First time coming here after seeing it exiting the freeway so many times. The customer service was amazing, the chef gave me a history of the restaurant and even gave my party water lemon while we wait which was nice. The food I give it a 4/5. The undercarriage of the pizza could have been more crispy because everything fell off but the taste was amazing.

We went to Marinos with some friends last night. When we walked in, we were greeted by the server who took our names down. While they were busy, and the wait was a while; the server offered us water and any drinks upon entry. The inside of the restaurant, gives you a traditional vibe. There's plenty of booths that are not overly crowded. The food itself was just your typical Italian food, Not anything noteworthy. We ordered the Chicken primavera. The food itself came with bread, soup, and salad which was nice considering we were hungry. The soup was flavorful and I lauded noodles and vegetables. The salad, was good, I really enjoyed their dressing. The chicken primavera was okay, I wish it had more flavor. The parking was difficult because they only offered one small parking lot. However, there's plenty of street parking. -1 star for parking situation

This is a blast from the past. The ambiance of this restaurant will take you back to the roaring 20s of the 1900. We were greeted pleasantly by Mari who turned out to be our server as well. She allowed us to choose our booth. My wife and I decided to share the lasagna entrée and our daughter, who we were selling her birthday with, ordered chicken piccata. Both entrées come with a Turin of soup and a salad. Also serve garlic bread toasted. We also ordered calamari that is served with red sauce. We all agreed that the food was delicious. The chicken piccata was seasoned with Irv and olive oil, and the chicken was tender. The lasagna was stuffed with ricotta, cheese and beef, the marinara sauce is a little bit on the sweet side. All in all, I would recommend this restaurant.

For years I would go to Mariano's, but our 3 years of shutdown ruined my loyalty to many businesses including Mariano's. On Thursday I stopped in on a business appointment, the owners were so nice and focused. I committed to come by and try the food. What an amazing experience!! The staff were very happy, polite and quick to serve. My server recommended a couple dishes and we loved them, food was awesome !

I can't believe I am just now trying this amazing restaurant! The food was great! The service was great! Our waitress was very nice and helpful with giving menu suggestions. The ambiance was very relaxing, it felt like being in Nonna's kitchen. I had the manicotti, it was delicious. Soup and salad also came with my meal, a nice surprise I wasn't expecting. The dressing on the salad was delicious! For desert I had the lemon ricotta cake. It was light and not too sweet. Street parking available, pricing was average.

The customer service here is incredible. It's like going over grandma's house. The food is delicious, and they're never greedy with the portions. The free bread soup and salad is a 8/10. Now, just imagine the main dish!

Amazing hidden gem in bellflower ! This place has it all dialed in. The decore , the ambiance the staff and finally the food. Can't believe that we haven't been here before. We ordered the calamari to start. It was full of flavor and perfect texture. Our main dishes were the lasagna and chicken Parmesan. Amazing flavors. I can't believe that I finished my whole meal. The portions were huge ! We will defiantly be back.

ts place was lowk heat. service was rlly nice and so was the food. pretty sure we got some combo meal thing and the soup that came out first was peak. like the broth hit fr. i think the soup was my favorite out of all the meals. next was the salad, it was good. now the main course was sea bass and pasta. that's what everyone got. it was extremely good and everyone enjoyed. get the ice cream cause that was the best. had pistachio chocolate and cherry that was great mixed together. this place was extra awesome because it feels like your eating inside of a cozy home. oh yea, get the raspberry tea it's good. 10/10 place with great conversations between the fam

Wow, we were passing by from Long Beach to Arizona and wanted to stop and get food before hitting the road and I can just say, God led us to this place lol The service with Anna belle was impeccable and so warming, I felt like I was family here lol The food was great! So much food, soup, salad, amazing garlic bread. This place needs to come to Arizona. I'll forever recommend this place. I got the chicken Picatto recommended from Anna and I would give it a 8/10, the sauce wasn't think and the flavor was mid but the Calamari was well seasoned and the Lasagna was top tier! Love the music, vibe and service. This place is great, next time I'll try the Alfredo

Are they open for business yet?

Yes, they opened 2 weeks ago, and the food is delicious as ever and the service is great as usual!

    Are there any birthday specials?

Not sure. That was my first time there. On there website they do offer semi-private gatherings. Price's not listed. Definitely give them a call. They are very nice.

