ervice dept has a LOT to learn about taking care of their customers. Took our GMC Acadia in for service on the A/C four times for the exact same problem which was under warranty the first 3 times but the 4th time which was about a month after the the last call we were told that it was no longer under warranty even though it was the EXACT same problem as the previous 3 times. We spoke with the service manager and he told us that he had even contacted GM for help but they would only give $168 towards what they told us was a $3000.00 repair. We then took the car to a second GM dealership to look at it which confirmed the diagnosis that Richard Karr gave us as well as a coolant leak which brought the bill up to a little over $4000.00. They contacted GM who gave us over $2000.00 in assistance wher Richard Karr said they would only give $168. We actually went ahead and traded that car in for a new car with the second Dealer (Jim Turner Chevrolet) . We will never step in Richard Karr again. We feel they were trying to take advantage of us instead of taking care of us. They could take some pointers from Jim Turner on how to take care of your customer. read more

Had a chrome piece come off my Denali grill. $800 later and they replaced it with black. Dropped it off at 8 am(had appointment. Was told they'd have it done by noon. No sir (of course). 4 pm. Worst service dept in the world. Bunch of old grumpy men that hate their lives and don't give a damn about the customer. I want to know who Tracy is related to up there. Lenard Betts is very rude. I do not appreciate the way he spoke to me when I was concerned about my car and when I made a comment that I didn't want to get stuck on the side of the road, he commented yeah that could happen. I was feeling hangry so I didn't have the capacity to handle it calmly and was a bit rude which I feel bad about. But, I already know what could happen and think he could've been kinder and more empathetic. My husband has had bad experiences with him too. read more

Took my truck to the service department for a check engine light. They thought they could take advantage of me because I'm a female, however I took my truck to another dealership who contacted GM and GM covered the repairs. When I asked why they did not offer me the same service, I was told they do not contact GM for assistance unless the customer asks. Are you kidding me right now how many customers know you can call GM for financial assistance with a repair? I emailed the owner Mr Richard Karr who apparently was too busy to speak to me and had someone underneath him call me. That speaks volumes. When someone goes through the hoops I did to locate his contact information and email him personally I feel that that warrants a phone call from him. Clearly I was wrong as to how he feels customer service should be handled. Do not, I repeat DO NOT take your vehicle here for service unless you have deep pockets and are willing to accept their "diagnosis" of your vehicle. read more

Nice car, bad service, after bring my XT 5 multiple times, my air conditioning shut down, no coolant in the reservoir, I added and brought back to the dealer ship they out the blues said it was my thermostat, wAter pump was already leaking. I got a feeling if you are not claiming a problem, and your car has warranty they don't tell you. Took my car a local business in town water pump leaking, my warranty ended 3 months ago. Same thing happens with my battery. I just took back to have check bad battery they honored the warranty, Lady at the service Dept didn't look happy, I am taking my car to a local small business that I trust and they are great, Hope I don't have to come back to this dealership. read more

first of all, they manipulate their reviews. if you look at their website, all you see is 5 stars. look anywhere else and the real review show up. took our 2024 suburban in because the rear camera was not working. they kept it all day. near closing, i called to see what was going on. tracy told me they couldn't duplicate it. when i asked more questions, he told me that i could come talk to the mechanic. i did. within 15 mins, it did it 3 times. i asked the mechanic what he was going to do now, and he said he had to call tech. then inside, he told the serv. mngr he knew of a part that might fix it, but it was expensive. i was standing right there. i told him that the veh was 3 months old and cost $98k. i didn't care how much the part cost, its under warranty. the serv mngr said he had to answer for it. they kept it another day and they told me a part would take 4 days to get. 2+ months later, they called to set up an appointment. i took it in & it took all day to "change". i picked itup and the next day, it did the same thing. called back and set another appointment a couple of weeks later. took it in again. again, they kept it all day & i had to call to check on it. "oh, i was about to call you". supposedly, they changed a camera. i got in it & it didn't work right. i had tracy come out to look at it. he pushed a bunch of buttons & couldn't figure it out. he called later to tell me to drive it & it would update & work right...it didn't. took it back yet another time. they kept it all day. tracy did call me @ 4pm to tell me they couldn't duplicate it. wow! he said they were driving it to make it happen. hello, its the back up camera!!! they drove the veh for 11 miles, although the ticket showed only 1 mile. either way, its the back up camera. it doesn't even come on in drive. my wife told them of a recall that was out on the veh. tracy told me he found the update and that it had only been out for a couple of days. it had been out since july. he argued with me until i showed him the open date on the ticket they gave me. he didn't find it, she told them about it. either way, it didn't fix it either. i picked it up and it did it again. when i complained to the serv. mngr. he got angry with me because i complained of them driving my veh for 11 miles to check a back up camera. when he started chastising me, i hung up on him. they don't know what they're doing and they will tell you anything to hold you off until the end of the day so they don't have to deal with you. the serv. mngr, mike lee, has absolutely no people skills, & he knows even less about fixing cars. he's just there to tag the negative reviews with a "pr" response and then tuck it away so you have to dig to find it. absolutely amazes me that they are still in business! i will never buy a veh from them & i wouldn't take a skateboard to them to fix...they probably couldn't anyway! read more

This is by far the worst GMC service department I have ever encountered. If you work customer service and are complaining about the volume your getting, there is a problem. Waco is not getting any smaller and if this dealership wants to keep up, they should invest into some individuals that understand customer service. I went in for a check engine light 7 codes appeared all having to do with the throttle position sensor and one having to do with the cruise control. TPS was changed out at the cost of $750. Codes where wiped out and they claim to have test driven it with no issue. 5 mins after I drive off the lot the check engine light is back on and the service department is closed. I take it back in Monday to see what the issue is and today it has nothing to do with the TPS codes that were run on Saturday... today it is the brake position sensor for another $200+. If your looking for a dealer repair, avoid this service center. They should stop advertising as a service center and state what they truly are... an overpriced oil changing station. And don't do their survey; all someone will do is reach out in a flaccid attempt to disprove your complaint. read more

Beware! Do not buy a used car, bc they don't back them! Yukon transmission died after 2 months and the service manager laughed at my sister and told her she's lucky she bought a warranty otherwise they would be out thousands and also laughed at her because she doesn't have a car for weeks and that's what she gets for buying used. She contacted the GM and he basically told her the same thing and didn't even apologize for the other manager laughing at her. read more

They finally said they had fixed it and I pick it up and within a few hours notice the problem is still there. the truck has been in their service department at least 10 times since October for the SAME issue. they turn the light off and say it's fixed and then same issue, all this while under warranty. Call Mike Lee in the service department who tells us to take it somewhere else. truck goes some where else and they are able to quickly find the issue. speak to Mr. Goff because why should we pay for something that they could have fixed months ago because it's been the same issue continuously? jump through hoops last week and today, no one is willing to pay for the problem that their mechanics could have fixed MONTHS ago. no more GMC products and def do NOT recommend this dealership or service department read more
