I was expecting the worst - having to replace some really expense parts or, worse yet, the entire unit. When he arrived and I further explained what was happening, a lightbulb went off in his head and he suspected what was happening right away. Thank goodness, it turned out to be a capacitor. Our water was leaking in the RV. We had to keep our water off and use a bucket underneath to…read morecollect from the leak. This was clean fresh water leaking near the water heater. I called South Florida Mobile RV Repair from a recommendation of a fellow traveler. He came and checked it out. It was going to cost $150.00 just to look at the issue. He was here for no longer then 5 minutes and was gone. He didn't even go under the RV to see the leak or where it was coming from. After 3 weeks of messages and voicemails, even seeing him face to face and a promise to get me the estimate for fixing my leak, it still took almost a month for him to get back to me. He finally sends me a text message while I am leaving yet another voicemail. This was all he sent me. Almost $500 for a new tank or $900 for a new water heater. I had a friend come out and look at my leak and after 5 minutes, he fixed it. A coupler in my water hose where it connects to the water heater, needed to be tightened. That was all. Kevin would have charged me $150 for the first visit, and at least $750 for parts and labor depending on what I decided to do about replacing the entire water heater. He is a con-artist, yet he has John Prince Campgrounds as his customer base for years and years. I DO NOT recommend South Florida Mobile RV Repair to anyone. Find another mechanic.

This time I called him because of a leak I have in my RV where things have gotten damaged, he came and we agreed on the repair and he asked me for money for the materials of $560 which I zelled to him on 11/2/2025. On 11/5/2925 he texted me that he forgot to calculate the taxes and asked me to send him another $40 so now he has a total of $600 of my money and no work has been done. I have to be on top of him texting him about when will he start the job but the communication on his end has been terrible. He has given me 2 dates that he will pass by and doesn't pass by or even much sends a text to keep me posted. After sending him a message about a refund he showed up to just spray bleach for the mold and has not been back or sent messages. The excuses has been either he's in the hospital or his wife is. Last message I sent him was on 11/26/2025, he read the message and didn't bother to answer me. In the meantime it's been raining and my rv is suffering more damage. It is now 12/1/2025 No work has been started and no signs of any materials or my money. I wish there was an option for zero stars!
