This place packs a punch with service. I had several waitreses check on us several times with very friendly smiles. The food came out fast but tasted good and fresh. I just came for "breakfast" which was steak, french fries and eggs over-easy. 10 minute walk from the Sheraton. Had 3 great dinners there this week. The first two I got the mandatory tip on the bill but for some did not tonight, maybe because I was tipping Juavez, the hired dancer and she was beautiful. A treasure. The music volume was at Heart stopping level but it was great. Don't miss out on a great local taxi driver watering hole. I will DEFINITELY stop in again when I'm back in town without a doubt. This place was recommended by the guy at the executive car rental place. It's on a deserted street and looks like a hangout spot for taxi drivers. We ordered the cuban sandwich. It was so good we came back again. The bread, ham, pork and cheese taste fresh (my only complaint is there should be more pork on the sandwich). Excellent prices, and a great selection of Cuban cuisine for this Cuban-American who has been away from Florida for way too long. Had a media noche sandwich and a chocolate milkshake; both were perfect, and heard no complaints about the other meals on offer. It was quiet when our party arrived (around 4 o'clock in the middle of the week), so service was fast and the waitress was pleasantly talkative (although she did at one point forget a part of our order, leading to an unnecessary delay, so a small mark off there for service). Can't comment as to the atmosphere, given how quiet it was at that hour. The decor is a bit on the chintzy side, it must be admitted, but nothing to be bothered by. read more

Worst service ever. No one acknowledged you when you sit in, out or in the outside bar. Takes forever to put in an order because the attendants are always flirting with Uber drivers for a bigger tip. If you don't tip them good on daily basis they won't pay attention to you. Not only is the worst service in miami, they also stick an automatic 20% tip to your bill. If you try eating inside to get served quickly you have to eat with an infernal phone ringing all the time with out someone answering the phone. It's very local; most customers are men because the waitresses are beautiful and the dancers as well. We sat at the bar and no one acknowledged us for about ten minutes. No waters or drink orders at all were taken. Employees were not very friendly or welcoming. They seemed disorganized and one girl was just milling around looking lost with stains all over her work shirt. It didn't seem clean. The guy sitting next to us told us not to try the chicken and that it was disgusting. he couldn't even eat it all and left with most of the food still on his plate because he was so disgusted. Sucks because I read good things about this place. We finally got up and left after they told us they didn't have the ingredients to make the daily special for that day. It was noon and they had already run out of ingredients to make two of the four daily specials. There are hundreds of better restaurants within 10 minutes from this place. This was absolutely amazing! The empanadas were to die for. We ended up ordering four to go. The flank steak was incredible and cooked to perfections we also tried the baked chicken with black beans and fried plantains. My wife and daughter had the Cuban sandwich and shared it. Very quaint little place in an industrial area. We sat outside, no one was sitting inside. I had fried pork chunks and my husband had pork steak. Both were delicious. The waitress added a little entertainment as she danced to the music that was playing. After we finished eating two flashy dressed ladies started dancing and singing on stage. If i could give this place 0 stars i would! This is the worst place to eat at. The servers are extremely rude and don't care about the customers. In the time i was here i saw 3 different tables leave because no one came to help them. The server got my sisters order wrong twice and had to take it back and fix it to only bring it back wrong again(how hard is it to forget no onions or mayonnaise). When paying my bill it took another 15 mins for her to get it (the place wasn't busy) and when i asked for a container one of the servers had an attitude giving it to me. Ive worked in the serving industry so i love to tip big but our server didn't deserve a tip considering how rude and unattentive she was but she still added her tip to my bill. I'm beginning to enjoy my stops at MIA. Another local Cuban joint. Great outdoor setting, bar style stools. Very authentic menu choices. I ordered the carne empanada, Cuban sandwich, and a side of Papas (French fries) with a Corona. Fast, great tasting. Pleasant service, very homie, warm feeling.
