Wasn't sure what to expect when we pulled up at almost 9:00 on a Tuesday night. The place is small with three nice picnic tables outside. The two young ladies inside were very friendly and sweet. When they found out it was our first visit they hurried into the kitchen and gave each of us a rib tip to sample. Delicious! Smokey, sweet and peppery. We get the rib tips. We haven't had anything else unfortunately. I'm sure the rest of the menu is just as great. I'm not a french fry person but I always get fries here. A five star eatery would not serve frozen fries. Our rib tips were edible, but the sauce tasted like it came out of a bottle, and the rib tips tasted like they were baked in an oven a couple of days ago.. So, we did not throw them out, but we won't go back. Also, all of the sides were starches, except for the slaw, which they were out of. There were no baked beans (the traditional side with BBQ) and the wheat bread was a slice out of a low quality store bought sandwich loaf. read more

When they first opened I wasn't totally pleased with the way the food was served. They have changed a few things and I love the sauce and hot links. I've eaten at every BBQ joint in Chicago and I know good links. Would recommend the place. The tips are also tasty. My only complaint is I wish they used white bread instead of what seems to be wheat, just my preference. Ribs and chicken are also good. read more

The absolute worst customer service I've experienced from a restaurant featured on #chicagosbest. After waiting an hour orders around my number which was 82 started to get passed out. After 5 or so orders I realized that they skipped my number. I asked about my order and was told the ticket wasn't printed or something of that nature. So pretty much I needed to show my receipt so that they would know what my order was and begin to prepare it. The building is verrrry small probably enough room for about 8 customers to stand around and wait for their orders comfortably. Anything more than 8 people and it's gonna give you crowded night club. ( excuse me excuse me). Back to my order. So after waiting an additional 5 mins staff comes from the back with a brown bag and ask if I want sauce on the fries. Mind you I ordered a mini tip and $10 tip dinner mac n cheese and yams. As I instructed her on me wanting sauce on the tips and fries she then hands me the bag. Not realizing she only gave me a portion of my order. She went to the back to see where the rest of my order was and it was for what ever reason not ready. After a few more moments she tells me that I would have to wait on cornbread. By this time I was there well over an hour and 10mins. The tips were ok. The yams were very good. The mac n cheese wasn't great. If I were to ever go there again it will be after they relocate and retrain their staff on the importance of great customer service. The greeter wasn't welcoming and was struggling whike taking orders. In the future when I want some good bbq I'm going to stick with i57. Based off of my experience they get 2 out of 5 . I saw the review on Chicagos Best and decided to try the food. BIG mistake! They were totally unorganized with orders, the wait was over an hour. When I did get my food they screwed up the order and put the wrong sides and left out others. My bill was 101.45. I had to come back to pick up the missing items only to find out they had run out of them, There was no mention of trying to do anythingto fix the void. When I finally did tatste the food I was totally pissed off ! This was by far the worst BBQ i have had in a long while! The meat was not cooked completely, the tasted like someone dumped sugar in it, my entire family agreed this was not worth the trip or the cost. I will never go back!! This was my first time eating at this establishment and I was very disappointed. It was 6:00 pm and they were out of mostly everything. I settled on fried and bbq wings, sweet potatoes, macaroni and green bean casserole. The muffins were burnt and dry. The sweet potatoes was drowned in nutmeg, and the macaroni was dry with the absence of cheese. Contacted establishment and was informed they don't do refunds but will remake the meal. We got to Rib Bros at 7p on a Saturday night and we were happy to see no line. The menu has all the soul food faves I love.....rib tips, greens, banana pudding, fried wings, links... Who could ask for anything more? Let's start with dessert made by the owners aunt: amazing. It comes in a very generous portion. Smooth, sweet and creamy. The greens were quite yummy; smoky and a little bit of heat. I would have been quite satisfied with just this duo but I also had the fried wings and smothered fries in mild sauce. The spice on the wings were perfect. I like my wings a tad on the overdone side and these were perfect for me. The sauce was mild and had a small bite on the end. I have to say the seasoning on every dish was perfection. My husband had the rib tips and said they were just ok. He is spoiled because the best rib tips in the world are in Dyer at Hog Haven. It's hard to compete with those. I highly recommend the wings and sides. Very good service. The ladies at the counter were very nice and accommodating. A hit! read more

