    Papusas on their way
    Mona A.

3 stars overall as the quality has gone down significantly I used to love this spot, as their burritos were solid and regular burrito used to be $8 and super was 10 or so. But now their burrito cost have gone up to $15 but the taste has declined which is a bummer I have tried their papusas as well, and those are okay. I would get their shrink burrito, or their carne burrito; both of those I loved before. Their customer service is okay, they are more of a serve yourself type of place - nothing wrong with that. I just wish the flavor was the same and they cooked their carne more and didn't leave it grizzly (where it's chewy, which used to not be a problem)

Ok so I've wanted to try this spot for longer then I care to admit. Being vegetarian it can be hard to find options at spots who use mostly meat on the menu, so I kept it simple: bean and cheese pupusa for myself and chicken tamale for the wife. The service was nice and welcoming, the wait for the food real, lol. You are getting fresh cooked though, so it's like right out of your kitchen at home!! In terms of food quality, I was blown away, the pupusa was really great! Wife also stated the tamale was top notch. I do recommend this spot and will be back for more!!

We came in at around 1pm on a Sunday- it wasn't too busy and there was only 1 other party in front of us. I could tell there were a handful of online orders as the staff seemed busy with packing up lots of to go orders. We ordered the horchata, 1 al pastor taco, quesabirria, and chicken quesadilla. However, for just the 3 food items, it took about 30 min to arrive which was surprising to us as when we ordered these items at other places, it doesn't take as long. The al pastor was a bit too oily and salty for my liking. The quesabirria and chicken quesadilla were pretty good, but the meat could've used more flavor. Overall, decent food and spot but probably won't be coming back because of the long wait.

This place has some of the best pupusas in the South Bay. The horchata I love it's more on the sweeter side since it's Salvadorian style. Service was quick and easy, they bring you all your needs right away. The restaurant is small but cozy it has such a home vibe everyone is all smiles and love to enjoy their live sports on the TV. Will definitely be back for some more pupusas did I mention the cheese pull is *chefs kiss.

This place is a small hole in the wall but boasts a good sized parking lot. The interior felt clean and it had quite a few tables inside as well as some outside. The workers were friendly enough- more "down to business" though (which I appreciate). We got a sopes, cheese pupusa, bean and cheese burrito and a la carte enchiladas. The pupusa was really tasty, and had a good homemade feel to it. The burrito was lightly toasted. It took a little bit to get our food, but totally worth it for the very fresh quality. We will be back!

She was trying to give more taco sauce when pupusas come with tomato sauce.

I went there today and the lady who was making the orders got mad because I asked her for more salsa for my pupusas. And she did not put repollo in my bag. I got 3 different orders with 3 different bag, I can believe they're very expensive and they do not want to do a good service. She act like if she was the owner of the place take care of a very small size of sauce container.

My coworkers and I came here for lunch because one of our coworkers mentioned the birria tacos here were good. My white coworker ordered birria tacos but was told they did not have any today. Him and my other coworker ended up getting burritos instead. I ordered the enchilada Michocana and it was pretty good. While we were eating, we saw a Mexican guy come in and sit in front of us. Then, we saw him eating birria tacos It's funny how they said they did not have birria tacos but we saw them serve it to someone else.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon around 3 pm. Ordered two regular tacos- a carne asada and a carnitas. Both tacos were delicious. There were quite a few people enjoying their meals. The papusas also looked delicious- and I would have ordered one if I could eat cheese.

He loves this food truck. So I knew I had to try, especially pupusas which I haven't had in years and my coworkers said these were the best in the area. And it did not disappoint because it was so good! It was $5 per pupusa and there are three styles. I had the mixta/revuelta. I kid you not I haven't had good Latin American food since high school and it knocked me back years. It came with a generous bag of curtido, which is similar to coleslaw except the sauce was lighter and the cabbage was chunkier. The pupusas themselves were large and three made me very full. I could've just ordered two. They also had a pretty large completely filled cup of salsa roja. Service was speedy and they accept credit and debit cards too. The staff are bilingual in English and Spanish. The food truck is in the parking lot of O'Malley's, an Irish themed sports bar. I would love to eat this before or after a night out. There is a tented seating area to eat on site immediately outside or if you are going to the bar you can take your food with you. The bar doesn't serve food, so this is THE FOOD, and it's GREAT food. There is also a website where you can order online and pick it up.

Absolutely delighted to report that the Super Carnitas Burrito, Queso Birria Tacos and Platnos Fritos are still FANTASTIC. Carnitas crispy and smoky; so flavorful. Birria tacos juicy and the dipping sauce is a meaty, juicy flavor bomb. And the plátanos (plantains). Absolutely the best. Even the extras like refritos, sour cream and salsa are special. Service is charming and friendly and quick. I am so, so glad to put this epic place back in our rotation. Gracia Paper Platez!

We wanted papusas and Comalito came up with spectacular reviews and was open (at time of writing,…read morethey open Fri-Sun)! Food and service were great. Food ordered: Yucca fries on the house! 1. Plantano Fritas (4/5) I love a plantains and these were delicious and less oily than other which I appreciate! Personal preference is a I prefer a little more sweetly caramelized plantains, but I did really enjoy this. The dish comes with a white creamy sauce and a refried bean dip - both yummy and not overpowering in flavor. Papusas: Lots of flavors to choose from! And in general, for all the papusas, the papusa batter is wonderful and the porportion of filling to papusa is perfect. 2a. Calabaza Papusa - mixed cheese + zuchinni (4/5) This was the most cheesey papusa, where the cheese was the heavy lifter. I enjoyed it and every bite had a nice cheese pull too it. I would have liked to see a little more zucchini green, and for it to add to the textures. 2b. Frijol y Queso Papusa - mixed cheese + refried beans (5/5) My favorite! Can't go wrong with a bean and cheese papusa and this was so so good. I recommend this classic pairing of flavors anywhere. I was thinking about this papusa for days. 2c. Chicken Papusa - mixed cheese + chicken (5/5) This was also really good. the chicken is mixed in with the cheese, so every bite has both, which was nice. There was also a lovely seasoning which balanced all the flavors beautifully. 3. Churros: This usually comes with vanilla ice cream, and the server warned us they didn't have any in stock. We were fine with that because we love churros. When we were complete with our papusas, they served us our churros and surprised with apple slices instead of ice cream which was a lovely touch. Parking: There is no designated parking lot that we have found, but the public 2 hour parking lot 2 blocks over on Second Ave! Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at Comalito. The hardest hurdle is parking, but once you find the public parking lot a couple of blocks over, it was easy to find and gives you a little exercise before you eat! Papusas were all delicious and there is a plenty of seating room. Keep in mind they are open Friday-Sunday only at time of writing.

The spot is full of character and a good amount of seating. The customer service is great. Everyone was so kind. We each ordered 3 pupusas of bean & cheese w/ curtido and some casamiento to share. I also got a side order of carne asada. All the food was good. Everything was full of flavor. The carne asada was tender. The pupusas had the perfect mix beans and cheese, with the masa being light and fluffy. The casamiento with a great mix of rice and beans. The only negative was the curtido. It was ok. Somewhat soggy and not very crisp. Also, lacked any flavor. It's a small thing, but otherwise the dinner was 5 stars.
