The RH rooftop is a great romantic, or chill evening setting for dinner, lunch or a wine with friends. Keep in mind, the cocktail menu is limited to a mimosa and a Bellini, so wine is your main alcohol choice. The attire says semi-formal, business casual, but there were more people in jeans and nice blouses. Definitely felt a little over dressed in a nice dress and my partner was in a sport coat. That may just be Sunday's vibe. Dinner was fantastic! We started with truffle fries - and like everyone said, GET THEM! The ribeye steak sandwich was AMAZING. The salmon was cooked medium and great as well. TIP: save some truffle butter from the fries for the salmon. CON: the limited cocktails, and you will be sat very close to another party. My friends and I came to this place to catch up and had a great time. It was a bit expensive, but the food was really good, so it was worth it. We visited RH Rooftop for the first time to celebrate a birthday. The ambience was great and the service was good. However, the food was overpriced and not a good value; the menu is also very limited. The food was decent, just not worth the price. Also, the seating was very segregated. We were one of a handful of people of color (POC) in the restaurant and all POCs were seated in the back, whereas all other people were seated in the front. It was not obvious to us where the valet parking for Restoration Hardware (RH) was located, but followed Waze, turning left off west bound Knox into an alley and then a quick right down another alley and there was the valet in the back of the RH building. The valet is surprisingly not complimentary by the way ($6). Taking the elevator to the third floor, we loved the atmosphere and ambiance of RH Rooftop. It is like eating in a garden among the hedges with great views of the city. There is also an outside patio option as well. Service by Francisco was perfect. He was attentive and helpful but let us set the slower pace we desired. We never felt rushed or unattended to when we needed something. Very cool looking bar, but no options to sit there as there are no stools or chairs. Our table was ready anyway and we were seated at a nice table (seating is very close to other parties btw). We were hoping for a cocktail to start the evening, but they do not provide any liquor/spirits. They only have a license to serve beer and wine. The wine list had a nice variety, but keeping with the theme, pricey (e.g., least expensive bottle of Cabernet was $225). We settled on a nice Spanish red at a more reasonable price. The first two bottles, the cork disintegrated while opening. On the third try, success. It was delicious. The four of us thought the food was good, but also pretty expensive for what was offered. They have a limited menu with only six entrees (3 sandwiches, 1 fish, 1 steak, and 1 chicken option). We began with crispy artichokes ($21 and not a fan as the flavor of the few artichokes with potatoes was missing with the crisp frying) and the delicious Delice de Bourgogne cheese with French bread and grapes. My wife loves and is addicted to this cheese, but a small amount at $21. I would say each appetizer we had was shareable for really no more than two. Moving on to our entrees...good, but pricey. The cheeseburger cooked medium (don't opt for more than that) was good, but not great as hoped for over $20 (fries add another $10, so expect a $32 cheeseburger and fries if you go that route, unless you add bacon and then you are in $40 territory). The roasted half chicken was excellent, but $38 for chicken? The shaved ribeye sandwich was definitely enjoyed, but the chicken seemed the best we sampled. read more

Finally went to Restoration Hardware for brunch! It is very conveniently located in the Knox Henderson Area. There is a lot of street parking available or they offer a valet too for a small fee. The restaurant was gorgeous and had great views. I will definitely go back there in the spring/summer time to enjoy the outdoor patio. The service was good. We got there right when they opened and were seated right away. The food could have been better but was okay. We started with the Délice de bourgogne cheese and this was delicious. I got the shaved ribeye on charred garlic bread. It was good but I did not taste any garlic and the bread was pretty soggy. My friend got the RH Burger with avocado and that was delicious. I had the shaved ribeye on charred garlic bread for my entree (it's basically a fancy steak sandwich). It was good, but slightly on the salty side for my tastes. My brother and his wife ordered the same things they ordered the last time they dined here (a good sign): the lobster roll and the salmon. I tried their dishes, of course, and liked them both. The salmon, in particular, was well seasoned and cooked; overcooked salmon is pretty common in my experience, but RH got this one just right. As for ambience, the dining area is lovely, as shown in the numerous photos that are on Yelp already. Some diners were dressed for the night, and others were in jeans. There's also an outdoor area with benches, foliage, and an open sky with a view of the city...a nice place to enjoy drinks and chat. We didn't even know they were charging that because they just offered it like normal water as we were first