Stopped in here for a delicious dinner on Saturday night and I will say it was amazing!! We had the queso, shrimp and crawfish dip and trust me this along could of been a meal. Very very good! Delicious food! My husband got the Buffalo wings and oyster special, he loved both. I got the steamed bucket for two, and asked for it without seasoning and they accommodated my request. OMG! What an incredible find! I was craving seafood and we located this place on our drive back to our VRBO. Wonderful prices and lots of fresh seafood. Our waitress was happy and very accommodating. I had never had crawfish tails before and they were amazing super tender! I also had the catfish strips, so good buttery melt in your mouth goodness. This was it. We called ahead for 13 people to arrive in an hour. They confirmed and happily welcomed us when we got there. They were full, and it took some maneuvering but got us in. The waitress and manager were attentive, we were loud, had fun and fit right in. The food was excellent and priced half of "on the strip" prices. Ok, I had my bias. When we first walk in, I was a bit concerned bc it the menu is different from what was online. It is a simple menu which they do well. It's a sport bar ambiance so they have no problem with you ordering appetizers and meals in different intervals. This is a credit to the level of service and well trained wait staff. The people are knowledgeable about the food and sourcing of the seafood. Now food: Gumbo: I love it, full body and hearty old fashioned Gumbo. The seafood is not mealy or cooked to death. Spicy and no tomatoes. Oyster: just the way it supposed to be, briny and huge. The rockerfeller oyster is the best I have had in years. It uses fresh spinach instead of chopped freezer spinach with bacon and good mozzarella. Not too salty and the charred just right. Also not overly salty with parmeasean cheese. Ribeye: it is cooked just right but it is not the best quality steak but well done for the steak quality. I am usually not a fan of steam vegetables that comes with steak. They are usually frozen or overcooked. They give you a large stalk but it was perfectly done. Which is hard for a large stalk if broccoli. Derby pie: it us a rough puff pie crust with semi sweet charcolate chip and chopped walnut. It is served with vanilla ice cream. The crust is buttery like a fillo without the dryness. It is not too sweet and a good compliment to the ice cream. It is served warm. read more

We saw one couple come in there were immediately seated, handed menus and they waited. Felt skeptical about trying stuff super close to the beach cause it's too touristy so we decided to take a chance on this place and I'm so happy that we did! We got the steamed sampler and I'll admit before coming I saw that the oysters all looked pretty dry so I would skip that but the crab legs and clams were to die for. So delicious and flavorful. My boyfriend enjoyed the shrimp the most but I found them a little bland. The steak was really fatty so I wouldn't suggest it but that's my fault for ordering steak at a seafood establishment. Overall the seafood sampler was delicious I would've gotten extra portions of another item for it to be filling for two people next time. Then she re-asked "Did you want a Po-Boy or a Taco?" Then I ordered an appetizer (Crab Claws) that arrived 45 minutes later to our table. My daughter's child hamburger plate was overly cooked and the meat was smaller than the bun. I ordered the catfish dinner and the cooking oil they fry all the seafood in was old, the seafood batter was very dark and dirty looking. We escalated our concerns to the so called "Manger" and the person who arrived was the Food Runner; a young boy who looked about 19 years old who was actually doing running sprints ‍Delivering food and drinks to all the patrons. Dinner at Rick's tonight and I must say it was not quite up to standards. Seated without wait, but it took awhile until our server made it over for drink order. By that time we were ready to order our dinner as well. We both went with the crab soup and my wife had the grouper florentine , while I just had Rick's famous fish nuggets. My wife's entree came out first and was not very good the fish and potatoes were cool to the touch and the fish was not very tasty. My entree came a few minutes later and came with no sauces.