I hate to leave a bad review for this place but it is ridiculous. I have Literally been eating ribs since I was born I use to eat gristle when I was a baby. This place is a disgrace it looks nasty in there, when the people come out to take your order their fingernails are dirty and on top of all of that you never see them grilling anything? Where is the barbecue grill where is the pit? My favorite restaurant that sells rib tips is Lems on 75th by King Drive when you drive past there you smell the rib tips cooking. You can drive up and down Pulaski up and down 115th or 119th St. and you don't smell anything. What is the excuse? When I got the tips from there it seems to me like they are boiling them and then maybe putting them on a makeshift grill or something it is terrible. Stick to the rib tips - full of smoke, meat and deliciousness. I had a small tip combo with sausage the sausage was inedible because it was so dry and overcooked. The banana bread pudding was one of the best I ever had. I'm mad because I always told myself I'd stop here and finally did, don't make the same mistake I did. My sister and I really had a taste for bbq and we came across Rib Brothers. We almost missed it, since the place is small and unassuming. Even though it is small, you could smell the flavor emanating outside as we drove by. We ordered rib tips and boy were they good. The sauce tasted homemade and the tips were very tender. We were given samples of the rib tips and let me say they were the most tender flavorful ribs I've had. They were so good we decided to each order our own separate orders so that we didn't have to share with each other. Our orders included rib tips, hot links & chicken. Everything was on point. Only baby backs, rib tips, pulled pork and wings to choose from so don't get your hopes up for some spare ribs or some brisket. Upon entering we were greeted with a nice hello and a sample of their tips, which were moist and tender so I figured their ribs should be just as well. We got the full rack and I was very disappointed, they were over cooked and dry. The pulled pork was the same only drowned with sauce. The customer service is wonderful, they were patient & understanding while I looked over the menu. But I am not disappointed in the least. OMG!!!! The best ribs and tips I have ever had!!! The staff is the best!! This was our first visit and they let us sample just about everything in the menu!!! We were full after the samples!! We ordered a tip and chicken combo, turkey and pork hot links and baby back ribs, all with their spicy bbq sauce!!! The tips were soooo tender and flavorful, baby backs were falling off the bone as we picked them up!!!! We will def be returning here often, this is our new go to spot for bbq!!!!! read more

I live in the neighborhood, and had a taste for some good ribs. I was not disappointed, the ribs I purchased were the best I have ever had!! The you ladies were so nice, and kept on saying how sorry they were for my wait. I didn't mind waiting at all, as these two ladies kept me in good conversation. I brought home a pulled pork sandwich for my son, and he said it was delicious!! The French fries are also very good. I will definitely be back for more of these mouth watering ribs!! Let me tell you about our experience 4/2/15 with Rib Brothers . After traveling from the south side of Chicago to buy theses ribs, due to watching a review on tv was disappointing. When we arrived home we discovered that they had not put any sauce on our bucket of tips nor did they place any sauce to the side. We went back over through rush hour traffic after trying to call and keep get their answer machine. When we walked in the place was crowded. My husband spoke to a male who we later learned was the owner. He asked for the for a receipt which the cashier had taken from us when she gave us our order. However, the number was written on the bucket. He read the order back.when my husband stated it was correct. The manager became upset which was displaced by his facial gestures. A words were exchanged .the Manger correct the order but gave all customers a lecture on the dollar bill why waiting. When we got home the rib tips he gave us was dried out look like they had been cooked to long or leftover and some was tough and we pay for 4 wings only had 3 and they were cover in feathers. All we wanted was for him to apologize and correct the order.He never apologize for the error and for the distance we travel Because we did mention it. Restaurant is terrible when into get ribs 25 minutes later they come out to tell me you're out of babies I said you're out of babies what we are the babies I asked do you mean ribs yeah !!!! Really !!!!! Didn't offer me anything else didn't suggest I try something else then I had to wait to get my refund because the girl behind the counter was still taking care of customers will never go back to this place again !!!! Rib brothers is a good place for a quick bite to eat. The prices are very good and the quality is great as well. The food is seasoned very well, however I'm not too big of a fan of their sauce. The ribs fall off the bone and are very tender. I will visit them again. read more