being seated. I was pleasantly surprised based on the 3 star yelp reviews. The food alone deserves 4.5 stars. Some of the hiccups is what brings the rating down. My white wine was a little warm but when I asked about it the server told me the white wine chiller wasn't working well and they had ordered a new one...so either people aren't going to complain about their warm white wine or white wine is going to be going back. I was surprised this is a beer and wine only place - no liquor. Service was just ok. The food was the star. And sadly I didn't get any pics of it but had the shrimp cocktail. Friend artichokes. Today was my first time at RH Rooftop. I and my friends are true foodies! The ambiance is gorgeous, food is amazing, and most of the service was great! My friends and I were there to celebrate an engagement and culinary competition win. We had 11am reservations. We ordered multiple drinks, appetizers, entrees and lattes! The food was AH-MAZING!!! Everything was perfect until 2:10 when the waitress became impatient that we were still sitting at the table after giving us our bill. She walked back & forth to the host stand and it began to feel like we were in a bad high school movie where the mean girls were looking at the other students, whispering, glaring & attempting to make them feel uncomfortable! My friends and I were talking and although we had received our check I was debating on adding additional drinks and possibly a dessert. However at 2:20, after a second round of whispering and glaring, we got the message that we were no longer welcomed! A manager walks over and says that they are very busy today and although an unfortunate part of her job, they have to prepare the table for the next guests. She then tried to make small talk asking about what we ordered and getting our guest experience. She then said we could feel free to enjoy the patio or other retail parts of the building. She was nice enough, but it put us in a poor mood and gave a negative ending to what was a perfect brunch! Everything was perfect until the end!! The waitress should have had the balls to say, "looks like you ladies are really enjoying yourselves. Would you like to continue your great time on the patio? It's really nice weather and I can have one of my colleagues bring you guys a menu and additional drinks or dessert." We could have gotten the clear message that it was time to move on and we would have ordered more lattes and dessert instead of exiting the building and leaving the establishment! Maybe we will return, but it will certainly not be soon. My friends and I value good food, great atmosphere, and stellar customer service. We are great tippers and great customers. I would suggest that senior management teach their front line associates and front line managers how to navigate their table turn over rates and client experience! When it comes to a predictor of my dining enjoyment, I'm not easily swayed by the size of the crowds flocking to a new joint, or even the rave reviews. I remember the donut mania when Krispy Kreme first opened in the metroplex. But somehow, I resisted the siren's call of endless lines of cars waiting to get a hot donut. Several years ago, when RH Rooftop first opened, reservation availability was tight each time I took a look at OpenTable. Since curiosity is one of my virtues, I took a sneak peek at the handsome new digs a few times after dining at other joints in the Knox street area and saw the packed tables and excited patrons. But yet, it wasn't until recently that I decided to pull the trigger and give RH a test drive. If you've read other reviews, there's no doubt that you know that RH is easy on the eyes. When it comes to ambience, RH is one of those places you take your out-of-town friends, Max and Edna, to wow them with the swankiness of Big D and that we don't all say "y'all" and "this ain't my first rodeo." But sadly, the menu doesn't match the quality of the urban sophistication of the restaurant's setting. And based on the overall reviews, one would have thought that the food would have been equally elevated. (But luckily, as I mentioned earlier, I'm not one to fall victim to the reliability of online reviews.) In my humble opinion, the biggest drawback of the menu is how narrow it is. There's only six entrees on the dinner menu with an equal number of sides. I settled on the roasted half chicken. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing stellar about it either. I'm certainly not crossing RH off of my rotation list. But, gazing into my crystal ball, I can't predict a date that I'll return. This place was an overall disappointment. From the customer service to the food on our table. We had reservations on a Saturday at 4:45 did not get seated until 5:00. The hostess and 3 other people were huddled around the iPad. They seemed like they were trying to figure something out...as if they had no seats available (there were plenty of seats available. I don't see or understand how this place appears to be booked on Open Table). We were seated in the back in an awkward area. It was one long booth the shape of a C with 3 tables inside of the C (if that makes sense) A couple was seated on the opposite end which I thought was awkward because we were pretty much sitting in