This is the worst place to have business with because not only the quality of their product is questionable but also is their installation. Worst of all, when the window screen broke within a year in my case, not only I was fiercely scolded by the owner but also was told to purchase a new one. A year ago on August 2019, I ordered about 30 windows of different sizes from this company and paid them for the installation. On the day of installation, the owner only brought two guys to finish the entire job on that day. Afterwards, not only they did not clean glues on our floor but they left a big pool of glue on the driveway. When I complained about the glue, the owner told me they were easy to clean but they were very difficult to clean. Worst of all, in winter, cold air came through plastic strips they used to cover the gap between the existing old window frame and the new window they sell ... they did not put any insulation so cold air came right through the gap where plastic strips cover. Within a year, after a tenant moved out, I found that one window screen could no longer being snapped back. I called for service. The owner came but he made the situation even worse after forcing the screen in (see the gap in the attached photo.) When I described the opening between the screen and the window frame to him, he started to attack my description with the tune that could really hurt people. I remember my experience with similar product purchased from HomeDepot that when the product no longer function property after about 10 years of purchasing and installation by ourselves, the company not only sent a repair guy to do the repair on site and free of change but also told us they give life time warranty on all windows and doors they sell. read more

Horrible customer service. Answered the phone without stating the company name or their name, which made me think I had the wrong number. I asked for the customer service dept to which I was told they do not have one. I tried to explain the current problem which was challenging because there's a language barrier between myself and the person who answered. They cannot find the window order, even after supplying all order details. They will not send parts or replacement window because they can't find the order. Therefore there's no order... even though their windows are installed on the home. So I guess there's no warranty on the new windows!! (I believe this could be a result of the contractor doing a mass order under a different address) They said I can order parts and a new window but I have to personally come to the Bay Area to pick them up, I'm an hour and half away. Now, part of the issue is that the contractor will not provide any information or help with the window issues, he's disappeared from the planet. I've got missing parts and a window not installed properly. Nothing I can do about it but spend more money and time working with another contractor to fix the first contractors problems that he left. read more

This place is great! We purchased and 8' slider for our house here (retrofit). We got dual pane with low e. They we half the price of anyone else and the quality was outstanding. We had there contractor install the patio door they crew was very professional and the price was amazing. If you need windows or patio doors this is the best value you will find anywhere. I'm very impressed with the product. The slider is nice and smooth and I would compare it to an Anderson at the fraction of the price. I highly recommend this place. I was a little hesitant because the price was so low, but I'm very very impressed with the quality. A friend of mine paid almost triple and the quality is comparable. Great place to deal with too, the staff was friendly and very helpful. I would give more stars if it was possible. read more

I am a DIYer on home improvement. Our house was having these crappy 50+ years aluminum windows and patio doors. I decided to replace all of them on my own. For these retrofit you can only order customized. I spent a while visited HomeDepot, Lowes,... then this Rich shop. The time paid off. Rich's quality is no different from these big brand names but cost is about 1/3 to 1/2. I spent many weekends (should be months :D as I did it slow) on removing old and installing new. Sometimes whole family work together as some big windows and patio doors are heavy. Patio doors are harder to deal with and I spent more time than windows. Now all of them are done. I saved huge on labor. Rich's sizing is very precise and their products are very similar to these at HD or Lowes. You try it and you will know. Staffs at Rich are nice and easy to talk with. Just installed 6 windows all together at rich, what really stand out is the perfect seal and the quality of the window. I live in the area where air traffic are significant enough to disturb our life. With the new window closed, the airplane noise is hardly noticeable. The thickness of the window is also great as the frequency of the heater being turned on is drastically reduced. Installation process is very smooth. Workers are very professional and polite. I bought 19 new windows and another bunch of custom insert screens for existing windows from Rich Widows. I also hired them to do the retro-fit replacement as well. Their price is very good for both the windows and labor, otherwise, I wouldn't be able to afford to replacing so many all at once. I had very good experience. The staff are very friendly and responsive. Always quick to reply to my email and calls. When I asked for the detail spec of their glass and windows, they were very transparent and shared as much as they know as well. The installation team are professional, efficient and hardworking. They accommodated my schedule and completed all the replacement work in 2 days. They also cleaned up the job site nicely and packed all the trash. Their windows are very easy to open and close, the frames and glasses are not fancy, but they are solid and good quality as expected for double-pane windows. I can not believe the lack of customer service, or just plain manners. I called , she did not identify the business or her name I was not sure I had the correct number , and told the very unengeritic operator I was interested in windows. She said "ok". Ok, I proceeded to tell her how many and what type of windows I was interested in. She asked if they where replacements ok. Then she proceeded to tell me to measure the windows call back and they could give me a quote. I asked did she say for me to measure she said, not with a smile, yes. I said how do I know what to measure? Either with the frame the size of the hole??? Really me get up in a ladder and measure! She said that's what I would have to do. I said no I will not be measuring or using their service ... she hung up on me!! I cannot believe this place is in business with someone like that being the first contact person !! Hands down the best window/contractor company I have ever worked with. Gavin, the owner, came out for the measurement one day after I contacted them. Then they helped me with the application process to my HOA. They are extremely busy but managed to schedule my installation before the rain hits. On the day of installation, the crew came on time and took good measures to make sure keeping my carpets clean. The installation process is quick and smooth, and the quality is top-notch.
