They have great food at good prices. It is always consistent regardless of when you visit so never disappointed. Their daily meals are a good deal with plenty of food. Their sides (other than the plantains) are a little more hit/miss depending on your tastes. (I'm a little picker when it comes to soups and bean choices.). The costumer service was horrible. We spent $66 for 4 Cubans. We asked for lettuce and tomatoes on two of the Cubans and they charged us an unreasonable amount , mind you we never received the lettuce or tomatoes. We asked for no pickles on one because my fiancé has a deadly allergy to them and they even wrote on the wrapper which one specifically had no pickles but it in fact had extra pickles. When we called to politely make the manager aware of the situation we were not only accused of hassling them for money but we were borderline verbally assaulted. I have been going to this spot now for 6 years, since they opened.The owner and his wife are great! The food is fresh everyday and very generous portions. I love Fridays because they have Ropa Vieja, my favorite. I once suggested adding salads and they did! So you can get avocados with tomatoe and onions ..so yummy! They work so hard tp keep clean! Came into brooksville to serve the EMS community. Decided on a whim to try the food here based on the reviews. They exceeded expectations. Not only was the food incredible, but the personalized service was exemplary. For example, at the close of business they got swamped with customers and missed giving us our beans. We didn't realize it until we got to the hotel and of course after closing time. We called just for kicks and they actually picked up after closing time. Told them about our missing beans and they went the extra mile to make sure our experience was amazing. Mistakes happen and when people do what they can to make it right it makes all the difference. We were driving from Tampa airport to Inverness on 589 (wedding), and had decided to hit the road first and then find lunch. There were no signs along the highway indicating where we could look for a quick bite. We checked Yelp and discovered a well reviewed place right off the highway at the very next exit. It was meant to be. It's a small place (pix) and simple and inexpensive. But the FOOD!!! The folks at the counter were super friendly and willing to let the inexperienced gringos try samples. We quickly decided to try a cubano and a plate of pork (with crispy skin), rice, and plantains. We attacked the pork first. Great seasoning, simple and did not hide the perfectly cooked pork. The crispy skin was a rare (not a pun) treat. The plantains may have been the best I've had. I'll be candid ... we were full after sharing the plate and only had a little of the cubano. This likely ruined the chance that I will be able to enjoy the cubano at my sandwich shop in Boston. If you are local, you probably already know about this gem. This spot is right next door to Tidal Brewing, which is how we ended up here. It has a big menu including empanadas and sandwiches then the "hot bar items" which change daily. For $5.99 you get your choice of meat and choice of 2 sides. There's 6-8 of each daily. We had shredded chicken with yellow rice and mojo yucca. We split it and both had enough to eat. Other meats included roasted chicken, stewed pork chops, roasted pork, fried pork, and beef. Side options for that day were yellow or white rice, black beans, pigeon peas, yucca, and 1-2 more. Great value, super quick service too. A great lunch or dinner option to pick up and take home or bring with you to the brewery next door. Highly recommend this little spot, we'll try to stop by if we're that far north again. read more

Never will go back. Service was disrespectful, not listening to customers on what they ordered three staff working and still got the order wrong. Rushing, ordered food that was displayed and serviced five other people before me and had to wait again because they gave my food away and they had to make more. Never again! read more

Forth time eating here and not disappointed yet. Some other people complained that the meat was dry but it tasted fine for me. I recommend asking for the tomato salad with the vinegarete as a nice side to whatever you're getting. read more
