There is nothing fancy about this place at all. You can throw on a pair of shorts, Tshirts over your bathers after a day at the beach, & rock up here for dinner or beers and it would be FINE. I think most of the beers are in cans. And they actually have a really good varied selection of beers which is always fabulous. I ordered raw oysters & they were super fresh & absolutely delicious. They have a dozen for $7- between 3-7 pm everyday! I am from Cape Cod & eat oysters frequently. Definitely order them if you like oysters! I ordered the blackened grouper. It came with new potatoes, broccoli & corn on the cob. It was fine. Not fantastic but fine. It was pan sautéed perfectly so flaky with just the right amount of blackened seasoning. The new potato & broccoli were steamed & cooked perfectly. The kitchen is clearly knowledgeable & knows how to prepare, & cook well. The Service was excellent: fast, friendly, helpful & efficient. I really liked this place. If I lived in the area, I would come back here weekly for oysters & beers! Overall, It's a super fun casual place with friendly staff, a capable kitchen & nice customers! My sig other and I split the steamed seafood platter. For $28, you get snow crab, mussels, clams, oysters, and shrimp. Also comes with steamed broccoli and red potatoes. Really fresh and quality seafood --tasted great with their cocktail sauce or melted butter. This platter plus an appetizer should be plenty to share between two. We weren't super hungry and happy with just the platter. Service is super welcoming and friendly. Always nice when the waitstaff around you are happy and smiling. It looks like they have awesome drink specials during Sunday football games so definitely worth checking that out. I will say, we did pass by this place at first because the sign is not very visible and it looks a little dark and deserted at night. On our second pass, we did see the flashing video billboard thing. So, you kinda have to overlook the storefront, but no big deal. Overall, this isn't a fancy touristy seafood restaurant but the food quality is there and you don't have to pay an arm and a leg for good seafood. This is a great restaurant not that's not far from the airport. My husband and I came here after landing and was immediately greeted at the door. We opted to eat at the bar as we like to chat with the bartenders. Our bartender was fantastic (brunette lady). We ended up here, because another place was closed. I stopped at a nearby retail store and asked some locals where to eat. Rick's was the hands down favorite, so we went. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent, the wait help were great and seating was comfortable. Definitely a local favorite and not a tourist trap. I had the lunch special which was 2 main dishes and 2 side dishes plus a soft drink. I upgraded the fish to grouper for $2 making my meal $16. Husband had Ahi tuna and sides also for $16. There was a Tito Surf Bloody Mary which came with loads of food including 2 shrimps as part of the drink. The oysters were huge. We will be back a few times before leaving the area. Free parking was a bonus. You have to pay attention when driving, or you will miss this spot, and the outside is deceiving from what the inside looks like. read more

Everything we had was delicious and our waitress was great. My margaritas were also yummy. If I had one thing I had to say was a negative, that would be the melted butter for dipping the crab legs in. Can't quite put my finger on it but it just wasn't the same taste I'm used to. Other than that, I can't complain and we'll certainly come back. We got here around 5 which was perfect because it gets packed quickly! Came across this family oriented restaurant while searching for a nice seafood restaurant. The wait staff was very nice and friendly, down to earth. We started with a dozen raw gulf oysters, so fresh and chilled to perfection. Also tried the spinach dip, so creamy and served with fresh toasted chips. We split the Steamed Bucket for Two and Crab Feast. Ohh my goodness, the steamed bucket dish was so awesome, the clams, mussels, oysters and snow crabs were steamed perfectly and so fresh. The Crab Feast was just as good, the crabs had the sweetness still, fresh from the ocean. Definitely will have to come back. read more

I live next to Rick's Sand Trap. Both restaurants are go-to places for fish and service. Rick's Crab Trap is a bit farther away but has a more extensive menu. The amberjack is my favorite gulf fish, the cole slaw is delicious, and the people are always pleasant and helpful. Glad to be a local! read more

Went to this place after it was recommended by a friend who lives in the area. It was cute and had fresh seafood. We ordered a dozen raw gulf oysters that were $8. They were good for the price. My husband ordered the crab soup which was AMAZING although the chef should work a touch harder to remove the shells so it does not become a dangerous experience. Almost every other bite had a small piece of shell included which was not good. I ordered the pick two with two sides and selected grouper fish bits, deviled crab, hush puppies, and onion rings. Hush puppies and onion rings tasted like Cisco made them but the grouper bites were delicious. Deviled crab was lacked a lot of crab which was disappointing.
