A spoon full of Kung Pao and dry noodles for 7 dollars, YUMMMMMM!
Michelle S.

This place is awful! The lady who is there a majority of the time is RUDE, RUDE, RUDE and VERY skimpy with the portions. I paid close to $7.00 for dried out noodles and a spoonful of Kung Pao chicken (see picture). I am beyond disappointed that I didn't go to Panda Express instead which was my first inkling, but figured since I was at Bashas, why not? So I send my son to get my food while I am checking out, get home, open the box, and all I can say is "they ought to be ashamed of themselves!!!" When I called to complain, the lady was uber RUDE and did not care. Based upon my experience, this place is a definite no go. If I could give them 0 stars, I would!

Lady was super rude gave me an attitude for wanting to look at the menu when I've never been here. Food looked okay anyways.

I'm leaving this review because some of the one‑star ratings for East Asian simply aren't justified…read morebased on the comments people wrote. A true one‑star experience is foreign objects in the food, cold meals, or no service at all -- and that's not what I experienced. I ordered takeout, and when I got home the food was still hot. I had the shrimp egg foo young and BBQ pork fried rice. The egg foo young was excellent, and the portion size of the fried rice -- along with the amount of BBQ pork -- was generous. This is easily a solid four‑star experience, maybe higher depending on what you order. I've lived on the west side for years, and I still haven't found a better Chinese takeout spot in the area. One last note: I'm a veteran, and they gave me a military discount, which I appreciated.

I couldn't tell you the timeframe of when the current ownership took it over from the previous owner when I first started frequenting Eest. The change was immediately felt. The level of customer care and taste of food changed. Not for the worst, but different. My last visit this month for an order of shrimp fried rice was my final straw and I will find somewhere else to find some food. It has been a very slow spiral downward with the quality of food. I am talking years where the consistency was slipping. Then last month it was as if they forgot what they were doing. What was served to me was edible, but nowhere near what I have been given in the past. I hope it was a bad day for the kitchen for the establishment's sake! Call in takeout orders have been a speed bump. You call in and you're quoted a time of when your order will be ready. You pay for your order when you get there. Then the clock starts. It totally defeats the purpose of the original quoted timeframe.

Yum! large portions…read morein a huge variety on their menu. I ordered the Tom Yum soup with chicken and coconut milk. The senior menu had multiple options, along with a lunch menu and a traditional menu. The decor was traditional Thai. Wonton soup was not wonton soup, but masses of vegetables in a liquid! 2. The fresh shrimp rolls, was again just full of chopped vegetables and one shrimp per roll! 3. The chicken satay, was so skinny, literally no meat! 4. The Pad Thai, was disgusting, again full of vegetables and just a ball of noodles thrown in. There was no proper Thai cuisine preperation here! 5. The Pa-Nang curry, again had its fair share of vegetables. and the skinniest pieces of chicken I have ever seen. To top it off we paid $92.58 for what should have been a delightful meal, the bulk of which ended up in the trash can, disgusting! I am sure that there are far better Thai restaurants in the west valley. This one you need to avoid at all costs, PS. I have lived in Thailand and this cuisine wasn't even close. Respectfully. G

Their food is consistently the same no matter how busy it is, most recently during a heavy dinner hour - prime time. Yes, expect to wait, we started the 30 plus wait time out side and then inside in the small waiting area. It's not fancy by any means. TVs with a game on, servers moving about, and a steady stream of to go orders. We had King Pao Chicken, Beef with broccoli and Mongolian Beef. Also Wongs fried rice & appetizer plate and soups. I had hot & sour soup, absolutely delicious, a little spicy as it should be. My Mongolian Beef was probably the best prepared, very tender beef and flavorful I've had, and always consistently the same each visit. The other entrees severed were equally flavorful, tender meats and served fresh & hot. Servers are kind and knowledgeable of each dish and offer suggestions of their favorites. The seating area is in need of updating but very clean, as are the restrooms. But it's about the quality, quantity & consistency that keeps me returning. Just go!

Loved the crispiness of a nicely fried wing. Large Hot & Sour Soup - Great consistency but it had a weird underlying sweetness I didn't enjoy. The restaurant across the street on the Fry's plaza used to have the best hot and sour soup until they changed owners so it was going to be hard for them to beat regardless. Orange Chicken - I don't think any of us expected it to come out this way so it was a surprise. Was a pleasant surprise? Ehh. It's probably my least favorite orange Chicken in the valley. Honey Walnut Shrimp - Standard, classic, and perfect. They do it as well as any other place around. Beef Chow Fun - Another great standard and one that had no

You order at the counter when you walk in, and they bring food out when it's ready. There were 5 of us so we decided to get the family meal deal plus some extras. Items ordered from the meal deal were - Teriyaki Chicken, Orange Chicken, Shrimp Broccoli (up charge), Macaroni Salad, & Vegetable Lo Mein (up charge). Other items we got were - Crab Rangoons, Spring Rolls, Spam Fried Rice, and Katsu Chicken. For drinks, we had ordered the Blueberry Smoothie and a couple of Thai Teas. Needless to say, we had a ton of food! The items we enjoyed most were the Teriyaki Chicken which came atop a bed of cabbage and broccoli, Fried Rice (although, I'd probably get it with a different protein, spam wasn't my personal choice but it was good), the Shrimp Broccoli, as well as the Spring Rolls & Crab Rangoons. The two dishes that had vegetables were my favorites since the chicken & shrimp were cooked well and the vegetables were done well, crunchy and satisfying. The appetizers were fried nicely, crispy. The smoothie and Thai Tea were good. The Orange Chicken wasn't bad but had more breading than I prefer and also the sauce all pooled to the bottom, it just needed to have been tossed a little more. Macaroni Salad was as expected but nothing special, same with the Chicken Katsu but the sauce was pretty good. The Vegetable Lo Mein is probably the only dish I'd say to skip altogether; overall, bland compared to the other items. If you're in the area, check them out. They were very friendly and efficient in getting everything out to us quickly!

From an Asian food perspective, I'd give it a 2/5 -- otherwise maybe closer to a 3/5 overall. Service was average, and the overall atmosphere felt more Hispanic-inspired than Japanese fusion. The mango margarita was actually great though -- definitely my favorite part of the experience. As for the food, nothing really stood out. The edamame was overly cooked and mushy. The chicken and shrimp fried rice was disappointing because the chicken tasted hard and chewy, almost feels like leftover chicken reheated. The calamari was okay, very bland, nothing special. The bathroom could also use some work, especially if the restaurant is aiming for a slightly more upscale environment. Overall, if you're coming for the fusion vibe and drinks, you may enjoy it. Although, I'd still probably go to another fusion restaurant with better quality food and better options. I personally wouldn't return, especially considering the price and food quality.
