They reused my existing hardware (per plan) and installed all of that cleanly and fully functional. They even installed a door stop for me per request. To save a few bucks in labor, R&M recommended I do the painting myself, I gladly accepted the idea since that's the easy part and time consuming when doing multiple coats. The owner(s) who walked and quoted the job were great at explaining the process and communication was excellent from all whom I interacted with at R&M. Rob had to come out the following week to replace a door gasket with a slight nick in it. Instead of complaining about how trivial that was, they had zero questions and it was clear they expected the job to be as perfect as I did. All payments (e.g. down payment, final payment) were performed via their digital online payment portal for convenience. I trusted them. That trust has turned into one of the most disappointing purchases I have ever made. It is now 2026. Out of my 25 windows, 15 have failed. Every single day, I walk down my staircase and look at a huge window that is fogged, cloudy, and dirty from the inside. It has become a daily reminder of a purchase I once felt incredibly proud of. And honestly, that part hurts more than the money. That $78,000 wasn't disposable income. It represented years of hard work. It represented blood, sweat, tears, missed time with my family, missed celebrations, missed vacations, missed baseball games with my son, and missed gymnastics and cheer events with my daughter. Those windows were purchased with money I worked extremely hard to earn. I thought I was investing in my home. I thought I was investing in quality. I thought I was buying something that would last. Yes, the windows were more expensive than some of the other companies we considered, but after seeing the quality, there really was no comparison. The windows look and feel top tier, and now that they're installed, I can honestly say they were worth the investment. Joseph who came out for the final measurements was also fantastic. He was professional, personable, and had such great charisma that it honestly felt like we'd known each other for years. He made that part of the process enjoyable and gave me even more confidence that we'd made the right choice. The windows took about six weeks to be manufactured, and installation took approximately two days. There were two windows that are delayed, but that was communicated in advance and another installation is scheduled for August 31st.
