Worst place to come.. they dont knw how to install tires. They over torque ur tires all the time.

It took one full hour from the minute I pulled up, to replace 4 tires. Nobody in line in front of me, and I think a novice tech was working on it. The job was done well, but they charged $100 for it since I ordered from TireRack.com. I was expecting to save some money! read more

One of my tires was slowly losing pressure. I drove up to Rich's, where i was told me park my car in front of the door. A technician jacked up the car, removed the wheel, saw a nail, removed it, and plugged the hole. He put the wheel back, I paid $15, and was on the road again. read more

Ya, these guys seem to be really honest and good. I had shaky steering wheel syndrome, took it to Rich's, and they showed me that one of my front tires was about to blow out, and the other was close behind. Glad I asked! They offered two used tires for $40 each, or two new ones for $100 each. Got the new ones (precious cargo and all) and they put em on for me. The whole thing took about 10 minutes. I asked if the the back ones needed replacing too and they said, No, they're good for another 10-20K miles. How refreshing. read more

I have taken both of my cars to Rich's and have not been disappointed. They are fast. No appointment, first come first serve. I got there just after they opened at 7 am. no line no wait. On both of my cars I ordered tires from Tire Rack had them delivered to my house and brought them in my car. $25 per rim balanced and pressure sensor valves re-installed. Asked to have weights placed inside the rims since I have BBS and don't like when they put those clamp on weights on the outside. No problem. Balancing was perfect. Saw another review who said his tires weren't balanced. May have been the mechanics fault or the guy may have had defective tires. Who knows. Any case, I have been pleased with both of my cars and have had NO balance problems on the installed tires, they do have.... Computer Balancing.... I don't think there is much you can eff up with that I would think? Will continue to get all my tire needs taken care of at Rich's. read more

After doing some shopping around, including placing some phone calls, I found Rich's Tires to sound professional and reasonably priced. Coupled with a few good reviews on Yelp, decided to go ahead and give them a try. They had to special order tires and made an exception to not take down payment over the phone. In by itself, it's refreshing to do business on a man's word! The next days the tires arrived. I showed up with the vehicle mid day Sunday and the crew took me right in. 25 minutes later I was on my way. Price was more then reasonable, service was just fine so I was happy to leave them a nice tip. The place itself isn't much of those highly marketed tire chains yet that's exactly where the difference is - highly professional, very attentive service, reasonable prices and not trying to up-sell you with anything. I knew I needed new tires on my car but kept putting it off. I had called around for quotes, but never found the time to get the work done. Last week, I left work to find one of my tires was flat (and my spare was very low as well). Time for new tires. Called AAA, and they helped me find Rich's as they were open a bit later than others in the area. I called, made sure they had the tires I needed, and then was towed there. Due to crazy commute time traffic, we did not get to Rich's until 6:30 (they are open until 7). The guys there could not have been nicer, set me up in their waiting area, and then called me over to let me know which tires they had in stock that would work best. I gave the go ahead and they went to work - a few of them all working on it together. By 6:50, I was paid, and out the door. Best of all? They are so helpful and professional here. This is my 3rd tire puncture in four years and we have come here each time. I found a flat on my tire on Saturday Riches Tires were closed by then. I have lived in Mt. View for over 40 years and Riches (in business 30 years) was always my go to place for used tires, and flats because I could not afford new tires for many of my cars. The service and prices were always points above others I had not been there for some time. When I took my car down on Sunday with out calling around 2pm. I pulled in with the flat in my trunk and the donut on my rear. Alex was out there working on a car jacked on one side. more than likely for a flat as well. I told him i needed my flat fixed told me to pull up next to the car he was working on, And within minutes my car was jacked up by Alex himself. fixed my flat put it on the car. He is the nicest guy. I know my tires are in need of new ones very soon. He pointed this fact out, But he did not push the issue for new ones. Alex patiently. looked up 3 separate prices for tires that i had interest in. Oh ya the flat was a cool $15. Alex is the owner/manager for over 13 years. And he does not just sit in the office while other staff do the work. He is out there everyday getting his hands dirty. Brought the car here they took care of it in less than 30 minutes. They had specific tools that can take care of my problem. Very efficient and fast service. read more

I had a punctured tire and another that was so worn down the metal from the tire was showing. I called them up around 5pm to see if I could schedule something for the following day. They told me to come down right now and they could do both. They fixed one tire, replaced and balanced the new one in 15 minutes. All of this for $100. Talk about service! I have taken both my cars here for two different slow tire leaks and had to wait a grand total of 5 minutes each time. Very fast and honest. One tire didn't have a puncture. I spun the tire in the mud and it caused a leak at the seam between the wheel and the tire. They only charged me $10 for that instead of the normal $15 for a minor tire repair. Where in the Bay Area would a mechanic or technician even think of shaving $5 off of a charge that was less than $20! read more