The Meatball sub is super cheesy with lots of sauce. Usually they tend to be dry, but Leslies was not. The Italian Sausage & Peppers was pretty fire too. Not super traditional but delicious. Pro-Tio: call ahead even for a slice. Flavors change depending on whats available and needs time for them to re-heat in the oven. You also have ti try their Cannolis, the cream cheese stuffing was fire. Staff is friendly, the owner is there sometimes and has always been friendly. Place is cozy, mainly a take out style with couple of stand up tables. Plenty of parking.

BEST PIZZA IN DOWNEY? Absolutely!…read more BIGGEST REASON FOR THE STATEMENT:Hands down For me the first thing of note is that they have a meatball pizza... and not any meatball pizza, but ground turkey, made into meatballs, sliced and put on pizza. Who does that? The best pizza place in Downey does! I grew up I just got back from deployment, I was goen from June until September (2025), I found myself at sea salivating for their pizza. I literally just got back, took care of family and business stuff and realized that I now have time to scroll through Yelp and write reviews based on Yelp suggestions (meaning if you check-in, but fail to write a review, yelp will remind you by adding the business to a list of suggested businesses. Let me start by saying that I will now pledge my loyalty, despite deployments getting in the way, to this shop from hestrip mall. THE STAFF: The staff is super courteous and they handle their phone orders flawlessly every time (Imperial Domminos could learn a lot from this place). I have even interacted with the guy making the pizza... he did so with a smile. SEATING: It is truly unfortunate that the limits set by the interior and exterior of this business make it so they cannot provide tables and seating in which patrons could dine. I would most definitely opt to dine in, if it was a choice. INTERIOR: This small carry out only shop is always immaculately clean. From the floors to the reflection of myself that I can see in the glass cases, this place wins the white glove treatment award every time. FAVORITE ORDERS: Cheese pizza, yep plain cheese pizza is the best way to review a pizza. Once you establish that the crust, sauce and cheese are amazing and worth the money, then it is time to sample, or as I like to say "experiment with" the quality found in a pizzeria's toppings I am usually a chicken, bell pepper, green olive type east coast pizza (so thick Sicilian is acceptable, and of late in the city of Portland, OR, I recently fell in love with Detroit style pizza) fanturkey meatball pizza is to die for. I do feel their sauce is a bit under applied, so asking for extra either on the pizza or to take home package separately is recommended. In the distant past, I have made my own sauce and actually topped store and shop bought pizza with it and the retopped the pizza with more cheese. I may start doing this with Leslie. PARKING: Ample parking is available outside, as this location is in a sizable stripmall.

I like mine thin crust and it was perfect - crispy and chewy and even some brown yummy hot air bubbles from the oven. Generous toppings and a nice tart tomato sauce - just the way a pizza sauce should be. Customer service - Friendly, fast and so welcoming. The prices are really a great deal for the quality of food you get. Lovability - I am always heartened when I see a family run business that has the entire family involved. Two kids were doing their homework outside at the table and chairs by the entrance. One was inside playing video games, lost in his own world. The moment I stepped into the door, the eldest teenager son went straight from the table outside and hopped right behind the cashier. He was cheery and greeted me so professionally. I made my order and the dad immediately went to the counter and started twirling the dough to make the crust. The mom peeked out from the kitchen and smiled at me and then disappeared to get the toppings ready. They were a well-tuned team! As someone who also grew up in a family restaurant, I can't emphasize enough how much it means to watch your parents work hard and to have to participate in helping them out. Builds deep appreciation how they have to make a living to take care of the family. Also it builds a solid work ethic and much-needed interpersonal skills in today's world. These folks are doing it right and I can't emphasize enough how important it is to support good family businesses like this one.

No hate... but where these 5 stars coming from? I get no joy…read moreout of posting bad reviews, so bare with me. I had this place bookmarked literally for years, had been wanting to try their Pastrami Pizza. Like all ny reviews, it is unfiltered non-bias based in just the food. I assume most of these reviews are from locals with nostalgia vibes that grew up eating here? Came in on a weekday for work lunch, right around noon. At one point was the only customer waiting for their pick-up order. Girl at the register was nice, paid for my phone to-go order and waited about 5-10min over the original ETA pick up time. I ordered the Pastrami Pizza, was sooo disappointed. Taste was off, it was cheezy, just lacks character. The pickles and mustard did not save it. Maybe its the low quality pastrami they use, or the way the pastrami is prepared? Couldnt figure it out. Now the wings. Not good. Dry, lack seasoning, lack flavor. Ranch was decent, the watered down but yummy kind you get form Tams or hood burgers. This place has been around for a while, maybe surviving in their usual customers? Not sure.
