They are thieves, all prices online are wrong, in-store prices are out of date and in Chinese and everything you order they will pad your bill. The restaurant has a very small area for dining in. There are only about 8 tables. When we went there were people sitting at 2 of the tables waiting for their take-out orders. Most of the other tables were occupied. One of the ladies found a table for us and brought menus and hot tea to the table. The staff seem to all be family members and they all worked together to see that the customers were taken care of. Most of the dishes seem to be around $20.00. The staff were all very friendly and serviced both the customers with take-out orders and customers dining in very well. We ordered crispy skin chicken, pea pods with beef and rice. When our crispy skin chicken arrived it did not come with the salt that is always served with the chicken and we had to request it. The pea pods with beef was average. I found the chicken to be somewhat dry and not very good. It was also a very small chicken. The service was very good. The food was between poor and average. I don't think they are really set up for dining in. The room is nice though and tables were well cleaned between customers whether people eating in or waiting for take-out orders. We found the small dining area and people waiting beside our table most of the evening for take-out orders did not make for a pleasant experience. They take cash or debit card only. Credit cards are not accepted. I don't think we would return although the service was excellent we found we did not enjoy our meal. read more

Our Family decided to go the this restaurant for our Family Chinese New Year Dinner. 1. FOOD QUALITY: POOR!!! ....Food was too dry & oily. 2: SERVICE: POOR!!!! They were cleaning up the table even when we were still eating. The Owner was very indifferent.... Had to ask for a receipt and argued that he already gave it to me...Shoved me aside wanting me to get out of his way. Asked him what his problem was....he retorted. "I'm busy". It this the way you treat a guest who just spent $450.00 for a Family Dinner? Everyone!!!....PLEASE PLEASE do yourself a favour. Go somewhere else for dinner. Having dinner at the Ridge Garden Restaurant is a waste of time & money Too bad as years ago when the Restaurant was on Arbutus Street, it was a good Chinese Canadian Restaurant. What can I say! This isn't a fancy nor quality chinese restaurant but it is fast and convenient and they cater to most construction workers via delivery or dine in. The places at lunch is typically full of tradesmen. For delivery you need to order a minimum of two entrees before they will deliver to you. The food isn't the greatest and it leaves you thirsty but their daily soups are pretty yummy! Typical chinese style soup but usually full of the soup ingredients. It's not a place I would bring friends to for dinner but in find myself grabbing lunch here if I'm travelling in between sites. They also have daily special ready to be ordered so if you're in a hurry for a quick bite the daily special has next to no wait time. read more

One of the only cantonese spots in this dominantly rich white neighbourhood, so it's probably the best you'll get. Have had a few good meals here but is kind of hit & miss and wasn't great last time I went in 2019. Nice family run vibes and not too large. read more

I've been trying to find a good Cantonese restaurant in our area for so long! And am always disappointed. Nothing will ever be as good as the Ho Inn I'm afraid. I have to say the chicken chow main was perfect, and the shrimp fried rice was good. But why do they have to fill up the smaller! Container of the sweet and sour pork with onions and green peppers! The chicken kung pow.. well I could barely find any chicken. So for 75$ it was barely enough for two. I will keep looking. read more

I've always wanted to try this place it has good reviews and is close to home so I thought I'd give it a shot. Bad idea! Every time I order Chinese food from any other restaurant the portion sizes are huge! The containers are always over flowing. This one however wasn't even full. It was about 75% full so for $13 it wasn't a very attractive meal. Now let's not stop at that. In the description of the meal it says Deep Fried Prawns. I have eating my fair share of deep fried prawns to know what they look like. How are I got tempura covered shrimp. They were sooooo bad! Deep fried prawns are the best and this place did not come through. The sweet and sour pork tasted ok but lots of fat was in there that made it chewy and 1/2 inedible. I couldn't believe it. None the less I've learned a lesson. Just because a place has 4 good reviews doesn't make it good at all. The staff were friendly but that's about all this place had going for it. Great food I usually get take out for lunch myself and am always happy. Service is always great it's family owned and run.The lunch combos come with fried rice, mein amd your choice of entree with a wonton soup also. 11.50 tax included a great deal. Been going to this place since they were next to the Ridge theatre. Great Cantonese food and very friendly staff.

As a chinese from Richmond where all the good restaurants are, I can attest to the fact that this place serves homemade, authentic, high quality chinese food. We came here expecting "canadian" dishes - i.e. chow mein, fried rice, S&S pork - nothing wrong with those once in awhile. Turns out they have authentic chinese entrees for dinner. Prices are reasonable under "vancouver westside" standards. We ordered szechuan shrimp (tasted great with lots of finesse, even had fried crispy vermicelli underneath to soak up the sauce - yummy!), free range chicken, steamed pork patties. All done the way mom does it but better. Note - the best thing i find about this place is, their food is NOT salty and NOT laden with msg. I have MSG allergies so I know. It honestly taste like homemade food. The complimentary soup was better than many chinese restaurants in Richmond! read more

We ordered delivery from here and it was okay. The food arrived quickly and was freshly-made. The hot and sour soup was pretty tasty, but was neither hot (spicy) nor sour. It had bbq pork, which added a nice flavour. The spring rolls were tasty enough, too. We also had the house chow mein. It was only okay. The only veggie was broccoli, but there was a lot of meat, especially chicken. I really liked the fish balls, which aren't often a part of this type of chow mein at restaurants. The noodles, however, were pretty soggy, and the sauce was pretty bland. Overall, I'd be willing to give this place another try, but for sure, I'd order other things. read more

We were here for lunch. Excellent noodles and rice! We ordered salty fish chicken fried rice, shrimp and vege fried noodle, BBQ duck braise rice noodle. All very well cooked and we love them. As there is no reservation for lunch. Better go before 12:30pm to get a table. Take away also available and good. read more

This neighborhood favorite moved a little S + W from the Ridge Center and retains its friendly local feel. A person answers the phone and any questions, they do their own delivery for orders over $25. The food was perfect and arrive within the stated time. It was exactly what we wanted. read more

I've eaten here a few times and most recently they catered our business lunch meeting. One of the best Chinese meals that I've had. I love the chicken mushroom fried rice. I really like the sweet and sour pork with pineapple. I was addicted to this. The spring rolls were way too greasy. In fact it was all too greasy, however, it just slid out a few hours later. In typical tradition, no matter how much you eat you do eat hungry again 20 minutes later. I never did figure out the logic behind this. I appreciate how they took the care to pack things properly, neatly and made sure that everything was sealed properly. One of my biggest pet peeves with most Asian take out places is that they just throw things together and take no care in packaging, therefore, by the time you get home everything is all over the place spilling. Sealed properly and tight. Price was decent, especially for 20 with 3 - 4 servings each plus late night office snacking. read more

Ordered take out for our whole family and the delivery man was extremely rude. He rushed us to pay. We took no more then 5mins to get our money. He actually said "please hurry up as you are not the only customer I have". The food dry and tasteless. We called the restaurant to complain about the delivery man but realized that the delivery man turned out to be the owner. I guess he doesn't value customers like other restaurants. If you want to have bad food and get verbally abused by the owner then this is your place to go. This will be the last time we will order food there again!
