Wonderful gastrointestinal with delicious local food and friendly staff. Never a bad meal!

Richardson's is an underrated restaurant located on Child street in Warren, RI. The food and service was good, but the restaurant was not busy what so ever. Obviously it has it's perks, like getting your food faster, but it is odd to see a restaurant on a Friday night only have 3 tables dining in and another couple of people at the bar. The food itself was good. The calamari had a slight spice to it, which made it unique. The fish tacos (appetizer) were very good, but small to share with others. The sausage burger was great! You could tell not only visibly but via taste that it was fresh and homemade. Lastly, the pasta was mediocre. Not the best I've ever had, but it definitely was good. After finishing our meal, I came to the conclusion that although the food at this restaurant may be good, the reason why it might not be busy could be due to the location and parking situation. Like I mentioned before, the restaurant is located on child street. There is no parking lot which requires customers to park elsewhere and walk to the restaurant. Although this is just a theory, it could be why the restaurant wasn't busy on a Friday night.

We were out looking for a place to eat in Warren and drove by this place, looked busy inside, but not overly crowded so seemed like we would find a place to be seated. Glad we chose to go in:) The ambience is very nice small restaurant with a very nice looking bar. Seems like a nice local place to hang out for a drink and the food was delicious. Choose one of their specials which was fish and chips my husband had another special chicken tacos we are both pleased! My fish was fresh with a very light batter and nice crispy French fries the side of radish was a nice touch! Husband he also enjoyed his chicken tacos! We will definitely go back again, great service, nice people and atmosphere, great experience!

Came here on a limb with my girlfriend. The burger did not disappoint. I will say I am more of a bacon slab kind of guy then bacon jam (recommend ordering both on their signature burger). Small little place that isn't too crowded for a Friday night. Tortilla chips were AMAZING. Fries looked amazing even though we decided to go a healthier route with a salad.

    Steak tips and chicken carbonara

We went to Richardson's on a random day due to their dinner special. 2 entrees and a bottle of wine for $40. I had the steak with creamy mash and the hubby had the carbonara. Although it's a limited menu, it's still definitely worth it. The bottle of wine was also nothing fancy, but it was a good Pinot Grigio. We would definitely go back and try other options on their menu.

The parking is hard to find at busy times, but I usually find it down Miller St. Just keep in mind that they are closed on Mondays & Sundays when planning a trip. However, they open at 11:30 AM Tuesday through Saturday, which is perfect for an early lunch. The lunch menu is well priced and the food seems high quality. When I've sat inside, the service has always been great. The style of the interior has a rustic comforting feel that makes you want to relax. The chicken quesadilla is savory and quickly became one of my favorite dishes. The salsa is fresh and pairs perfectly with it.

Their menu is not too long, but it does have a little bit of everything and the prices are good. As an appetizer, we ordered the bang bang shrimp (8 Panko fried shrimp tossed in a sweet & spicy sauce). They were very crispy, big, and a little creamy but more sweet than spicy. I was torn between the brie and bacon burger on their regular menu and the smashburger on their special menu. Ultimately I chose the smashburger because I could always come back for the brie and bacon. As crazy as it sounds, I wanted to be a little healthy so I asked for a greek salad instead of fries. After about 20 minutes, the entrees came out. I was a little disappointed that the cheese on the burger wasnt melted, but in the end, it didn't make too much of a difference since it was delicious. The tomatoes and lettuce were fresh, the fried banana peppers and bacon were crispy, and the meat was tender and flavorful. I think there were so many opposing flavors but they all came together beautifully - salty, acidic, creamy, cheesy. The buns could've been toasted a little more. The greek salad was also fantastic. It tasted very fresh and had all the toppings I expected with a good amount of salad dressing. I appreciated that they added a lot of feta. Our server was fantastic; she was very attentive and kept us updated on the status of our food.

I got the Big Ol' Burger and it was so good. Cooked perfectly, the special sauce was delicious and as you can probably tell from the photo, the fries were exactly what I was looking for. Everything tastes really fresh here. It has that farm-to-table quality, but in a relaxed, laid-back (but still really pretty) setting. We came for lunch and I loved that they had brunch options too. Now, the reason you're reading this review- THE FOOD. I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich with a Caesar Salad. The chicken (photo below) was perfectly cooked, topped with hot honey, slaw, pickles, and ranch then placed on a soft brioche bun. The meal was reasonably priced as well at $33 which included tip. I will absolutely be back to the Shanty next time I'm in town.

