So, I've had my 2024 Kia K5 for a few years and I have had some recall issues with it. I have also had some poor experiences with customer service in the past working with KIA. However, I recently received services at Kia and was working with Mr. Lamont Gibbs at the service center. I came in already with a negative feeling thinking I was going to receive the same poor customer service but in fact, I DID NOT! I received the opposite and was so thankful. Lamont was very kind, patient with all of my questions, and was able to get me in and out. He also kept his promise and followed up with me on all my issues and was able to get my issue handled. I am so appreciative of Mr. Gibbs. He honestly changed my feelings going into the service department. I am very appreciative of him and he should be recognized for going above and beyond. I like the car and the buying experience was ok. Some crazy long extended warranty. But KIA advertises Connected Garages as a built‑in feature, but it's locked behind TWO subscriptions -- KIA Connect and MyQ -- even though the hardware and menu are already in the car. You're paying yearly to use your own garage. This is anti‑consumer and deceptive." , it's free a couple of months then you find out it's more than netflix to open your garage door with their controls. There were cars in front of me but as soon as the charming Mr. Marvin saw me, he had me drive to the next lane for immediate service where he quickly made a video and took me in to the consummate professional, Lamont Gibbs, checked me and let me know additional services I needed, as how quickly I needed them. He was very knowledgeable, positive, and quick. He even called a Lyft for me. We were manipulated by our phone conversations with Neve, who lied several times about asking her manager for an inspection for a used CRV Honda we were waiting to test drive. After never receiving it, I ask her to verify that it did not hav e ruff idle since this is major sign of an issue for this car. She continued to say we are reputable company and would never sell a car that needed repairs. Took off work with my wife to test dive the thing. We get there, and they have no idea who we were although we had a scheduled meeting and should ask for Kendrick (what a piece of @#@! that guy was). The KIA service department off Satellite Blvd. in the old Sears place is THE WORST! They cannot even get to your vehicle to just do a diagnostic on it for a week or more! I took my car in Monday, March 23rd, 2026 and as of 1:45 p.m., I have not heard a word from the service department. I left a message with Joshua Bass, the service manager even before I took my car in. I did not hear from him by Thursday and I called the service shop to get them to leave him a message as well and still did not hear from him. If this shop is so overwhelmed with work, why do you even get an appointment? My appointment was 4/23/26! This same thing happened to me last year when I took my car in for repairs. Worst service center ever. Car has a flat tire and is literally on the ground. It was towed to the service center where we called and made a noon appointment. We received texts that it was being looked at and taken care of. A day passes and we call the next morning and they haven't touched the car. They claimed "they didn't know what to do with it." I am highly disappointed about how I have been treated by the Sales manager, Jarred Perkins as well as the General Manager Kendrick Echols. I started the process to purchase a used car and signed all of the paperwork on Friday, Feb. 28, 2025. Due to my co-signer being out of town I had to have them UPS the paperwork and it was signed received by their office on Friday, March 7, 2025 at 10:17am to a Tia. I called several times to confirm that the paperwork was received to the finance Manager Jon Yi, Jarrad, and Monique. No one called me back. I was out of town at the time on business and then was called and left a message at 12:36pm that day saying that they just sold the car to sold someone else when my paperwork was already signed and returned to their office AND they had my pre-approval check at their office as well. How to lose a customer in 22 days.   I purchased a 2024 Telluride SX-Prestige X-Pro SUV on Oct 17 from an awesome sales rep who communicated professionally and worked fair a deal that was reasonable. We even worked this deal via text as he was working with his Sales Managers to get me a deal I could sign off on. Came in the next day to sign all the paperwork which was easy peasy. My trade in had some undiscovered issues that required an adjustment to the initial offer which was explained to me and I agreed the adjustment was fair and was impressed how the Sales Manager presented the adjustment in a professional manner. Head back to sign off on the finance paperwork and was working with another great representative of the dealership trying to sell add ons like extended warranty which was his job. I tried to negotiate a better price and then he had to bring the Finance Director because the number had gotten outside of his wiggle room. The attitude,  arrogance and condescending nature of this person stopped the negotiating dead in the tracks and I proceed to sign without any add ons which we were very close to making deal on.   Now let me say I absolutely love the Telly and deal I got from the Rick Case sales team. Now fast forward to wanting to add a tow hitch to the Telly a few weeks after purchase. There seems to be a lot confusion about adding hitches to 24 Tellys so I stop by to see my Rep and asked for help . The parts counter rep seemed to be off putting and bothered by me asking about this product that just became available in August. When I shared a letter from KIA US in regard to the product the parts rep could not be bothered to check with others and basically through his hands and said not sure what else I can do. I was amazed as I was there ready to spend money and this guy could not be bothered to dig deeper let along go the extra mile.   So, my sales reps says give me a few day and then follows up a product print out at full retail and said the Parts Manager had to get in involved because of the newness of the part. This is when I reached to GM via email to ask why the dealership was charging full retail for a product that KIA US is recommending passing on the cost savings for customer satisfaction. After 5 days of no response, I decided to reach deeper in to the Rick Case Automobile Group and actually connected with Ryan Case, the son of Founder Rick Case. I shared my story via email and text and he even shared my frustrations and dismay at the situation.  