I'm getting hounded for bills I know I paid. I moved well after going to this lady and thought nothing of it, knowing that I paid for my services. I've checked my records and these geniuses never bothered to email me a single bill until a year later (I got NOTHING in the mail). I went here in April 2022 and I'm getting calls from a bill collector two years later (ironically never got one from Dr Benz' office to clear this up either despite them giving the bill collector my cell) Never had trouble with a doctor and their billing department before. Ive been going to Dr Benz for years and while the doctor is great I may have to switch doctors just because their billing is ridiculous. I get an annual Pap smear and it's completely covered but this year I was charged $40 for my office visit and another $40 for the Pap smear testing (from labcorp) so $80 for a visit that is supposed to be no charge. And I asked the billing why and she said it's because I asked the doctor a question during my visit so it's considered an office visit. WTH. I thought the point of an annual is to go over any concerns or ask questions. They also charged me $25 twice for one missed appointment when I canceled the appointment days in advance. This has happened to me before throughout the years but I always just paid and let it go but this is something that definitely needs to be brought up. read more

Dr. Benz was very thorough and I love that I could get through to the front desk staff without having to deal with a teleprompter. Dr. Benz was personable, understanding, and thorough with my annual exam. Her office was extremely clean and not full of people in the waiting room which is almost unheard of these days. She goes over your blood results line by line to be sure you understand exactly what everything means and gives detailed instructions and recommendations for how to be as healthy as possible. She is the first doctor to do that and she is very much appreciated for explaining things in terms I could understand! Highly recommend for that old school personable feel as well as the latest and greatest technology and scientific procedures on the market. read more

Please look through google reviews as well. There are more than a few clients who were very upset here. I'm just going to go over my experience the few times I have been there. First consultation was great. No complaints. Very kind and descriptive. Second, their system was down. Basically, only talked to the Doc. Nothing was done. They had no access to patient charts etc. Understandable. They ordered an additional test to be done a few days later. Third, I return for that additional test. They state it's already been done and was noted in the system, but not in the drs notes (meanwhile the tech who was so nice during the test was now staring at me with her arms crossed repeatedly indicating this was already done)..I came because I was told to. Not for false accusations. No need for all of that. Was essentially turned away for nothing. So I missed work for absolutely nothing.. Nothing can be done about that right? Annoying, but it happens. Moved on. Fourth, most recent, yesterday. Before I even went in, I asked if it was absolutely necessary that I come in since it was only regarding blood results (results that were already reviewed and explained by another doctor the day prior which I told them about this twice) & they indicated she wanted to still see me before giving me the name of the referral...peeved, but showed up. Appointment was at 2:40 - got there at 2:30 & waited in the lobby until 3:10. Was placed into a room and waited until 3:35...waited an entire hour to go over results that were already explained to me. They asked me to wait 5 more mins. I told them I can't. They still told me to hold on and wait. They returned & said they would just call me. I ended up leaving because I had a family emergency. They did not call. Maybe communicate more with your clients so they don't request work off, waste gas/money for gas, pay for parking, find sitters and pay for them too, & wait for an hour for something that really could've been done over the phone or even email. Also, if the doctor is running late, let us know so we can make arrangements for life outside of our appointment. Also, I saw someone mentioned on yelp that YOU have to contact the lab to get results..the Staff here does not call you. This was the case for me as well. I went to see Dr Benz, because I had not been to a gynecologist in 5 years, and really dont enjoy going but it's a must, I'm 56 yes old and also been feeling very tired and no energy so she is doing some hormone test to see what's going on with me, and I personally felt so comfortable with Dr Benz she is caring gentle and patient, She listened to all my question and answer all of them, and frankly she took the time and I felt like she wasn't in a hurry like most Doctors. I found Dr Benz when looking for a 2nd opinion for a outpatient surgery with another doctor. After consulting with her, she was able to do the procedure in the office and no outpatient surgery was needed. She was very skilled and walk me through the procedure. I can't believe how quick the procedure was. She saved me the emotional headache and so much money from my unnecessary surgery. She is willing to listen and not rush you out the door. Waiting time for each appointment has been no more than a few minutes. The office staff and office is very organized and clean. They always call to remind you on your appt a day before. So far a great experience and would highly recommend if you are looking to switch. read more