front of one another....Eating. No one came to our table until 5:15. I even told one of the employees that no one had came to our table to take our drink orders & it still took awhile for someone to come. This place was definitely not under staffed btw. I also have to mention there was a party of 12 near us and they had about 5 servers at their table! Still not understaffed because I saw a bunch of employees walking around. Finally at 5:15 a waiter came and got our drink order. She let us know that she would be our server "for the time being". After we finally got our drinks a group of 3 people were seated next to us (mind you this is a long seated booth, very tight space) as they were being seated literally right beside us a server had their waters right behind them! Our food finally came out. An employee who was not a waiter (I am guessing she was a manager or something) was about to walk by our table but stopped to ask the table next to us how their food was and said very friendly, "Oh I'll come back and check on you all after you had a bite!" (in a very friendly, kind, welcoming voice) Then proceeded to walk halfway past us before acknowledging us, but because we were looking at her..she felt OBLIGATED to ask us how our food was. So she asked in a quick careless voice, "Hows your food." "Oh, it's good." We replied and she just walked off not saying anything else. We definitely felt like we did not receive the service others received. We felt we were not treated equally. They made us feel very unwelcomed. The food was mediocre. Definitely over priced. Finally got the chance to visit Restoration Hardware for an early dinner last week, and if you're looking for a gorgeous place to dine this is the restaurant for you. For those of you that don't know Restoration Hardware is actually a very chic, very very expensive furniture store. However, over the last few years select locations have added cafes/restaurants to enhance your shopping experience. Although, I'm not at the point in my life where I can buy my furniture from RH, I did see fit to splurge a little bit on dinner. While we were waiting to be seated, I ordered a peach Bellini from the bar. The Bellini was made with all fresh ingredients (no peach schnapps, thank God!) and it was very refreshing! For my entree, I decided to go with the shaved ribeye on charred garlic bread. The sandwich was served with Au Jus so ultimately it was just a fancy French dip. Taste wise the sandwich was everything I needed. I feel like the garlic bread was the subtle difference the sandwich needed to go from just "okay" to "omg get in my belly". A friend of mine ordered the Lobster roll, which she said was "very buttery and delicious". At the end of the meal the waiter brought everyone at the table a huge warm chocolate chip cookie, which in my opinion was enough to make me want to return in the very near future. With all that being said dining at RH is really about the experienceso if you're not ready to cough up the cash I would suggest finding a different restaurant to enjoy, but if you're looking for a more upscale restaurant to have your birthday dinner/brunch this is definitely the place for you. Wow wow wow! Dining in an atrium- what a dream! The entrance, the seating, the atmosphere, the waterfall, the linen seats which are vacuumed after each guest - I saw this with my own eyes... Despite what previous reviewers have said, we had an excellent experience dining at RH Rooftop! A new restaurant that opened a few weeks ago, I had to book about weeks in advance, right when they announced their opening date. They currently don't have bookings available online, but keep an eye out as they release more dates! We arrived a few minutes early to our weekday evening reservation and were seated right away. Our waiter (William, I believe?) was very polite, efficient, kind! I will note that he was especially attentive about refilling our glasses of wine, haha. We certainly appreciated him! As others have noted, absolutely BEAUTIFUL decor, from the first moment you step into the furniture store, through the intricately decorated stairs, up to the third floor where the glass wall-to-ceiling restaurant is located. I was glad we arrived before sunset and that the weather smiled on us, as we were able to enjoy our dinner as the evening drifted into night time and the blue skies shifted into darker hues. We ended our night by walking around the courtyard surrounding the restaurant and watching the sunset perfectly paired with a refreshing glass of wine. What we ordered: Drink: - Bottle of Scribe pinot noir rose (2020, Sonoma, CA): Very refreshing with a crisp, fruity tones (heads up - RH offers only wines and beer, no cocktails) Appetizers: - Artisanal prosciutto (grapes, warm baguette, cheese): I don't know what kind of cheese it was, but it was really good with the prosciutto and baguette! The salad was really refreshing with raisins, crispy seeds, plenty of cheese. All the textures and flavors that matched so well! The ambiance here is unmatched! I wouldn't say this a foodie haven, however the food is still pretty good. Some of my favorites were the garlic mashed potatoes, shrimp cocktail, and the grilled cheese. Our server John was AMAZING! I couldn't have asked for better service.
