What an impressive place! So much selection and everything I purchased was delicious - both sweet and savory. Empanadas were unique with a crispier shell than I am used to. Both the cheese and the meat empanadas are mixed with mashed potato - side of hot sauce was awesome! I have never seen a bakery that was as clean and organized as this place! All the ladies who worked there had their hair tied back and in uniform. It just felt like a well-run operation with delicious food made in a sparkling clean facility. I will be going back tomorrow to try more! And what you get for your money is such a great deal!

So I can't find this place on Yelp. Checking other social media, it seems like they've been in business for at least 4 years. If that's the case, Morristown Yelpers gotta get their act together! Three types of empanadas. Their chicken and beef empanadas I think are made from corn meal. They have a nice thin crispiness to the outside. Cheese empanadas with a more typical feel than I'm used to. Papa Rellena is a meal encased in a 4 inch diameter ball. Crispy outside, a layer of mashed potato, then delicious ground beef AND RICE. One of my favorite is yet another ball. This one slightly smaller and what I originally thought was mofongo/bolas. However, instead of green plantain, sweet plantain is used. And it actually encases chicharron instead of being mixed in. And they're quite generous with the chicharron. You can also find arepas and a few different types of sausages - one maybe a blood sausage? I still haven't even attempted to go through the other half of this store - the sweets. So yeah, this place is LEGIT. No having to go to a bodega in the hood for empanadas. Wish I had taken more pics. I didn't expect Yelpers in this area to be slackin'.

    Tres Leches Cake

I ordered a Tres Leches cake for Cinco De Mayo and it was delicious. Best Tres cake I've ever had. The cake was beautifully decorated as well. Highly recommend this place!

The service here is really bad, some of the bread that they served me was weeks old, starting with the empanadas.

The chocolate chip cookies were unbelievably soft and delicious. The ginger snaps were meh. They didn't really reek of ginger the way you would expect. That said.... When we got here yesterday U noticed a "Ginger Cappuccino" written up on their blackboard menu. I'm a sucker for a good espresso drink and I LOVE ginger, so I figured I'd give it a whirl, and Lord have mercy, it was absolutely spectacular. You can tell right off the first sip that they aren't using any of that fake, sugary pump-syrup you get at the big chains. This bad boy tastes like it has real, honest-to-goodness grated ginger steeped right into the milk. It gives you this wonderfully warm, spicy little kick that cuts right through the rich espresso and velvety foam perfectly. It is smooth, uniquely flavorful, and just downright delicious. This hidden gem on Cattano Avenue hits the nail right on the head. If you see the ginger cappuccino on the board when you walk in, do not hesitate--just order it!!! So sorry I learned about this as they are planning to close up shop. They had an indoor dining room and an outdoor patio. We opted for the indoor dining room due to the heat wave. For breakfast, I ordered a chocolate chip crumb muffin and a pecan bar. I've never heard of a Chocolate Chip Crumb Muffin before, but it was delicious! The pecan bar was good as well. Unfortunately, I didn't order a drink because I don't like coffee and the only non-coffee drink they had was Hot Chocolate and unsweetened iced tea. Too hot for hot chocolate and I don't like unsweetened iced tea. The ladies at the counter were very nice though and gave me some tap water! Overall a great experience. Sad I just found out about this place as they prepare to close their doors in September.

We had- *Butter cream bread *Buffalo chicken and Ranch pizzetta *Chocolate supreme croissant *Cream brulee Bombolone *NY-style cheese cake slice Everything was great..!! Crossiant so was flaky, crispy, and tasty altogether. Outdoor sitting is there, just like any classy cafe. The movie received an 80% and 75% approval rating respectfully. After the movie, we stopped by the Paris Baguerre which is only five minutes away. The close proximity is one of the reasons I chose the Paris Baquette. The pastry shop is clean, brightly lit and most importantly quiet enough to have a conversation. As my buddy and I played movie critics we chose our desserts. They make pastries daily. We went with the "Strawberry Lemon Cream Croissants" $6.69. The croissant was definitely fresh and delicious. A little high in price. but the quality and taste were there. They offer Lavazza coffee. I can't remember the price but it was not out of line. You can park in designated parking spaces in the SOFI parking garage. They have an app and a reward program, as well. As a final note, if aliens can get to Earth from light years away, we would not stand chance if they had nefarious intentions.

