I enjoy coming here for the super nachos and agua frescas. The only thing is the price for the Nachos is a bit steep

One of the places my folks and I always eat at when I visit them is this little place right here. Imagine the shell of an old school taco bell building (white brick, orange-red brick border, Spanish shingles) and this is the location. Not much to see outside but inside... OMG, the menu is huge! (Literally and figuratively, it is like printed on bright yellow about 7' x 7'! It offers all kinds of carne- your safe stuff- asada, al pastor, carnitas, your more interesting- tripe, tongue and the little more exotic- lips, brains, etc. Nothing goes to waste! Once upon a time they would circulate these coupons, which were probably about the size of a third of a business card, i dunno how people found them but my mom was always loaded with them. Anyway, you'd get 8, yes EIGHT tacos and TWO drinks for $4.99! Every now and again one of these magical coupons will resurface, apparently in one of the local city publications (yes all in Spanish). And did I mention that if you eat in you get free drink refills? Even on agua fresca! Their horchata is heavenly! Thing is though, it is very much in the 'hood, and English is most definitely a foreign language, and it's not on anyone's way anywhere- unless you live here or have relatives who live here. But hey, you never know. Your car may break down in the area, or a random tornado may suck you up and drop you close to here. However you make it to the area, do check out this place. read more

Carne asada tacos are BOMB here. It is mostly locals and people know what's up. If you eat in they give you nachos with beans which are damn tasty. I don't usually like beans but they do beans well. Think of it is a mini side order of nachos for free if you order a couple of tacos. Insider tip: they do free refills on drinks like horchata but it isn't posted anywhere so you have to ask. I love the food here and the staff are friendly. It is very popular with locals. Parking lot is on the small side for how popular it is. read more

Alright as many of you have read the place is good but there's one flaw THEY DONT HAVE A NUMBERING SYSTEM. Numbering system as they call your order number so you know it's your order, I find it confusing when they just name the orders by there food name. When you have 2 or more people ordering the same plate it gets confusing. read more

This isn't my favorite taco spot, but it's super close to my house so it's very convenient. I always order the carne asada tacos, they are you standard size taco so a bit small. I usually order two, if I'm super hungry I'll order three. Anywho...They're pretty decent in my book(though I have had better) and not too pricey. I think it's about 4 dollars and change for three tacos. The service is quick and friendly. I would recommend this spot if you were in the area. They also have what the call "super nachos" which is a huge portion of nachos topped with carne asada or whatever meat you prefer. and cheese. It's pretty delicious. read more

Took Mom and a friend for all sorts of tacos and unfortunately they did not measure up to the simple basic taste that a taco deserves. This place has sadly sold out like other taco places have been doing lately. Watered down meat, expensive, terrible sauce. The meat on my tacos is extremely bland and looks like it was boiled then quickly heated up on the grill. $2.00 for bland tacos. Also if the sauce was amazing sauce it could in theory make the bland tacos taste better, however, the sauce is watered down and terrible. Stay away from this place. read more

This place feels like a second home to me. I've been coming here for the better part of a decade and I've yet to be disappointed. The tacos are awesome. The burritos, even better. Even their french fries are good (as long as they get enough of the season salt on them). But as I'm sure you've seen in the other reviews, the super nachos are the bees knees. It's near impossible to finish on your own but the journey is what's important, and if you do finish them, you feel like a new man. Probably from the weight you just gained but who cares, they taste great. I'm not in the area as much anymore which sucks but every time I go here I never leave disappointed. NOTE: My review is based on their carne asada. I had the pastor once and I didn't think it was that great but the asada is awesome so I just stick with that. read more

Best Mexican food in the valley! In the past I used to only eat real Mexican food in San Diego closer to the boarder. Since I have family in the Valley Rigos tacos is one of my favorite Mexican restaurant to go to. Finding authentic food is hard to find these days. I love the burritos, carne chips and the horchata. I'd been meaning to try this local place for awhile, as i heard they have pretty good tacos. It was decent food, but overall its strong point is the preparation of the meat. The rest such as salsa, beans condiments were average. I ordered three different types of tacos, pastor, asasda, and bbq. Of the three the asada was the best. Given that the pastor and bbq should have been flavored, it was the asada that was memorable. My Guest who ordered the Burrito asada got a good sized burrito for the price but not much else like chips or a side. overall good for lunch when nearby, but i wouldn't brag about this place. read more

