First time trying rib crib and the host and waitress was very nice welcoming with tips on the menu that are a top favorite pick. The prices were alittle high but we got 4 items - 1-the spud with turkey it was very good. 2-kids chicken strips were good. 3- the crib side burger it was great! It's been several years sense we ate at Ribcrib. So while we were in Owasso we stopped by to give it a try around four o'clock. This time of a work day is usually not busy as it falls between lunch and dinner times. However this restaurant was busy. We were greeted at the door by a friendly hostess who led us to our booth. And promptly greeted by our server (Xander). We ordered chips and queso as an appetizer. My wife ordered the Super Spud with a side salad. I ordered the three meet combo of Hot links, ribs and bologna. With fries and onion rings. The queso and chips appetizer was a large and tasty order. My wife's Super Spud was huge with lots of chopped brisket and cheese. Her salad was also a large bowl of fresh, crisp vegetables. My BBQ was tender and tasty as well as the onion rings and fries. The problem with chain BBQ places is at a point they start to centralize their meal prep. Meats are smoked centrally, refrigerated or frozen, and shipped to distant outposts. This Tulsa-based regional BBQ operation has so far resisted that. You can smell the smoke when you enter and taste it in the meat. Hot links had the right amount of pepper heat and brisket was smoky, retaining a bit of cooking moisture. Sides were also satisfactory. Service is good. Food is not. My favorite thing to get at a BBQ place is chopped brisket and I don't like the way they chop it or the way they prepare it. I love Billy Simms chopped brisket. I tried to get a spud onetime and they were out. I ordered a blueberry cobbler and it was all dough with very little berries. Rib Crib is a chain I've been to a handful of times. The last time was on 06/27/13. The sauce tastes like high fructose corn syrup. It's very sweet. The meat is nothing to write home about and the sides are palatable. There's nothing special about the food here although the service is decent. Stopped in because I wanted something different. Grabbed the smoked queso with shredded beef. I didn't mind it. Although next time I will just get the BBQ. It didn't really takes like smoked queso in my opinion. For it to be BBQ salsa, it was delicious. It cost around $8 bucks. The lady at the drive thru window was nice and make conversation. I called it in ahead but was still able to use the drive thru which was a score. While I only came in contact with one person, she did not have a mask on. I went thru the drive thru lane and ordered two three rib dinners to go. The ribs were about 3" long and one was more of a burnt end. The coleslaw was warm and not crispy but like day old cabbage. The baked beans and okra were very tasty. The service lady was very pleasant and did a great job. We were just very disappointed in the size of the ribs. Two of the three ribs were tasty but they were half the size of the ones at Trails End and not as moist. I have had way better ribs then this. However, for a chain bbq place, the ribs was actually not that bad. Ribs are the most consistent meat here. The brisket however is hit and miss. I placed my order and pulled around to window. She took my payment and had me pull around to wait for the order. I waited 25 minutes!!! I am getting pissed at this point. I decide to get out of the car and at the point she brings out my order with a shitty attitude and just says "sorry for the wait" with no explanation as to why it took so long. I then get home and the order is WRONG AND COLD!!! I ordered the chicken fried chicken dinner with mash potatoes gravy and green beans. There were NO mash potatoes, the chicken was dry and cold. The gravy was gross and the green beans were slimy. This is absolutely unacceptable! I have never received such horrible service! I will likely never be eating at RibCrib again because of this. After I paid at the window a car pulled up behind me and ordered fried, sliced brisket and fried okra. I waited 11 minutes for an order that didn't need any cooking. They brought the person's order in the car behind me when they brought mine. They made me wait for my order while they fried the fries and okra for the car behind me. This is not the first time this has happened...I will not go back. When I told the manager that for me to have to wait so they could bring both orders at the same time is not good customer service he just laughed. I just want to say that our Rib Crib in town went above and beyond Sunday 9/27/2020 while I was there with my family! My son is ADD/ADHD and cannot sit still so we don't get out much especially to restaurants. It was a suprise for us to go out with family from out of town and we chose Rib Crib. Our server Lydia H. was amazing and went above and beyond to help me with my son. She helped me with him so I could also enjoy my meal. He ran all over the restaurant, he kept running outside and wouldn't stay still. The other staff there also were absolutely amazing and instead of being frustrated with my son or with me, I got so many kind words and understanding with him and it made me feel not so overwhelmed. It means a lot to me to have people in our community who are so loving of others and just understand.
