Passed the pizza place for years when we took Steven's Pass to Seattle and never stopped. This time we did. We ordered a large pepperoni with black olives to go and it was delicious. The topping were all the right amount, the crust under the pizza was thin and easy to fold as the slices are big cuts (like a Costco slice) and the edges were soft and just the right amount of chewy on the inside with a nice crunch on the outside. We will definitely add this to our travel list when traveling this side of the mountains read more

While I was eating, the owner came into the restaurant with no shirt or shoes - with a dog - and went into the kitchen to make himself a pizza to go. Gross! I genuinely don't know where to begin. This was, without a question, one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. The pizza looked promising when it arrived, but the first bite immediately told a different story. The crust had the texture of a rubber floor mat, and the cheese somehow managed to be both greasy and dry at the same time. Every slice fought back when I tried to tear off a bite. I wasn't eating pizza--I was chewing on something with the consistency of an old bicycle tire. By the third slice, my jaw was getting a better workout than it would at the gym. The wings were somehow even more impressive... and not in a good way. They had fused themselves to the plate like they'd been glued down with industrial-strength adhesive. Picking one up resulted in half the wing staying permanently attached to the plate while the chicken came away in pieces. I've never seen food develop a stronger relationship with a plate than with the person trying to eat it. Then came the aftermath. Let's just say my digestive system declared an immediate state of emergency. Before I even got comfortably home, my stomach was making noises that sounded like a thunderstorm rolling through the mountains. The rest of the evening consisted of multiple urgent trips to the bathroom, each one making me question every life decision that led to ordering from this place. I've eaten gas station food at 2 a.m. that treated me with far more respect. As if the food wasn't enough, the TVs in the restaurant looked like they hadn't been upgraded since the early 2000s. The picture was blurry, washed out, and constantly flickering. Whatever show they had on was completely disturbing and horrifying, it also contained quite a bit of nudity, at certain points I felt like I was seeing straight porn. The restaurant somehow managed to disappoint every one of my senses. The food looked edible but wasn't enjoyable, the wings became construction material, the pizza doubled as a chew toy, my stomach filed a formal complaint, and even the TVs couldn't provide a distraction from the experience. I never leave bad reviews because I know restaurants can have an off day. But this wasn't just an off day--it felt like every possible thing that could go wrong did. I left hungry, frustrated, and with a newfound appreciation for every frozen pizza I've ever criticized. I won't be coming back. Never eat at Rico's. read more

I've passed Rico's Pizza so many times and have always been curious, and finally got the chance to try it during my wedding weekend! It's a super cute spot (from what I have seen from the outside) that would be easy to miss. Don't sleep on this hidden gem, though! We ordered delivery, but they do have small outdoor seating and some seating inside of the restaurant as well. They delivered to us all the way in Index, so about 15/20 minutes from them, which worked out perfectly. We got an assortment of their pizzas, from chicken bacon ranch to class pepperoni. Absolutely love the chicken bacon one, and the pepperoni itself was also delicious! We got about 8 large pizzas and it was plenty to feed about 20 of us easily. Overall this is a solid spot for a casual lunch or dinner in the area, or if you're staying at a local Airbnb or hotel. Highly recommend! read more

Really good pizza joint... perfect cap after a long day of riding at Stevens Pass. We got the large (16") with pepperoni, bacon, spinach, onions and mushrooms. This place was recommended to us by our airbnb host while we stayed nearby in Baring! Although there isn't much in the area food-wise, this place is definitely a solid pizza place. Service was helpful and the place inside was very casual, typical of a fast pizza restaurant. The menu had a variety of combinations to choose from as well as a build-your-own option. You can even do half and half like we did. Each pizza is cooked to order, so I don't mind waiting the 15 minutes. The pizza was pretty good...I'll give em that. Not the greatest I've ever had, but good. I'm just not a fan of being nickeled and dimed at restaurants, especially when we're all hungry. What I can't understand is how they don't serve water, you have to buy small bottles of it. You also have to pay for ranch, which isn't that unusual, but it's no better than hidden valley unfortunately.