The staff was friendly and patient when we decided on what to order. Five items were tried, and each will be described below. Black & White Cookie ($4.50) - This was a traditional sweet that was done right. There was a nice balance of the chocolate and vanilla flavoring while the cookie was not too soft or hard. Chocolate & Vanilla Pretzel ($5.50) - This was very interesting. It was not overly sweet and was large. It was just a different type of pretzel. It was a tad dry, but not bad. Pumpkin Donut ($3) - This had a nice texture, but the actual donut did not have enough sugar I thought. The pumpkin frosting was just right though. Cinabun ($5) - This was very solid. It looked like it was going to be filling, but it was lighter than imagined. The cream cheese frosting was too much for me, but it had a nice texture. Swiss Chalet Wrap ($13.99) - This came with fried eggplant, arugula, tomato bruschetta, and a balsamic dressing. This was my favorite item tried, no doubt. The wrap was filled and nicely made with a good balance of the ingredients. The eggplant was fried ideally too. It was a well put together wrap. The coleslaw that was provided was plain, but there was much provided anyway. Will I go back? I would.

They aren't too receptive to getting pictures / talking out different ideas. In the end, the easiest option for something custom was to email a picture to be copied on to a sheet cake. The cake itself was delicious - the chocolate buttercream filling was rich and decadent. The actual cake could've been a bit more moist, but it was still really tasty. Prices are definitely high, but as expected since it's a locally owned bakery. A 1/2 sheet cake with some custom additions is around $150. Custom round cakes with fondant, tiering and more detail will run you $300+. The actual bakery is huge. I'd never been inside, but didn't realize there's also a ton of cafe seating, and a huge case filled with treats. I'd definitely consider again if I'm looking for a special occasion cake.

They ended up not enjoying it, so that's why there's some missing and none of us wanted to eat it anymore! Spoke to Suzi when picking up the cake and explained to her that the cake would not be eaten on the day of, but instead two days later. The cake was for September 1st and that happened to be Labor Day so I had to pick it up earlier! She said, "That's fine," and it can be stored in the fridge for up to a week and in the freezer for up to three months. So, not sure why there's a sense of judgement, cakes should be able to be stored for longer periods of time! And we wanted to order from a bakery specifically, since it was a special occasion. Not sure what your reference to a "squished" cake has to do with it food will accumulate residue in containers overtime! 9/12/25 From seeing professional pictures online of the beautiful cakes on Google Reviews of Suzi Cakes and good reviews on Yelp, I genuinely thought that the red velvet cake I ordered over the phone with Suzi would be amazing. Boy, was I wrong. I had to throw out the cake after 6 days because no one wanted to eat it anymore. We gave some part of the cake away to a relative, so we didn't consume much...not sure if they enjoyed it either. There were 'red' flags that I noticed when placing an order with Suzi. I chose to ignore them because I needed a nicely catered cake for my sister's birthday. Suzi sounded very direct over the phone and sometimes dismissive, so I felt that I needed to truly know and prepare for how I wanted my cake each time I called. I could not go in person to explain or show pictures due to the distance from her business in East Hanover. Suzi gave me the listed price of $90, and I personally thought it was overpriced for a 7-inch, single-tiered cake. I originally did not want to place with Suzi, but I could not find a place around me that would do a red velvet cake legitimately, besides Coco Luxe Cakes in Peapack and Gladstone. Coco Luxe discontinued their red velvet cakes, unfortunately, which is the cake I truly needed, hence why I ordered here. Next, trying to find the suite number and building for this place was a nightmare, another red flag. It's very tight behind some train tracks and very easy to miss. Thank goodness for advanced technology and Google Maps/Street View for helping me navigate. I called Suzi on the phone so she could service me at the front desk to get the cake. I picked up the cake and truly believed that I would make my sister's birthday special, and I planned everything perfectly. I stored the cake in the fridge for 2 days before eating and followed all of Suzi's storage directions. We tried the cake and it was awful. It had a fermented-like taste, and we could not eat it. I saw a similar review on Yelp of someone having Suzi make their cake for their wedding, and their wedding guests could not eat it; it was that bad. I was hoping that would not happen to me, but it did, surely. The icing was hard, dry, and chunky; the cake itself lacked flavor. I got a red velvet cake from ShopRite in July for $16.99, and it tasted way better; just the cake was a little dry. I called Suzi to give her some feedback so she knows. She informed me to come back so she could examine the taste, but at that point, we threw the cake out. $90 truly wasted. Can't really ask for a refund, I guess, because I never came back to her about it, because her location is almost an hour from my house...not sustainable for me. Despite the good reviews, I will never go to Suzi Cakes again. I will stick with another recommendation I got from a relative for Coco Luxe in Peapack if I want a professionally made cake from a bakery. My sister's birthday was ruined, and no one in my family liked the cake. The price for the cake was outrageous, and compared to other local bakeries in the area, the price does not justify the taste. The presentation of the cake is good, but the taste is abysmal. Save yourself, your palate, and your wallet by looking elsewhere!

Suzi Cakes could not have been nicer or more accommodating with just 2 weeks notice. The communication was so simple, professional, and pleasant. We did Vanilla with Oreo Mousse filling and it was DELICIOUS. The cake was so soft, fluffy, and flavorful. And the filling was awesome! I know I've found my new bakery for future events!!! Thank you Suzi Cakes!
