I want to fight everyone inside this place- don't play with me and my food. We were charged $31 dollars for this microwave dinner and the gag is that I told my bf when we pulled up that I didn't smell one scent of bbq or even saw a smoke stack of smoke. Maybe an off day but the food was less than great! The macaroni and cheese was just awful and the greens were just green. I am a true cook to my heart so this was disappointing because I started to buy my own meat, marinate, and fire up the grill. I gave them an honest college try but hell-to-the-no. After a day of fishin', the consensus decided to choose me as LORD and PURVEYOR of picking up good bbq. This is not a task for the meek. After consulting the gods, old and new (yelp,) I decided to try this lil' ol place in Alsip. I am a sucker for these Mom 'n Pop type of places, which seem to be going the way of the dodo. I called in the order, and set out for an adventure! I didn't have to wait a bit after calling in. The ladies inside were really sweet, annnd funny, and prompt. We ordered up some rib tips (with fries!), pork hot link (more fries,) and some mac 'n cheese and sweet potatoes for the baby and the vegetarian. The tips were reaaaally tasty, and they made me want to go back for a whole slab next time. The fries were hot , crispy, and the seasoning stuff they put on top is great. This place is great! I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to try it out! The food is phenomenal, the BBQ sauce is the best (and I'm not even a big fan of BBQ style cooking/foods). Definitely stop in and grab a bite to eat and take a menu with you so you can call your order in the next time! It does take a little while to cook (we waited maybe 20-25 minutes), but it is well worth it. The owners of this restaurant catered a birthday party that I attended this weekend, and OMG, all the food was delicious. I am not a big red meat eater, but I couldn't stop eating the rib tips. And the sauce is to die for. The greens, I had to break my rule and take a carry out plate, which I never do from someones house other than a family' member. I took a zip lock bag full of collard greens that didn't have an ounce of pork in it. They tasted better than the greens cooked with all the ham hocks, and fat back meat. I usually get indigestion from collard greens, but I had no problem with these greens. I wish I had taken more. I will definitely stop in whenever I am on the far-south-side. First time here. Waited 45 minutes for 2 rib tip and wing combos. There was only 1 other customer in there so I don't understand what took so long. Finally got home to eat the food I waited so long for, however, the bread they put on top of the food had 2 huge green spots of MOLD. Threw it in the garbage. First and last time for me. read more

You know what? I really liked the dynamic brother and sister duo here. They have been here for 2 years. They were really nice and broke down their menu, explained that items are made to order and gave me a sample. I ended up ordering a rib tip dinner with sides of macaroni and cheese and greens. The meat was very tender, the sides were tasty and the sauce had a nice balance of sweet to tangy. The prices were fair as well. I placed an order for me and my coworkers during lunch hours beause I wanted them to taste their good food. My family goes very Thursday night for tips and wings. I was supposed to pick the food up but couldn't due to a family member needing a ride to work suddenly. Instead of me canceling my order, they offered to deliver the food. Then I was left waiting an hour as I watched 4 people come in and order and still leave before me with large orders as well. When I got there, I told them I was a first timer, so they gave me a sample rib tip, a sample grilled wing, and they let me sample the regular and the hotbbqsauce. First of all... it was FYE! I pretty much sampled the menu in my order. I got the 6 wings (half fried/half bbq grill), rib tips, and a pork link as well. ALL OF THESE ITEMS were fye as hell!! And you know when you get a ghetto blessing.. we'll I had ordered only 6 wings but got 7! Amen! Lmaoooo the potato salad was REALLY good. I wish I had gotten a side of instead of the lil cup that comes with it. It was so damn good. The seasoning on the fried chicken was sooooo good. And the chicken from off the grill was nice and crispy just like I like it. I have PLENTY of leftovers because they gave me a lot of food so I have lunch for tomo. I will definitely be back! Really good food from a family that owns and operate the place. It's a little hole in the wall and you have to wait for you food.. but those are all signs of it being delicious. Oh and also.. the fries were nice and crispy!! I'm sure they prepare the grilled wings, rib tips, and links ahead of time (because that takes a long time to cook) but my food was good and hot as if it had just been cooked. Good bbq on the southwest side - came back to say that the wings ARE small but that to me is a good thing because 1. Smaller wings cook faster, reducing wait time and 2. This is the best rib tips I've had that I didn't make myself. They are juicy and flavorful. I usually get a large with just half of the tips in sauce. They really don't need any. And I have to get an extra fry for my 4 yr old, she's eat a large one by herself if I let her. read more

Finally some great barbeque in my neighborhood! !!!! My first time at Rib Bros was tonight. When my husband and I walked in the cashier asked if it was out first time and we replied "yes" and she went into the kitchen and brought us a sample of rib tips and greens, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The meat was flavorful and tender and the greens were the freakin bomb. I thought that was a nice touch. I have been going to Lems for years and have "NEVER" seen a customer treated with such consideration. We ordered tips and links and loved our food. Michael and his sister talked to us (giving us a little family history) while we were waiting for our order. Everyone was very friendly. Rib Bros proves that barbeque does not have to be cooked beyond recognition to the point of jerky to have the deep smoky flavor. I so wanted to like this joint. I love barbeque and to find a decent bbq joint by my house would be heaven. The people are wonderful. I enjoyed the wait because the conversation was delightful. I was offered a rib tip sample but something told me don't do it. Good call. I need to wash up and brush my teeth after. So I played it safe. I got a links dinner with macncheese and greens to go. The greens were perfect. I wish I could make em like that. Macncheese was to die for. But... the links. I'm not too fussy. It's bbq so there's a lot of latitude on the judgement scale. I get it. And it's not unusual for links to have filler/cereal/nonmeat content but seriously. Those links had a high percentage of nonmeat and you can't hide it with spices and sauce. IF i could give this place a zero I would. The ribs sucked, meat was red. the sauce was ok. When i first got there no one was there i rang the bell....... nothing again nothing... then i banged on it 5 times and a fat girl came to the door and said we will be right there. the ribs sucked,,,, the cowl slaw was in 2 of the smallest contaniers I have ever seen... I mean wtf thats a baby sized cowl slaw. the fries oh my goddness since when do you smoother your fires in rib sauce the fries were nasty all soft w bbq sauce on em,,,, yuck. oh and the lady placed 2 slices of bread on top of the ribs so both slices were all wet and nasty didn't wanna even eat it. I went in and ordered a rib tip and link combo I was asked right away if I was sent in from a radio station I told them no, I live two blocks from the place when I got home my food was lukewarm and tasted like chemicals and the meat was covered with a weird dark substance it seemed like the food was not freshly cooked I guess I should have said I was from the radio station and I would have received better quality food, I certainly won't be going back to this place I rather drive a further distance to get better food and not waste my money. read more

We went here the other night. Expected to wait since food is made to order. They had many people call in and pick up orders while we waited for our food. Took our food home. Bought link and rib tips. We asked for sauce on the side ( we received dry link and rib tips with No BBQ sauce) no French fries that were supposed to come with. Steak burger was very sloppy sandwich but tasted great.
