of beans so I didn't eat those. Even though I did like the pupusas, I would say the steak was the star of the meal for me. For dessert, I ordered the Quatro Leches cake because I'm a huge fan of Tres Leches. This was good, but too sweet, my friend pointed out that there was some sort of frosting or something on top - maybe the fourth leche? - which made it sweeter. There were also pecans on top, which was interesting. I'm not sure I would order this dessert again here. I also got some sort of tropical drink, which was really good and my friend got the house Mojito, which at $12 is nicely priced I feel like. Overall, this place was pretty good and I would come back here, my friend did mention it's a chain, but I think it only has a few locations, including Dallas. Be aware that the entrance is on the opposite side of the road, and they also have a pretty nice patio, which is where we sat for dinner - a treat for me to dine outside in 65° weather in February, since I live in Michigan!

There's a nearby parking garage, which makes it very convenient. I had no problem grabbing a seat at the bar and ordered the nachos and a sangria. The sangria was well balanced--not overly strong like some of their other drinks, but not too sweet either, which I really appreciated. The nachos were a solid choice as always and didn't disappoint this time around. Service was great throughout the visit, making it an overall dependable and enjoyable spot.
