My experience with Southland Urology and Dr. Harjiavn Kohli was terrible. If your Primary Care Physician refers you to this office, ask for a different referral. From my first visit, I felt a lack of urgency concerning my condition, and this same lack of urgency permeates the admin staff. I relocated to another state during my care, flying back twice, and needed a referral to a local urologist in my new state. That simple request took 4 weeks, multiple calls and texts. Initially, I was told that Dr. Kohli didn't make referrals. Convincing the staff otherwise was laborious. They don't use MyChart, unlike many physicians associated with Providence. This will force you to deal even more with Southland's painfully slow staff. My final post-visit summary with Dr. Kohli bore little resemblance to our conversation. It read like it was generic prostate follow-up visit text that could be used for multiple patients. Time saving for the doctor, not particularly useful to the patient. If you have the misfortune of needing a prostate biopsy, I highly recommend that you a seek a provider that does a better job with managing the patient's expectations of the procedure and pain management during the biopsy. Better yet, Google the procedure before hand (I did not), to understand that "collecting samples" means 12 of them, something I was wholly unprepared to sit through. You should also bring slip on shoes as you'll be in no condition to sit down and lace your shoes afterwards. This simple little tip would have been useful to include in the single page "Instruction Sheet" that Southland provides pre-biopsy. Also, don't expect a follow-up call from Dr. Kohli after the procedure to see how you are doing. Of course, if you've read this far, you could have predicted that. read more

I really liked Dr. Tygenhof, seemed to really communicate with me even though I'm sure he's seen these symptoms many times. I have been seeing Dr. Tygenhof since 2017. I have more UTI's than normal. My husband developed bladder cancer about a year ago so we have been seeing him a lot! The bladder cancer is in remission and hubby sees him about every three months for treatments and will for the rest of his life. Dr. Tygenhof is the best medical doctor I have ever been to. He has a talent to explain everything very clearly and you perfectly understand what you need to do. He is 40 and smart off the charts and has a fabulous temperament and personality and a sense of humor. I would give him 8 stars out of 5. If you need a urologist he's the doctor to see!!! read more

at the age of 79 I got the procedure known as Aquablation And the results were better than I had expected. zero pain throughout the process a one night stay in the hospital then back home the next day. They don't care about patients and their front disk employee she is very carelessly and she doesn't know how to take care of patients have been waiting for appointment more than one month and have . The problem started when I have an appointment on last month December and I was delayed for 5 minutes and the refused to take me and then rescheduled me to January 08 at 3:15 pm I went there at 15 minutes before and I signed and kept waiting and she never called me and many patients stepped in they came after me then I asked her what is going on? And she said you have no appointment scheduled today and it was canceled And I asked her who called it she said I don't know. She tried to reschedule me again and I refused because I was really really mad because wasting my time for kept me waiting over two month waiting for doctor to diagnose my status and give a treatment it was really a nightmare to deal with southland clinic in Yorba Linda. read more

This is only based on the support team and office staff. Dr. Gazzaniga gets five stars from me. He knows his stuff and will take care of you. On the other hand, his staff and office staff are one of the worst I have ever interacted with. They are as warm as ice as friendly as a rattlesnake and as polite as a drunk. They have forgotten who the patient is! If they were in my field of work, all of them would have been written up or let go. Doctor's office cancelled my vasectomy surgery 24 hours before due to a clerical error on their end. Then just wanted me to reschedule for a brand new consultation and new surgery date. TIP: If they cant do paperwork right or track important dates, don't let them cut open your scrotum. Found a new doctor and hope they can actually keep track of things. Note regarding response: both the staff member and manager at the practice personally admitted their fault in causing this issue. They also indicated the doctor was very upset this had occurred. Yet he jumps on yelp to blast his patient. It must be hard for a young doctor to understand how it might be hard for a father of three with a baby on the way and two jobs to schedule a surgical appointment. read more