I love tacos, man. I have a running debate going out with my friends about where to get the best tacos ever. When one of my friends stated this was the best place to get tacos in all of LA, I knew I had to come here. First off, the place is alright. It's very much what you expect from one of these taco places: plain and easily-cleaned interior areas, a salsa bar, and that general "we're here to sell you tacos" feel. The place was cleaner than other LA-area taco joints, so that's a win. I got some carne asada tacos, as that's the standard against which I measure all taco places. What did I think of the tacos? I though they were ok. There was really nothing amazing about them, at least not enough where I can say "best tacos in So Cal" or anything even near that. As for the salsa bar? Yeah, it was good. But that's like having a condiment bar full of condiments dressing up a plain burger: it'll help, but still. All in all, I'm certain I'll return here. I know there'll be a situation where I'm so hungry that I don't care where I eat as long as the food is passable. This place will do, but it won't be one I'll be dying to visit. read more

This used to be my goto fix for Burritos and Super Nachos their food is top notch for a Mexican Fast Food joint. The major gripes I've had with this restaurant are the raise of their prices and $1 charge for using your debit card. Sorry but there are other places equally as good that don't charge that. Their salsas are some of the best in the area though and they give you beans and chips if you dine in. read more

This place is the jam!! The food is always good and great quality, especially for the price and portion sizes. I usually get the gordito, but everything else I've had has been so good. I unwittingly came here looking for a bite to eat.. I realized they had birria and decided to try it.... It was completely awful.. the caldo (broth) tasted and seemed as if water had been added to it. The beed tasted extra gamy and I could not eat it. I did enjoy The rice and beans I got on the side. If I could give zero stars I would. The customer service is extremely disappointing. My parents have been coming here since the 90's and the service and food is not the same. The meat taste raw and my whole families stomaches were in pain after the meal. My parents have been taking us to eat here since we were kids and each time I felt that something was wrong, so therefore we will never eat here again and I wouldn't recommend this Rigo's Tacos as an option when you're out trying to look for a good time with family. I am so disappointed by my experience here. The cashier lady was extremely rude. We were off to the side,deciding what we wanted to eat, and the lady kept asking "que quieren?" After deciding, I first ordered a combination plate with shrimp but immediately said "Can I get a combination plate with a burrito instead of the shrimp?" She said yes. I said please no cebolla or salsa. After waiting a while, I got my food and went home. After getting home, I realize she charged me for a combination plate but only gave me a burrito in foil. The cashier had an attitude and she would "reprimand" the other employees over small things in front of everyone and it made her look bad, not the employees. When she asked if we had the change we said no and she sighed very loudly. The food itself wasn't very good either. I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito and my dad ordered 2 tacos and a steak torta and it was all mediocre. The chorizo tasted old. The al pastor tasted old. The tacos, torras, fries, and nachos are good. But DO NOT order from their breakfast menu. When it comes to Mexican restaurants I judge them harshly, being Mexican I know good Mexican food. This place has met my standards so far. I say so far since I haven't tried everything on the menu yet. I've only tried the tortas, the tacos, and of course the horchata. The tortas are very good they come well prepared packed with your choice of meat. The tacos are of decent size and also are good. The horchata is where I'm the harshest. But let me tell you this is one of the best horchatas I have ever tasted besides my moms home made one. Overall the place is decent they try hard to keep it clean. Good size parking lot. Can't really complain about the food, i order the super nachos not knowing there was a difference between regular nachos and the super nachos which i got. I order my nachos with everything not knowing they were going to add the melted yellow cheese instead of the white shredded cheese, i wish i would have know there was two different sizes in nachos and the type of cheese they used on them cause half way thru the cheese taste was overwhelming. This place is always hit or miss. Unfortunately lately it's mostly always a miss. I first started coming here with my fiancé years ago when visiting the area and I remember it being much much better back then. However it's been going down hill pretty steadily since then. I always get a burrito de asada and somehow it's different every time. Sometimes it has ridiculously spicy chili on it, sometimes the cheese I get inside is bunched up in one area and doesn't melt, sometimes it big sometimes it's tiny. Fiancés super nachos lately are so watery and stink like wet dog so bad that I've lost my appetite sitting next to him and he can't even finish them because he gets grossed out. It's overly expensive in my opinion since the quality is clearly lacking. You can try it once and see if it's for you but there's much better Mexican places in the LA area. read more

I can't with this place anymore. I grew up on the super nachos. They used to be $8. Last time I went about a year ago, they were $10. Today, $12 plus $1 to run the card.
