Now and again, you find yourself eating somewhere only to be reminded why you don't eat there. The Wife and I found ourselves in Siloam Springs at a funeral, and on the way back, needed a bite to eat. After pondering the choices (or lack of) in Siloam, and seeing Rib Crib just ahead, The Wife decided she could do with some pulled pork and bologna for lunch, her main BBQ favorites. After arriving, we waited several minutes for the hostess/server/bartender to finish up the drink order she was working on to get around to seating us. Not off to a good start. I suggested to The Wife that maybe we should just leave... should've heeded my own advice. When we were seated, we were promptly advised they were out of pulled pork, citing supply chain issues. Odd that you could probably walk into any butcher shop or grocery store and get pork butts all day long. At least I can in Tulsa. Adding to the insult, apparently Rib Crib doesn't have bologna on the menu. Of the half dozen people I related this little tid bit to, every one of them said "What kind of BBQ place doesn't have bologna..?" Indeed... good question. So The Wife opted for the breaded chicken tenders, mashed potatoes and okra. For myself, I went against my better judgement and got the half rack of ribs, mashed potatoes and a side salad. Without getting down in the weeds, suffice to say the best part of the meal was when we left knowing we won't ever have to go back. The chicken tenders were godawful. Obviously some of Tyson's less flavorful pre-frozen offerings. Dry, bland and just not good by any measure. The potatoes were borderline at best, and just edible. Her okra was horrible as well. She compared the meal very unfavorably to hospital food. My ribs were close to the worst I've ever had, only exceeded by a crap hole in Concordia Kansas and my local Chile's. Dry, devoid of flavor of any kind, the best part of the rib was the sauce I put on. Our server was about as disinterested as you can get, and aside from keeping my iced tea topped off, added little to no value to the experience. I honestly think places like Rib Crib stay in business because people just don't know what GOOD BBQ is supposed to taste like. I've heard they make a pretty good hamburger, but so do any number of hamburger joints. The one good thing to come out of this debacle was The Wife commented that she now understands why I get so irritated when we get a bad meal. Under staffed stood at hostess stand for 16 min then had to wait for seating staff to go clean a table. Everything food trash etc just raked off on to floor where we had to sit. Waitress was incapable of multitasking food came out barely warm 1 plate had wrong meat. Took another 7 min to get it back corrected still only warm waitress never came back to table so we sat with empty drink cups the entire meal. Finally brought over the check then it was 21 minutes before she returned to cash me out. All that being said I still got to pay $54 so unfortunately I cannot give negative stars but suffice it to say never again...EVER! read more

Used to be a favorite place. When I got my food it looked good. Dirty deed plate. The mashed potatoes and green beans were very hot. However the green beans were so peppery I didn't eat more than a cursory taste. The bread was almost room temperature. Of the 3 meats only the rib was warm enough. Maybe because it was solid or because it was between the other 2 meats. The center of the 2 side meat were so-so, but the edges room temperature. I asked the waitress to reheat them. "Ok" was her response. I don't think it was my waitress, whom never asked how things were. Since I drove half an hour, I probably won't be back. read more

Never had an issue with this location when it comes to food. But don't bother calling their curbside number when you pull in for pick up orders. They'll never answer their phone - busy or not. So expect to go in to get your food. read more