I've seen on social media that people complained about the new location having mainly street parking - we both found parking easily on the street - quit yer b*tchin' people lol. Besides I believe they have a lot behind the restaurant that we didn't have to use but it's there if needed. We were the only ones there when we first walked in but more patrons came in as the night went on. Made our way to the bar and orders were flowing - one warning if you're sitting at the bar, it is an open kitchen so there will be alot of aromas flowing through and may get on your clothes but really it'll just remind you of how good the food was. Also, the barstools are not the most comfy - metal stools with no backing so after 2.5 hours, we were feeling a bit achy. We ordered way more than we should've but everything just looked so good! We got the croquettes (our absolute fave), the cauliflower, the pizza du jour (I think it had spinach, pepperoni, ricotta and garlic) and for entrees we got the fish tacos and the Orecchiette. Not one complaint - everything was divine. Croquettes were melty, smoky little nuggets of heaven and our favorites bites of the night. The pizza had a great balance of flavors and the crust was thin and crispy. We were so full but had a few bites of the fish tacos and pasta - the fish was cooked to perfection and the aioli it came with topped it perfectly. Pasta was different - had a scallion cream sauce that was a nice change up from your typical Alfredo. Don't sleep on this place - the street is busy being on a main road but so well worth the visit, I didn't catch our bartender's name but he and a few other servers were super personable and friendly - gave us just enough time in between meals and personal space to not hover. Absolutely will return!

When we're craving something a little more thoughtful than the standard eggs-and-toast routine, this is where we land. The menu is creative without being over the top, the flavors are usually dialed in, and it consistently feels like brunch with intention. This last visit, however, turned out to be a bit of a mixed bag. We sat at the bar around 1pm, which is our usual move. The service was great. We were welcomed right away and had drinks in front of us in no time. I ordered a draft Blue Moon and my partner went with a glass of wine. Both were cold, fresh, and exactly what they should be. We started with the lemon ricotta donuts. These were delightful. The texture was spot on, tender and light thanks to the ricotta, with that perfect sugar coating. I would have loved a slightly more assertive lemon flavor in the dough itself, but they smartly included thinly sliced lemon rind on top so you could dial it up yourself. A thoughtful touch and a really nice way to begin the meal. My partner ordered the avocado toast for her main and it was as beautiful as it was flavorful. The sourdough had a great chew and structure, the avocado was well seasoned, and the sprinkle of cotija brought just the right salty pop. Bright tomatoes, pickled onions, microgreens, everything worked together. This dish absolutely delivered. I went with the Eggs Benedict Florentine, which I've had before and really enjoyed. Unfortunately, this time it missed the mark in a few areas. First, the poached eggs. The whites were a bit loose in spots and the yolks were slightly overdone. I know poaching can be tricky, it took me a while to master at home, but it was surprising to see the interior more cooked than expected while parts of the white still lacked structure. It was manageable, just not what I've come to expect here. Next was the mustard hollandaise. I was really looking forward to that punch of mustard, especially since I've had it shine before, but this time it felt muted. It was also looser than I prefer in a hollandaise. I love a good hollandaise, even better a béarnaise, and this one just didn't have the richness or body I was hoping for. Then there was the tomato. I understand we're not in peak tomato season, but even so, I can usually find more flavorful options at local markets and grocery stores. It appeared to be a standard beefsteak, and it just didn't bring much to the plate. A Campari or another variety with more natural sweetness and acidity would have elevated the dish and complemented the nicely cooked, flavorful spinach far better. On a positive note, the bolo was excellent. Such a great choice over the traditional English muffin and a perfect fit for a local spot like this. It had great texture and the slight sweetness usually balances the mustard hollandaise perfectly. Overall, Avenue N remains a place we truly enjoy. This visit just didn't quite live up to what we know they're capable of. I'm confident it was an off day, and we'll absolutely be back.
