Extra Crispy Hash-browns that couldn't even be separated without a steak knife.
    Toni A.

Service was good but small portions and the breakfast potatoes were hard, not cooked all the way and the hash browns were what I call burnt! This is my third visit with different friends and will not be going back. Every time I've been now someone has had to send something back. I could not eat the hash browns and was in a hurry today, so no time to send food back. Customers that want extra crispy ask for it, you can not fix burnt hash browns.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]What a cute diner! I loved the retro-themed decorations with the checkered floors and vinyl seats. They really decorate the place according to whatever holiday it is that month. The time I went they had valentines decorations EVERYWHERE. It was really cute![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff are all wonderful, including the cooks. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. The menu had a ton to choose from. They have smokers outside where they smoke some of their meats. I ordered the tri-tip breakfast and loved the smoky flavor it got from the grills outside. I also asked if I could add gravy to my biscuit, and it really hit the spot. My husband ordered a breakfast that came with a cinnamon roll and orange juice. His cinnamon roll was so good! Oh and the food came out fast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was really clean and just had a great atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] One little gripe though... they have a sweet display on the wall honoring the military, but no military discount. Lol. Oh well, we enjoyed our meals nonetheless and will be back.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We rolled in with a party of five, and it was great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Some friends were visiting from out of town, and this place always has that classic diner vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were seated almost right away, which was awesome. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere totally took us back to simpler times. It's just got that cozy, familiar feel that's hard to find these days.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were all super excited to try some of their classic dishes. The service was friendly and efficient, making our experience even better. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was the perfect spot for our group to catch up and enjoy a meal together.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Weather you want some BBQ options, classic malts, or chili omelets. Great options!!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Step back in time at this clean and organized retro-style diner, in the 'Murrieta Pointe' shopping center on Murrieta Hot Springs Rd and Hancock Ave.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Conveniently between the 15 and 215 freeways, with plenty of parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The fun, 50s-inspired decor sets a cheerful mood, with classic booth or counter seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]  We visited for breakfast and were completely charmed by the menu. My mom was delighted that her senior meal came with a hot cup of coffee. My "Pride of the Diner #1" was a triumph of breakfast foods: two eggs, strips of perfectly cooked bacon, homestyle potatoes, and a fresh and fluffy cinnamon roll. The included premium Colombian coffee was smooth and rich, so good. Our server, Connie, was attentive and kept the service moving at an efficient pace. We're already making plans to go back and try their BBQ, especially after seeing (and smelling!) that wood smoker out front.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Decked out like a 50's diner, this place is super cute, has HUGE portions, and makes everything from scratch![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is a giant smoker out front where the meat is smoked every day...from the corned beef to steak, ribs, tri-tip etc. [[HIGHLIGHT]]delicious food, excellent environment, and the staff is soooo nice![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lots of parking out front, clean restrooms, and a wide varie of fun snacks for sale.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] pro Tip: get the "to-go pack" with the three meats for a family dinner at home. You won't be sorry. Oh, and get the mashed potato's as a side. DELICIOUS!

So good! Been here a bunch of times and never a bad meal! I tried the prime rib special. Prime rib was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Tender and absolutely delicious. The baked potato was huge and so soft inside! My wife had the pot roast special! Best pot roast she ever had! I had the leftovers and she is right! Cant wait to go back!

We had an enjoyable experience here. We ordered A cheese burger combo and chicken fried steak and eggs. The food was very flavorful and the staff here was very professional and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have plenty seating and can accommodate large groups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Cinnamon Roll
    Lorenzo W.

UM, WHAT Happened? The usually toasty and gooey cinnamon rolls found at Richie's Diner were quite dry during this visit. Also, I had to ASK for the roll whereas they're usually an option provided by the waiting staff during ordering. My waitress assumed I wanted toast without asking me, so I had to interject and tell her I wanted a cinnamon roll (which is still a side option). I was pretty annoyed with the cheap decorations during this visit. Here we are, several weeks past the 4th of July and they had a hot mess of patriotic dollar store decorations and flags. It was very overwhelming and unnecessary. I prefer the classic Americana diner feel that Richie usually has, not this cheap mess. Shoutout to the meat smoker dude outside, he seemed friendly and treated each guest kindly upon arrival and departure.

Ribeye with a soft scrambled egg....sorta
    Daniel O.

Wish I could give 3.5 stars -- Richie's has its moments! When Richie's is good, it's really good. But I've had a few inconsistent visits. My go-to is the ribeye breakfast with soft scrambled eggs. I usually order the steak medium rare and more often than not, it comes out closer to medium. Not a dealbreaker though, since ribeye is a pretty forgiving cut and the extra cook time helps render the fat a bit more. Today's visit? Steak leaned more medium (again), and the eggs were a little overdone for my "soft scramble" preference. That said, the biscuits and gravy? Still top notch. Rich, peppery, and comforting, they never miss with those. And as always, the service was excellent, my coffee cup never once hit empty. I'll keep coming back, just wish the kitchen hit the mark a little more consistently.

Cookies and cookies and cream, I love cookies and cream.

Carrie and Hannah were incredible. Carrie took care of everything we needed with real attention, and when things got busy, Hannah jumped right in and kept everything running smoothly. The chicken noodle soup was spot on and the French chip sandwiches were a perfect recommendation. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was clean, the service was great and the overall atmosphere was exactly what we were hoping for.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If it wasn't for Carrie, I wouldn't be back.

We have heard plenty for years about this place and finally decided to try this place out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is decorated for Fourth of July and full of candy and jelly beans, making for an interesting place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu is laid out like a traditional cocos or Denny dinner menu. The prices are fantastic compared to other places and the service is very attentive. We decided to try the sliders, the French dip, and two milkshakes (Oreo and peanut butter). All the food was fantastic, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm shocked this place isn't even more busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Check this place out!

Our service was phenomenal, refills came consistently, I had plenty of creamer for my cold brews, and our orders came out exactly as requested. My go-to menu option no matter the time of day is still The Grizz (eggs, ham steak, 2 slices of bacon, 2 sausage links, hashbrowns, and 2 sweet cream pancakes). As breakfast is served all-day I'd highly suggest you try it, especially if you're hungry. My big back self also had a 7.99 mini-pie (coconut cream). It was good, but needed more crust! Murrieta's location still has plenty of seating (both booths and tables) and a spacious layout that makes this one of the most accessible locations in SoCal. This time I decided to try the bacon eggs Benedict and was unfortunately a little disappointed. For those unfamiliar, eggs Benedict is typically an English muffin topped with a poached egg and a creamy hollandaise sauce. I was expecting the egg yolk to be runny when cut into, but it turned out to be fully hard-boiled instead . The hollandaise had a nice flavor and good acidity, but it seemed slightly broken. That said, the service was awesome and very attentive, which I really appreciated. Not sure if I'd visit again though.

Unfortunately, one star off for the service. We have come to expect the high caliber of service offered from Robin & Francesca from past visits. Our server Jessica was nice enough but not very attentive. We had to keep asking for our drinks to be refilled although it was very obvious that our glasses were empty. And there weren't a lot of people there. So our server really missed the mark. Thankfully, the food is consistently outstanding and mediocre service won't dissuade us from returning.
