My check engine light was on for a misfire in a cylinder. I asked to have coil changed on the cylinder. They stated they changed it. I paid for it and left, the light then came on again. I drove it back thinking that the code. They again said it was correct and I drove away. They light came on a third time and I took my vehicle to a different store which found that none of the work had been done. When confronted the manager offered a refund for the part not replaced. Nothing for the service time which I had paid for. I am out $1600 and should have filed a lawsuit.

It appears they simply replugged the light in. My student told me 2 days later the "oil change" alert was still on and that the headlight was out (again). I had him take the car back to Lake Elmo Repair and they told him he would need to bring it back with an appointment. I don't think it is fair to expect us to have to come back according to their schedule when the problem was the poor workmanship of Lake Elmo Repair. I have…read morenot used Walmarts auto center before and did not know what to expect. my appointment was so 1pm, I arrived at 12:50. no one was there and the doors were closed. I entered through the garden center and walked to the auto center, still no one there. I called the auto center- no one picked up the phone. I did some shopping and walked back later- a Walmart employee was behind the counter/ no other customers. I asked about my 1pm appt. I was ignored, I asked again and acknowledged, but not helped. I left at this point and went 1/2 mile down the road to Vavoline...lesson learned.
