My mom has been sick for a little while now, so I wanted to take my siblings out, and I decided to bring them to the movies. We wanted to watch The Odyssey, but unfortunately we couldn't because it was rated R. I'm 23 years old, my brother is 21, my sister is 17, and my other sister is 15. I've never had an issue bringing any of them in before, but the manager, whose name I don't remember, kept insisting that she couldn't do anything and denied letting my sister in. The only alternative she offered was for us to watch another movie. I understand policies, I work in customer service too but I've never met someone who couldn't even attempt to be a little flexible. Again, I've never had this issue happen before, and honestly, it really ruined what was supposed to be a fun day with my siblings. I just wish there had been more empathy, this honestly came as a surprise.

The staff as a whole has gotten progressively better over time, and they pretty much have the food and beverage delivery to your seat process down packed. The biggest difference between this particular Cinemark and the one just 3 minutes from here comes down to parking my opinion. Parking here is "Free 99", closer to the theater itself, and just downright more accommodating. That aspect alone will keep more people coming here.

I tried to be extra nice and give compliments to him, but he wasn't very nice nor kind at all. He had a nose ring, young and tall. Although, he did his job, He has no business serving customers due to his disturbing attitude. I'll say he was angry. Frown on his face, easily irritated and I dared not ask him for food. Tickets are $25 each and they have a $4 parking garage, but we were lucky enough to get a free after-hour meter on the street. It's a nice place and it seems like comfort is their top priority. The recliner chairs are extremely comfy and come with a blanket in case you get cold. You know how movie theaters are always chilly. Once you get settled, you can press a button that sends an employee over to take your order. It's completely optional. We got one small popcorn (light butter, $6) which was big enough for both of us. I like this idea of having the option of ordering and dining at your seat while watching a movie, but the reality is a bit different. It's kind of annoying to see the employees coming and going when someone needs a refill or places a new order during the movie. You can hear them talking and they can even block your view. It's frustrating when you are trying to focus. With that being said, I think it has more pros than cons. There are bars and bathrooms located across the several floors and the one we went to was exceptionally clean. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back to this theatre. I prefer something more standard like AMC or Pacific Theatres (RIP!)...

Last week, we attended a showing of Toy Story 5 at the theater. We learned that not only is the new ownership not offering food service during the transition but intends to abandon that amenity altogether. This is among the most foolish decisions that could be made from a business perspective and will undoubtedly result in a total loss on the owners' investment. The building has a gigantic kitchen going to waste. The screens are small, and the ticket prices are high. The sole reason people have chosen this theater over the numerous options (e.g. Century City AMC) is its special quality of in-theater dining and expanded, up-scale fare. It is absurd that the owners are trying to spin this as an improvement, claiming this unique feature has been "retired in favor of elevated food & beverage offerings -- designed to enhance your cinematic experience by reducing service-related noise, light and other distractions." No amount of polishing to the menu at the tavern will offset the loss of clientele brought on by the abandonment of the in-theater dining option. The owners need only look to the onslaught of terrible reviews streaming in across Yelp and Google or the consensus of complaints in the Reddit community to understand the extent to which this misguided approach will devalue their investment. They will certainly be losing our business until this irrational new approach is reversed.

I arrived around 4:40p and left around 9/9:30p the latest. Wasn't a long line nor was it a long wait while waiting in line. The even staff were friendly and professional. A backdrop was set up for pics. They also had a green screen set up so guests could take a pic and be digitally placed in a scene of the movie. I thought that was cool. They also offered free popcorn with a fountain drink. Ordered a "Ginger Margarita" at the bar before entering the theater. It was about $21 for cocktail. Wish I would've purchased the "Cutwater" instead. For $10 or $11 it would've been better sipping on that than the 21oz or 24 oz drink. Being that they fill the cup with ice, you're not getting as much of a drink as you think. Didn't have any issues getting thru and having my wristband checked. Was able to just walk on thru. The theater I was in was clean. Found a comfortable seat up top. The movie was better than I expected. The theater itself is really nice. I would come back.

This AMC is clean, beautiful, and spacious. The popcorn tastes different from other locations. I think other AMC popcorn tastes better, I don't know what they do differently here! It's not the butter, it's the popcorn itself. The staff are the stars of the location. Twice now, we missed our viewing times. Life happens! We worked with the guest services staff and they helped us move our viewing times. Of course, it helped that there were plenty of seats available during the time. Still, they were so kind and patient with us through the process. The process was also not easy because they had to print so many different receipts and verification processes. Nevertheless, they moved our tickets and we were able to have wonderful experiences. If they fix the issue with the popcorn flavor, this location would be a 5/5!

Although I couldn't stay for the actual movie, I attended a 70mm screening several years ago and remember the projection and sound being very high-quality, and the concessions being reasonably priced. The screen is just over 30 feet wide, so I recommend sitting in the front half for good immersion. The seats are the only downside, since they're traditional fabric, pretty rigid, and aren't tall enough to act as more than a back rest for many people. But, they're on a decent incline, so they should be okay comfort-wise and you'll have less chance of people's heads blocking the bottom of the screen (like at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica).

I was pleasantly surprised by some of the modern concessions they had, specifically the cans of LaCroix they were selling. Love it. This is located on a busy part of Wilshire. But don't panic. There's parking for you if you're stealthy. Right before you approach the theatre, there's a small side street called Holt. If you turn onto Holt, it's free residential parking all the way down (please read the signs though). Parking closer to the theatre on this street will get you one free hour of parking but if you park several blocks down will give you more time. Consider this option if you don't mind a bit of a walk. I hope to come here for more screenings in the future.

This location used to be called The Bridge, and way, way before that was an IMAX. Since this review is concerning the theatre itself, once inside I recognized the bottom portion of the old theatre, with the old top portion now seemingly gone. The CSA of this experience was Zarriah-pictured. She was a kind hearted lady who took my ticket, and directed me toward my particular theater house, but not before spending a good 10-12 minutes explaining the on going construction and planned new looks for this location. Thanks Zarriah-your a credit to the Cinemark brand.
