He said he checked the tire for leaks and that he didn't know why the valve stem started leaking after I took the bike home. I asked why he didn't change the valve stem. Him: because I only paid for a tire change. Me: how much is a valve stem? Him: $10 dollars. Me: So to you my life is only worth 10$. You couldn't at least have inspected the valve stem? Now you wanna charge me for labor AND a valve stem after you were too lazy to double check or triple check because my life isn't worth it? So i found out some guy named pancho was the guy who painted my regulator saying it was new. These guys are really funny i asked richard if he ordered my new part he kept saying nobody has seen it. Wanted to charge me for his mistake. There was a water in my gas tank so he so "fixed it" then after gas started leaking. I was far from his shop so I had to quick check. The whole gas tank bottom seal was not put back together well. So I asked him to fixed it. He said he won't do it for free. He did open this part to take out the water so yes it is his mistake for not putting back things together. And he wanted to charge me to fix his mistake. read more

Surely it's difficult to please everyone. However in this industry it's difficult to find an honest mechanic that values his customers above his financial gain. For me, Richard Motorcycle is exactly that. I remember buying my '96 Harley, bringing it home and noticing the carburetor drowning. Before long the bike didn't start and I needed to figure it out myself and rebuild the carb or take it somewhere. Because of time and inexperience I had to make a choice. I went to 2 other places before Richard, even though he was recommended by a friend. The others were closed on a Tuesday afternoon. I talked with Richard first about life itself and the importance of integrity. Within a week my bike was fixed, running, new brakes and new tires. Worst experience of my Life! Brought the bike ktm 950 in because engine stop working. Richard worked on my bike for about 3 weeks and replaced a bunch of stuff that probably wasn't even necessary. Bill was 1990 dollars!!! drove 400 miles and bike was not working anymore...again!! Overheating problems (water Pump) which should have been replaced when i brought it in since it was not working properly and the engine was already open. Oil linked all over the engine from the head (probably didn't replace the head gasket only used the old one gluing the head on. He didn't make me pay anything else and start workin on it again. One month later is still working an waiting for parts for my bike (god knows where he bought them and if they are new or used)...after a month an half he gave me my bike back and after 200 miles i am again at the starting point. Long story short i bought my bike in July 2015 and we are now in January 2016 and my bike is still not working... SLOW SERVICE AND DIDN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM...I LEAVE TO YOU THE COMMENTS... read more

I have a 2011 gsxr-600 that I had taken to another shop and they (The other shop) didn't figure out what was wrong with it. They (other shop) had me buy a new fuel pump assuming it was the problem and when I rode it home- it broke down. Brought my bike to Pancho at Richards shop and it was done RIGHT and quick. Sometimes they do take a little longer as expected for such a tiny place BUT they are super helpful and more honest than any other place I've been to. Richard has been great, a couple years ago he replaced the chain on my Yamaha SR 500 and also cleaned the carbs and got the bike running on my VT500 FT Honda. This guy Richard said he could REBUILD my carbs, for $350.00. After he was done he tells me no credit card , CASH ! He didn't even take out the old gas in the tank. When he called in 2 days and said it was done I was shocked ! Not only was there a heater connector wire just dangling at the bottom of the carb unconnected, later found out someone must of tugged on it and broke it . After riding it down the street I noticed the throttle handle was not snapping back into place. He said the cables needed to be lubed. Why they didn't do it I haven't a clue. Very dangerous ! I could of been injured. After getting the bike home I lubed both throttle cables. This did not solve the cable problem. He just never took the time to adjust or tighten the throttle cables in the first place. Now after a week the bike won't even idle or start. 350.00. for nothing , I will never go back to this guy again. Don't waste your money or time. ...out ! No STAR rating from this biker. read more

Surprised to see bad reviews on here. Google reviews were all good, so I took my 2000 Suzuki sv650 in. It had been sitting for the better part of 10 years, so was stalling and backfiring a lot (if it even started). Richard (who's sometimes a little rushed) was super friendly, and quoted $600 to clean/rebuild the carburetor and tune up the bike. He had the work done in a couple days, and even came in way under budget (when does that ever happen??), since he was able to clean and re-use the plugs and a couple other parts.