This is my "hometown" BBQ place, even though it's a chain restaurant. I have had several good encounters with the staff each time and I keep coming back for the delicious food! I want to tell you about an experience I had today with Linda the hostess who seated me and my guests... I have not been feeling very good and my tummy has been uneasy for a few days, but my husband and I had a very important lunch meeting for our Non-Profit that I had to be at. I asked Linda if she could ask someone at the bar about making me a flavored seltzer water to help settle my stomach. Linda was a darling and did what she could to bring me a lemon spritzed, iced, "bubbly" drink, and then kept them coming candidly through the meal! My guests (from abroad) raved about the food, we had a wonderful time! Even though this is a chain restaurant, I really love the ambiance and home-town feel you get in there. As we all know first impressions are everything. This is our first time eating at this establishment, we walk in between 1:30 and 2 p.m. We are quickly seated but on our way from the entrance to our table there is food, garbage, trash, crumbs..... everything you can possibly imagine from the entrance to our table on the floor. It looks like either they had a mad rush during lunch or nobody has vacuumed or swept the floor since the morning. With all that said we ordered. Our staff was very nice our food was amazing!! and we will definitely be back. I would recommend eating here because the portions are large and the food is delicious. This was our first time eating at a RibCrib. We usually don't do bbq chain restaurants but we had a craving for some bbq tonight. FYI, this is not just a bbq rib place. They also have a nice selection of slow smoked meats to choose from. The smoke flavor is not overwhelming but just right. Tonight was the first time for me to try a Fried Pickle. Very tasty and if you've never had one, try it. Food: Meats are slow smoked on a bbq. And slow smoked means the meats are moist & juicy and not dried out. Hurray for moist tender meat!! They have a variety of delicious bbq flavors to choose from too! I had the 2 meat combo of chicken and brisket. The chicken was very moist and tender and the brisket was the best I've had in awhile. Nothing beats Canters in the Jewish Fairfax district of LA though for Brisket. The RibCrib does have wonderful variety of sides to pick from to go with your dinner. I picked the green beans and a fresh crisp salad for my sides and I savored every yummy bite. Service; We had great service. Our waitress was friendly, great to talk to, took dirty dishes away as soon as someone in our party finished, our drinks were kept filled, she was totally on point! I had the baby back ribs and sliced brisket, my date had pulled pork, links, and st louis ribs. All the meat had a nice smoke ring and was super tender. Nothing was dry. Flavor was good but was missing something. Sauces and sides mostly sucked. bbq beans and slaw had too much sugar and were mushy. Fries were just ok. The was no bold/smoky sauce just sweet or hot. Both sauces tasted like generic grocery store sauce. Typical problem for chain bbq. Ice tea was great. Dessert was lousy. The cobbler was a doughy and syrupy mess. Great food (usually) and they often have good service! We ate at this location the 2nd night it was open and ate there about 8 times in the first 3 weeks they were open... That might be an indication of how much we enjoyed it! ;) (wink) coz it IS good!! My low down on the dishes I've eaten: LOVE the brisket! Good, well seasoned fries. They have a really good cheese dip and the chips served with it were very light an crisp! Onion rings were fair... Not bad but not great. Mac & Cheese is ok (mushy pasta) but it'll work for comfort food. Potato salad & coleslaw were fair - not bad but I'm picky. Both style of beans have tons of meat and are highly seasoned (one is too hot and spicy the other is too sweet IMHO). Fries are well seasoned. Fried pickles were the worst I've ever had and I love fried pickles so I've had a LOT!! Theirs are tough, too much breading and way, Way, WAY too salty!! Yuck!! My sister had the chicken quesadilla salad and really enjoyed it - LARGE portion!! The tortilla roll ups in it were tasty! Big drawback - very few vegetarian options - I know it's a BBQ place but it would be nice to see more veggie safe choices! Service is usually pretty good... But ranges from - where are they? I almost always order a sliced brisket sandwich - I like slices NOT chopped slop and one of the burnt experiences when we asked for management (seriously, who would eat, dry burnt meat?!?) even the manager thought it was chopped (I had only lifted off the top bun - no eating had been done). the TACO BELL OF BBQUE!!! nasty but its all this town has for bbcue. 2 stars only because its the only bbcue in town. the ribs are dry and small, and the membrane on the rack isnt even removed, so theyre chewy. the real test for us came when we brought the rest home and refridgerated them. the next day, the ribs were basically inedible. so i dont know what chemical they had on them, but bbcue they arent. sorry but this place is so commercialised its not bbcue, for sure because its in Arkansas and we expected much better, but theyre a chain, sooooooooo read more

I had the brisket and ribs, both of which lacked the traditional smoke ring that hallmarks great barbecue. The dry-rubbed ribs were fall off the bone tender, and the brisket was too tender for a fork. Together that implies a wet-heat finish, which can isn't a cardinal sin but steals some flair. The pulled pork that my son had was a touch bland, and my brother reported a "weird mouthfeel" to the chicken. Nothing shockingly good, but I've certainly had worse. Value: 3 stars. This place is a bit pricey, to be honest. The portions are plenty but not staggering, and virtually everything carries a double-digit dollar sign. Impressed! I always leave room for improvement but it was close to perfection the night we went to dine in. The waitress was very attentive with great recommendations. It was exactly what we were hoping for after a long exhausting day of work. We didn't know what to expect as neither of us had dined at a Rib Crib before, and we are "bbq snobs" because we are from Memphis. We honestly weren't expecting much from a chain restaurant, but wow! The food was great. We ordered chicken nachos to start with, which were delicious. For my entree, I ordered chopped brisket and pulled pork, with sides of mac and cheese and potato salad (What can I say? I love my carbs!). He ordered some kind of combo with a few types of meat, including chicken breast. We both really enjoyed our meals. They had 3 different bbq sauces at our table, and my favorite was called the Carolina. The service was great, and so was the food. I can't wait to go back! read more

We tried a multitude of sides including mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, onion rings, and fries. We had a good lunch here on a Friday. Not a fan of other locations of the chain, but we tried it out since it is close to home. We sat outside since the dining room was full. The tables out side are not entirely sturdy, and the chairs were not awesomely comfortable, but we were ok. Don't bother with the chips and salsa, they were not great, but the pulled pork tacos were very, very good, and the hamburger my wife got was huge and very good also.
