My wife and I are visiting from out of town. Found this restaurant and thought we'd try it out. We came in and we were greeted by a younger gentleman away. They told us the process for their buffet and asked us if we wanted them to make more food since there wasn't much out. We said yes, they told us no problem we will cook it and bring it out to your table. They asked us what drinks we wanted in which they brought those to our table too. Great tasting food. Young, pleasant family owns it. This is a good example of good customer service and small, family business. Everyone that comes in matter. Even some weary travelers from Chicago. Overall great experience and they do take any type of credit or debit card payment. We highly recommend! read more

top to bottom, horrible waist of time and money. food and customer service, they must be losing money. they are serving food from bins. tuff meat translucent vegetables with the absence of flavor though out. the lomien, instead of slick and flavorful, was dry and uneatable. I called to complain, I was told I had to contact door dash, my delivery was the only thing right. in conclusion: I spent allot got shit food. management decided to not make it right. Pork fried rice had absolutely no pork in it. Not even one little crumb. Undercooked onion chunks, a few undercooked peas, some chunks resembling carrot. About 4 tiny bits of egg--I mean 1/8 inch bits of egg. Not even close to trying. No flavor. PuPu Platter was adequate. General Tso's Chicken overcooked chicken and just flat flavors. I drove into Paw Paw to visit a restaurant that, unfortunately, had just closed as I arrived. Nearing 7:00 PM on a Tuesday night, my options were limited. I walked into Rich China and was greeted by an empty dining room and a man behind plexiglass sitting in the corner. My first instinct was to turn around, but I thought, How bad could it be? The answer: Very bad. I ordered egg rolls, General Tso's Chicken, and Shrimp Pad Thai. The egg rolls were flavorless and filled with stringy, unidentifiable contents. The Shrimp Pad Thai had no flavor whatsoever--just rubbery shrimp, overcooked noodles, and little else. The General Tso's Chicken was the worst of all: overly fried chunks of chicken coated in a thick, sugary syrup. Even the plain white rice was overcooked. Not a single item tasted fresh or suggested care, effort, or pride in the preparation. Overall, a deeply disappointing experience. I know that at the end of each review there is an impacted family, and I take no pleasure in writing this review. My hope is that things turn for the better at Rich China. read more

Crab ragoons were only cream cheese no crab. BBQ pork ribs were tuff and only piece of pork not ribs. Sweet and Sour pork was also terrible. Have had better from the frozen food selection. read more

Either the food is cold or undercooked. Front desk has always been rude. We've given them multiple second chances but no more. When you walk in and the workers are eating McDonald's the food probably Isn't worth getting. read more

This place was so different before that I refused to eat there. I just went there a couple of nights ago, and we had absolutely the best Chinese food in years. The crab Rangoon was hot and crispy and creamy. The lo mein made me pray there was another container in the bag. Try this place. I'm getting ready to order in a couple of minutes. read more

Their version of Kung Pao Chicken, it is t spicy at all, meat is just sautéed chicken, tons of peanuts, I paid extra for noodles and there are hardly any. Not worth the $11 plus $3 tip I left for my carry out. But will end up in the trash. read more

Do NOT order food from this restaurant unless you are paying cash! You have been warned! I ordered $60 worth of food. I provided my ATM card over the phone. The restaurant ran it 7x...it was impossible to communicate with them due to the restaurant workers not knowing how to work the payment machine. That was Sat night. Monday AM I get a phone call from someone I can barely understand due to language barriers and she reads my credit card # back to me.... the exp date AND the 3 digits on the back of my card! the woman told me my card had not been charged and they were running it again and then she proceeded to hand a piece of paper with MY personal banking info to a stranger named John who runs an excavating company in kalamazoo and was there picking up soup!!! The woman on the phone from China Buffet literally handed the phone to a customer in order to have him operate the credit card machine. I am still so angry that there is steam coming out of my ears at how in-epped a business could possibly be and how ridiculously careless they could be with my personal banking info. I had to cancel my card at honor credit union and literally uproot my entire billing payment system because I ordered Chinese food from this restaurant. If it matters the dishes were only half full in there to go containers and the food was nothing remarkable. read more

We always had good food here. Hot and fresh on the buffet. We were really wanting chinese and opted for the buffet instead of take-out from up the road. We were so disappointed. The food had been sitting on the buffet quite awhile. The skewered chicken was so dried out I couldn't bite it. Some dishes were okay. But because it had been sitting for so long, it was "meh". I didn't realize until we left it had changed owners/management. I can eat chinese a couple times a week but haven't been able to eat it since visiting here 3 weeks ago. Will give it another try in a few months, hoping it improves. read more

The food was good, the communication was sketchy at best. We ordered take out and even though we repeated our order several times and the concurred that the order was understood by the child that answered the phone. When picking up the order, there were several mistakes which the took care of, or so we thought. We were missing 2 of the dinner entrees and one of the other we couldn't identify as to what it was. We made do with we got. We again phoned and they were very argumentative and blamed our communication with them that caused any discrepancy if any existed. Like I said their food is tasty but to be charged for something you didn't get and the to put the blame on us is cause for us to go elsewhere read more