A day later I get call out of the blue from a scheduler at the Dealership asking about scheduling a time for install for a product I had not even purchased yet. When I asked who had told her to call me, she informed it was the Service Manager. I explained to her the confusion and lack of communication and asked her to please have this Manager call me to discuss. Well guess what, no phone call from this Service Manager so I call him the next morning to leave a message. I'm a first-time Kia owner. I went to the dealership because it was the most convenient. Upon my arrival I was greeted and ask if I knew who my representative was . I did and the gentleman left to find him . Once D'Angelo came in he went to his post and began scrolling on his phone . I saw the name tag and realized that must be my person . I approached them and told him I had an appointment and he found it I explained that this was my first oil change and that's the only service I I'm here to do as it was a new vehicle . The invoice was $ $160 . I was shocked! I told him that the cost of the oil change should not be that much and I also had a coupon from his website . He then adjusted the invoice again it was still higher than what was mentioned on the website. I, again sad that is not the amount mentioned on the website and why does it have to be this high . He said the coupon can be I did that check out that would reflect the correct price. During my weight I asked to use the restroom . Omg! It was a dingy, dirty, smelly unisex bathroom with a yellow stained urinal and dim lights . It look like something out of a horror movie . It was disgusting . I did not use it . It took 3 hours later before my car was ready and repeated ask off D'Angelo who was mostly on his phone for updates . This long wait time had me missed an appointment . At checkout the invoice was not correct and the coupon was not applied . Again, I mentioned this he then had to make another adjustment and at this point I was so done I just wanted to leave. The invoice again still high with the adjusted coupon but due to my frustration I could not bear to stay there a minute longer . I asked to speak with the manager of whom he said was not available nor did he provide his name . I would not recommend this dealership service department . This is my first time as a Kia owner I bought a 2024 Kia less than a month ago from mall of ga Kia , but I came to Duluth Kia due to a tire issue. When I arrived I was greeted with over 10 cars infront of the service station with nobody in the vehicles I drove around and attempted to ask the mechanics where I go to get serviced and they closed the garage in my face , I proceeded to walk inside the sales dept where a group of 5-6 salesmen were sitting down I asked them about where to go to get my car serviced for my tire and after being ignored for what felt like 5 mins they asked me what was wrong with my tire I told them I had a nail in it and they proceeded to tell me I would have to replace my whole tire and I had to wait behind 10 empty cars to do it when I get in the service line a random salesman opens my trunk and looks around in there. A MONTH. A MONTH. The lack of communication is absurd, ridiculous, abysmal, laughable. I brought my car in on 2/10 to get it repaired, the oil sensor was broken and the AC was not working. I got my car back on 2/19. On 2/23, I noticed the AC was not working still and sent Joshua Bass a text asking for a call back, per a text I had received asking for me to contact him if I had any issues. On 2/26, I call his phone and left a voicemail asking him to call me back. On 2/28, I submitted a "contact me" request on their website. On 3/01, I called the main number and asked to speak to someone (Joshua Bass) and was told no one was available and I would get a call back. On 3/05, I called the main number and demanded to speak to someone. I FINALLY received a call back from Wesley. I bring my car up there and drop off. Joshua Bass is there and I inquire why no one could be bothered to return my call. He informed me he gets hundreds if not thousands of calls a day and it can take weeks. He offered no apology, handed me a card, and more or less brushed me off. On 3/06, it is discovered my car is leaking Freon still. They replaced the part they previously replaced and ask me to wait a day so they can verify it is fixed. On 3/07, it is discovered my evaporator has a leak (which aren't they supposed to have a life span of 10-15 years?! WTF). And I am quoted $2600 to repair this. I ask Wesley what sort of discounts may be available given that absurd hardship I have had in getting any responses. Backlog is one thing. Completely not responding to clients and ignoring them is something entirely else. Wesley told me he would have to kick this back to Joshua Bass and to expect a call from him first thing next day. 3/08 NOTHING. AGAIN. 3/09, left another message and wrote the GM an email (have YET to receive a response from him.) 3/11, called back to back to back 10 times before finally reaching Joshua Bass. Discovered I had a warranty that covered the repair, was told they would order the part. Takes about 6-8 hours to repair. 3/12 received a TEXT MESSAGE, not a call, from Zack that stated, " I am following up on a voicemail we received. We apologize for any delay in response. We're experiencing a high volume of clients, wait times for assistance are longer than usual. If you still in need of assistance, please response with inquire." I have NO IDEA WHICH message he was responding to, but it had been several days later after leaving my last message as I just started calling, hanging up, and recalling over and over again since I was not receiving any call backs. 3/14 was advised the part would arrive on 3/18 3/18 at 9:58 am was told the technician would be starting on the repair in the afternoon. Here it is, now March 21st, STILL without my car and the last update I had was 3/18 that they were starting on my car and the ETA would be 6-8 hours for the repair. Took FIVE (5) calls to reach anyone before being told I would get a call back. Lord knows when that will be. Warranty will only cover ONE (1) day of a rental, so I have been without a car, grand total of TWENTY SIX (26) days for a repair that I have been told will only take 6-8 hours, have had a hard time reaching anyone, communication is absurd, I have been offered NOTHING to make any of the hardships right, I have been gaslight, ghosted, ignored, and am at my wits ends. She was with me every step of the way, kept in close contact, i had a question she could answer and was going to get the answer, very personable when I spoke with her verbally. There was a minor mistake made with the brand of tire I wanted vs what brand was placed on my car BUT again Brandi was going to make it right beyond my expectations... she was insistent. I had to wait over 1.5 months to get an appointment for a couple recalls on my 2022 Kia Telluride. I dropped car the night before for an 8AM appointment. They call me at 3:00PM to ask me what the problem is! I had left a detailed note in a ziplock baggie with the key and photocopies of the recall letters I received. They then tell me I must leave it there for 12+ days just to have it looked at! Oh and no loaner cars available but if the recall work gets approved they will typically reimburse you up to $40 per day for a rental. I cannot find a rental for $40 per day - Need an suv.