My wife, our daughter, and myself are all patients of Dr. Benz. Not only is she very good at what she does, she is a caring practitioner that always offers as much time as needed to answer questions. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. When you walk into the office you are always greeted with a smile. They take appointment times very seriously, so waiting to see Dr. Benz for any length of time is extremely rare. I can not say enough good things about Dr. Benz! I just so glad I found her and her high quality office staff. From the beginning of booking my appt to being seen in the clean and inviting rooms, everyone was very nice and knowledgeable. She is truly easy to talk to, listens to your concerns, and presents information in a non-threatening way. Plus I traveled from far away to see her and she was kind to do a phone appointment so I didn't have to spend a day driving just for results. I've gotten gyn exams every year since 18 and you'd be surprised what majority of dr's don't test for, even in sexually active adults. I started seeing Dr. Benz last year when I was having urinary difficulties that were making me miserable and robbing me of sleep and sanity! My PCP wanted to refer me to a urologist. I hesitated because I felt the problem was most likely gynecological. I made an appointment with Dr. Benz after doing a little online research to find a doctor that could address both urological and gynecological issues. Dr. Benz got right to work to find the cause of my symptoms. Many of the tests and procedures were available in her office including the ultrasounds that I needed. I did not have to wait weeks or months to get scheduled for a test. My tests were usually done within a week of the doctor's order. When I was feeling my worst, Dr. Benz was able to to fit me in for same-day or next-day appointments. Within 3 weeks of my first appointment, I already had some answers for my symptoms. I did require a surgery, which Dr. Benz performed. The surgery went well and I felt so much better! The office staff is always kind, helpful and efficient. Dr. Benz is by far the best gyno I've seen. She is very thorough in reviewing your overall well being. She respects your opinion and doesn't try to pressure you into anything. I have had so many doctors try to pressure me into treatments for my endometriosis that I am not comfortable with. Dr. Benz is the exception. I had gone to Dr. Benz for years and had no issues until recently. The last time I visited, she highly recommended that I take a series of tests because she was worried about a particular issue. Come to find out, these "tests" are in conjunction with a hospital across the country and had an exorbitant price tag. When the results of these "tests" came in, I realized that they were completely unnecessary and frivolous (which was verified by another doctor when asked for a second opinion). They had nothing to do with the issue that she cited and I was stuck with the bill. There was no transparency regarding the potential cost and the actual purpose of the tests and I feel that her office is taking advantage of patients and "up-selling" them on completely unnecessary procedures. When I called the office to explain this, they turned it around on me and stated it was my fault for agreeing to the tests, even though the Doctor did not explain that they were not routine nor that they had the potential to be very costly. They were completely unhelpful and I think that this borders on malpractice. They have broken my trust and I am extremely disappointed. I will not be returning. read more

I had similar experience as Jennifer O. as well. In 2016, my two teenage daughters and I went to Dr. Benz for a routine physical. We're in excellent health. We have no past history of any health problem. The doctor ordered lab work. I didn't think much of it at the time. Two months later, I received the 'explanation of benefits' (EOB) from our insurance company, Anthem Blue Cross. I was astonished those ridiculous amount of lab work. Dr. Benz, who is part of our insurance plan network, sent us to LabCorp (is also in net-work lab) for our blood work. However, Boston Heart Diagnostics billed Anthem total mount of $11,061($3,636/$3,636/$3,789.) I returned to the doctor's office and asked for an explanation. I was told by a staff that I don't have to worry, I probably won't be billed for that. I also contacted Anthem to question the EOB and I learned that Boston were billed for more complicated version of the tests, many were medically unnecessary. There is no credible reason to be ordering all those specialized tests for a routine physical. Dr. Benz, she is a gynecologist, not a cardiologist. I wonder why she didn't send us to a cardiologist if, indeed, we had heart disease. Also, I wonder why the doctor had ordered more tests(Boston billed Anthem total amount of $2,244) even after we stopped seeing that doctor. I've lost all respect for Dr. Benz. read more
