I've been dying to come check out Rinaldi's, but with their hour and being up in Summerville, I hadn't made the trip yet. That will definitely change from here on out. I would drive an hour for these sandwiches if I had to. Growing up in boston, I miss the sandwich shops and have a hard time finding the same style of sandwiches in the south. If you're in the same boat, Rinaldi's will solve all your problems. Knowing that it took us this long just to get there for the first time, we both ordered two sandwiches so we could try as much as possible. The four we got were sausage and peppers, chicken parm, steak and cheese, and a meatball. I would have a hard time not ordering all of these again. We took everything to go and even reheating them they were perfect. We also had some cannolis that were excellent and stuffed with ricotta filling. What we didn't realize was that the sides we ordered were supposed to be grabbed by us from the case because we thought they were in the box they gave us with everything else so we missed out on the sides. I would suggest they let people know that in the future... everything else was perfect.

The sandwiches are amazing and so fresh at such a good price! The staff are very friendly and welcoming. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Love the NY/CT touches added to the deli as it reminds me of home. 100% recommend this spot!

Wow this is a real deal deli! I had the Reuben and I swear it was the best I've ever had. If there was a location closer to Hanahan, I'd be eating there several times a week. Perfect proportions and service is the best. Please go visit asap!

Was just like a NY/NJ deli. Great menu (Pork Roll too). Quick service and has energy drinks which is a lunch break necessity.

An awesome CT style deli! Yes, CT style delis are essentially the same as Arthur Avenue/New York style delis if you grew up in Fairfield County like I did. This deli was originally located in Greenwich, CT and as close to "home" as I can get. We were happy to make the trek to Summerville for a delicious chicken parm sub. This place was no frills, which is what I expected, but the price was on point. $13 and change for a hero. The sauce, cheese and chicken were authentic, Italian style. You can't find food like this in SC! So delicious with a friendly CT staff. Please open a second location on Johns Island. A good deli is what's missing!

I'm always on the lookout for a great deli and this one is right in my ballpark. It's a small deli and I did a takeout order. I got there right at noon and it started to get really busy after I got done ordering. I got the Reuben for my husband and the BLT for myself. We took them home and ate them and they were both delicious. My husband has been looking for a really good Reuben sandwich in the area and this one is at the top of the list for deliciousness. We will definitely be back in to try some other sandwiches on the menu.

Cute little deli. Easy to get to with lots of parking. Seating for about a dozen inside with additional outside tables. Quick, friendly, efficient cashier took order. Gave a discount for paying in cash. I ordered cold Italian on roll. The Kaiser roll was delicious and they have them delivered from a bakery in NY. Lots of meat on sandwich and twice the cheese other sandwich shops give. Now I want to go again to try their meatball sandwich!

Outstanding deli, Just like back home. This was our fifth or sixth visit and it continues to be awesome. My wife had the Enzo (left) and I had Off the Boat (right) Absolutely delicious.

As a New Yorker I definitely miss my neighborhood deli. I saw this place as a recommendation on Facebook and saved it in my back pocket for when I had a day off as they close earlier. When I went in even though it wasn't time (lunch) for the hot heros they were willing to make me one. And I was so grateful. I had the chicken sandwhich with bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo. It tasted exactly like I needed it to!! I also picked up a rainbow bagel - the best rainbow bagels aren't just dyed but have a distinct flavor- this was definitely that. And lastly, I got the rainbow cake because I have been craving rainbow cookies and like with everything else it hit the spot. Highly highly recommend for both the food and customer service!

Not very friendly staff. Food okay but I prefer two other sub businesses more. Not much seating inside.

Went here on a whim bc they just happened to be at Low Tide near my house. I hadn't heard anything…read moreabout it and had no idea how good it would be, I just figured it'd be okay and that would've been fine. Stayed basic and just ordered the chicken parm sandwich and meatball sub. We cut both in half and shared. That was easily the best chicken parm sandwich and the best meatball sub I've ever eaten. So much flavor & the textures were delightful. I usually can pick out things that would've made my food better, even if I enjoyed my meal, but in this case I have no notes. It was absolute perfection. Wish I would've taken a photo so I could post it here but I wasn't expecting to leave a review. Bravo!

To begin, I will state unequivocally that the meatball is my favorite sandwich (unless I'm in…read moreChicago, then it may quickly switch to a hot dipped Italian beef). So, when I first discovered the "Chucktown Meatball Co.," I hunted them down with the intention of telling them how disappointed I was, since it is SO rare I have a meatball worth its salt. Often, it has been a miserable experience, especially since I ONLY eat housemade meatballs and not the atomic waste, cylinder shaped frozen craters found at the fast-food shack of your (poor and ill-advised) choice. It took some effort, but I finally find them via Instagram, pull up to their truck parked somewhere in the swamps of West Ashley, and order the Meatball Hero (marinara on toasted Italian roll and topped with Pesto, parmigiana, and stracciatella). The preparation took a little time but trust me - that is a good thing. Before long, we complete the handoff, and I walk back to my car and immediately take a bite. Incredible. Are these the best meatballs I've ever had? No, they are not. That trophy belongs to my departed Italian mother's concoction. However, these are so good, tasty and fresh, I find myself heading back on a weekly basis (if not more). I wanted to try their pasta and other things but couldn't get off the meatball hero. Finally, the owner, in an almost plea to rid me of my demons, suggested the chicken parm hero (chicken cutlet with marinara, mozzarella, provolone, and parmigiana with pesto/stracciatella on a toasted Italian roll), and I obliged. Equally incredible, with a red hot fried fresh chicken cutlet smothered in a molten mess that was glorious to eat. Both sandwiches should be common in the Northeast (with varying degrees of quality) but finding them in Charleston at this culinary level is as rare as driving down a street with no flooding. We're talking about super high-quality food here (shockingly prepared in a truck) at a more than reasonable price. The following week, I went back to my meatball hero, because it's what I crave. I'll eventually get around to trying the pasta, but for now, let me go down swinging with a toasted Italian roll in my veins and a smile on my face. When you find them, walk up and tell them Milo sent you. They'll know.

And I'm happy to report that it exceeded my expectations! The slice of pie was HUGE (very tall) and it had some kind of a sauce/cheese combo on top of the tomatoes that was fantastic. Combined with the pie crust, it reminded me of a slice of Chicago deep dish pizza! My husband and I also shared the following: cinnamon rolls, salted caramel brownie and a white chocolate raspberry bread pudding muffin. All were huge, rich in flavor and very satisfying. I already can't wait to come back again! :)

Because if I need it and it's not there I'll come find you. :) The filling was the best filling I've ever had. The baked portion, too. And I grew up enjoying the bakeries of NYC and the area. What made it so good? It was not a disgustingly sweet, gelatinous blob. It had what I could only call a "natural" style filling. Not gelatinous. Not super sweet. One bite and you'll know that this is the way it's really supposed to be. It will ruin your enjoyment of all other blueberry danishes. Like I said, don't order one. :) Bon appétit.
