Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. After placing my order, I waited approximately 44 minutes for my food to arrive. When the Churrasco Mofongo ($27.99) finally came out, the portion size was surprisingly small and did not reflect the price at all. For nearly $28, I expected a much more substantial serving and better overall value. What made the experience even more frustrating was that I also ordered four pastelitos at $2.99 each, and those ended up providing more food and better value than the $27.99 Churrasco Mofongo. It's hard to justify paying nearly $28 for an entrée when a few appetizers totaling less than half the price leave you feeling like you received more for your money. To make matters worse, the staff was largely inattentive throughout the visit. It was difficult to get anyone's attention, there were no updates regarding the long wait, and customer service felt like an afterthought, only because the question "Can I have an update on my order" was asked to the staff. A 44-minute wait can be understandable during busy times, but keeping customers informed goes a long way, especially when multiple families sat, ate, and left before receiving the order. Overall, despite the churrasco mofongo tasting really good, between the excessive wait time, the lack of attentiveness from staff, and the disappointing portion size, I left feeling that the meal was not worth the price. I hope management takes a closer look at both the service and the value being provided to customers. read more

The service is horrible. We've been here an hour, and still no food. What makes this even more confusing is there's only 8 tables total in the restaurant. No large parties, smaller tables. The servers don't even check on you, they just disappear. The restaurant is hot, only 3 ceiling fans rotating hot air. The mosquitoes will get you, nothing is enclosed. When we visit each summer we visit easily multiple times.. the staff is amazing and recognizes us when we walk up and everything and I mean everything taste amazing. Needed a fast place for lunch after some beautiful snorkeling at Tres Palmas beach. Found this place on Yelp and reviews were solid so we tried it out. Plenty of parking and indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly staff and a lot of locals seemed to go. The prices were amazing. Water, two sides, and a main were under $10. A real hidden gem! If you're in Rincon, get one lunch away from the town square and outside the resorts with this great local hole in the wall. The seating is outdoors but covered so you can enjoy that warm coastal air. The food takes a long time (maybe unreasonably slow, we waited more than 45 minutes after ordering), but it is fresh and delicious. And the prices are right. At lunch, they have a special where you can get a protein, a side, and a drink, all for under $9 a person. Can't beat that. Despite the prices, the flavors are incredible and the portions reasonable. I had grouper bites as my main, and I highly recmend them. The fish was thick and fresh, covered in a crispy breading that tasted similar to KFC chicken. It was delicious. For sides, I had mangu balls, which were good but a little bland. My wife had mamposteo con gandules, and that is the one to go with. This is one of the best side rices we have ever had. Amazing to get so much flavor in a rice. Bonus points for a pleasant vibe and nice staff. read more

A cute casual spot to try one of the best monfongo y caldos you'll have in PR! The caldo was so flavorful and paired perfectly with the mofongo. Rincón Boricua is the best lunch deal in town! This is traditional Criollo food, and the team here is very kind. RB is owned by the same family as Red Flamboyan, but this is more casual and in the heart of town. I have celiac disease, and they are very good with allergies, and I've never gotten sick here. My suggestion is the grilled chicken breast with garlic butter sauce, rice and pink beans, and sweet plantains. Great for take out or dine-in. read more

This place wasn't obvious from the road and as we drove up appeared very unassuming. We decided to stay for sit down service and received our drinks. I have now had the best white sangria ever! My daughter had a, as she said it 'divine', perfectly sweetened Pina Colada. After the amazing drinks we were further taken back by our entrees. I got the Churrasco and was absolutely stunned by the flavor. By far the best on this side of the island. Finally we topped off the night with coconut crème brûlée. It was a small serving but perfect after an incredibly filling diner. This crime brûlée was topped with fresh whipped crème and coconut and was, well like the entire experience, absolutely delicious! My family is here vacationing from California, my husband is Puerto Rican and we decided to stop by for lunch. Everything we ordered was delicious! They have great lunch specials.
